This was an insightful read. At first, I was really benefiting from the light descriptions and not going too deep into technicals - because I was hearing some things for the first time.
It was nice to see how Ayurveda, leeches, fasting, water therapy, plants, spices and other natural processes prevent and cure different diagnoses.
However, one of the biggest drawbacks of this light writing was when it came to nutrition, as one of the most important factors of healthy life. The writer seemed to propagate light plant based vegetarian diet, with no in depth analysis on how that fits into different lifestyles, especially when it comes to people who are psychically active.
But aside from that, the book was super insightful into how western based medicine focuses on curing consequences, whereas natural medicine is more oriented towards causes - and how integrative medicine, combination of the above, could actually be the smartest way forward. :)
