Soren McKinin; the disappointment of the family, the child his parents wished did not belong to them, the type fathers warned their daughters, not to date. Anger issues, a heartless brute that got into fights and saw the world as dark grey, a helpless and pointless lump of rock. He was incapable of happiness, of love. So Soren would fall, he'd fall unnoticed and unwanted. He would fall just like snow.
Ugh. This book was so good but i think once I re-read it, Ill knock down the rating. I honestly want to readwattpad books again but then I'll go in a spiral of wattpad and it just doesn't stop so 👉💀
Edit: just re read it (22/05/23) still good low-key realising it has such random skips and kind of emo but still good 😭
This book was beautifully put together. It was clear the author knew what they wanted the plot and storyline to be and they executed it wonderfully. Jay and Soren are basically complete opposites at first sight, and yet you see why they are meant to be. Beneath everything they hide under, they are very similar and can confide in one another. They bring out the best in one another, most of the time, and can really be themselves around the other. The two worlds of Soren and Jay clash and become a beautiful masterpiece. The ending was beautiful, but I was hoping for a little more, but other than that, it was magnificent. This book brought out tons of laughs and even cries, and I loved it. If you are looking for a wonderful romance book, this is the one.
The story itself was amazing, Soren and Jay developed a great chemistry, the story moved in great rhythm, nothing was forced. Overall, you would laugh, cry and scream from excitement reading this book, however the grammer was confusing and frustrating at times.
I’d seriously like to thank the author for this book! Though its grammar may not be the best, its plot and subject have hit me right where they needed to. I’ve read this book many times and shamelessly so, and each read has brought something I needed, that it be reassurance or simply a good time. Through Soren’s personal struggles which easily ring a bell inside a reader (for myself at least) or the sweet love story that blooms between the two protagonists, the author has managed to hit me deep with this story and its message. Lastly, I think everyone should take a shot at reading How to punch Soren McKinnin because of its necessary message and view on mental illness. As someone who’s read the book in the midst of a bad mental crisis, I can say that for myself, it did bring comfort through a weird sense of companionship between Soren and myself. Something that I found I deeply needed in times of struggling.
The contrasting personalities of the two main characters made for an interesting dynamic. I will say I really enjoyed the story at the start but it kind of lost me towards the end. Soren was such a real character and I will say his struggles were represented so accurately. I felt like the ending made him lose his spirit but also we all love a happy ending so can’t complain.
I read this on wattpad HAHAHA but like omg this is insane. It made me cry at times, and Soren was everything. He was abit toxic at times, but at the end when he saved those kids it made me cry sm. This book gave me literal shivers! I loved it im probably going to read the one on Colin now.
Loved the way it was written. Soren was just that one character you couldn't get out of your heart. A beautifully and creatively written book that deserves so much more readers. I'm 100% satisfied.
I’m a big an of cliches and good writing. this has both of those. one of the best books I’ve read this year. it made me happy and sad. also I cried a lot.
i honestly have nothing to say about this book besides that it was amazing, but i say that for every book i like, so imma have to come up with a new phrase...UGGGGH OFF TOPIC! anyways, this was a spectacular (yay) book! jay was just a little bit......dull, but ill cast off that fact coz i really liked this book. in a way, jay was also a really good character - she wasnt afraid to be alone. so yah....i highly recommend this book!
This is a beautifully written book. Jay and Soren are complete opposites at first sight but the similarities between them become more known throughout the book. I really like that everything didn’t happen at once. It was a gradual process for them to become close. I enjoyed how Soren didn’t really like Jay at first but came to accept her. Although I liked how their relationship was a gradual process, I did not enjoy how long it took. I believe the time it took for them to become a couple was excessive and some events were a little to extra and unneeded. I also did not like how short some of the chapters were and I wish they were a little longer.
I recommend this book to anyone interested in romance or young adult fiction. However, I believe any lover of literature can appreciate this amazing work of art.
This was one of the best books I ever read. The story and the characters... The way they are written is just amazing. I love this series!!!! It's not a typical love story, bad boy meets "good girl" Amasive shoutout to this writer !!
