Gwenlyn Bennet has lived peacefully as an honorary member of the notorious Summers coven for ten years, but she’s never known a blood relative until she wakes up with the ghost of her twin sister hovering above her bed. When the coven falls mysteriously ill, Gwenlyn embarks on a quest for a cure with the dubious help of her dead sister, but can the duo accomplish their task before the witches run out of time?
It was a very fast paced book and was really entertaining. I liked the characters but wish that we would see more of Gwen's and Winnie's relationship, which felt really flat to me. But other than that it was a quick nice read.
I really liked this book. It was fast paced without skipping over details that were needed to bring the story together. I've read books about witches and magic before that got so complicated and used completely made up words that I had a hard time following. This book had simple concepts and explanations that kept me interested. The characters were also well described and developed nicely though the story. I downloaded the first two books for free, but I would have gladly paid for them. I look forward to reading more books in this series.
Enjoyed every minute. Read in a couple hours. Just a fun read. Easy to pass the time with. She left no ties untied which is something that will ruin a book for me. She created many many entertaining questions about the plot. Wondering who did it and all that. I can't wait to read the next one.
This story I'd for any age who loves to read about witches, such detail in this story line. This author has you wondering, laughing, and crying. Its such an awesome way to leave reality and use your imagination as well as go far away from where you are. Loved it would give it 10 stars if it would let me. Must read for any age..
Another good leisure read. I had read the first book in the series and liked it. This book holds itself out as a "prequel" so it had lots of opportunities to lay groundwork for story lines later on in the series.
I didn't particularly care for the ending (even though I know it will be the lead-in to the next book. it just felt unsatisfying. No book is perfect, however, and overall I enjoyed it.
Witches and evil - what a good, easy , entertaining read. Good and bad, white witches vs dark witches; an outcast adopted witch and a jealous family member, unaware community and disaster all combine for an interesting unbelievable but believable read. I am actually looking forward to more/ continued ventures!
I enjoyed this book immensely. It is a fast read and kept me turning the pages. The characters were believable and interesting. I cant wait to read the next book in the series.
A fun and lighthearted mystery with just the right amount of fantasy. A quick fun summer read. This is a series where I imidiatly went and got the other books so I can keep reading right away. 4,5/5 ☆
Not very entertaining and some parts were just plain boring. However, I do intend to read the next book in this series to see if maybe I just missed the whole idea in the first book.
I really liked this book. It is the prequel to the Yew Hollow Cozy Mystery Series. A fast paced fun read about witches and magic and covens and a ghost. It is set in Yew Hollow a town in Massachusetts. The characters were interesting and were well developed.
