School is over. Forever. And Cole is ready for real life to start. His new apprenticeship as a mechanic promises enough money to get a little flat in town, close to his pack but not too close. And who knows what else he could do with that freedom? But before that, there's a camping trip to the woods with his best mates, TJ and Ari. TJ has been Cole's best friend since before school and he's almost as good getting out of trouble as getting into it. Ari came later, but Cole can't imagine life without his sharp intelligence and sweet smiles either. If you are into guys, they don't make them easier on the eyes than TJ and Ari, but Cole is just fine keeping that to himself. They have meat to grill, some beer, and three nights to say goodbye to their childhood. Everything is going great until Cole starts feeling odd. Within a few hours his whole life is turned upside down:He is an omega. He is in heat. And he is alone in the woods with two alphas. There is no going back from that night and Cole isn't sure their friendship can survive what they shared, but one thing is certain: an omega cannot walk away from his fate.
A happier look at accidental sex story. HFN. M/M/M werewolf alpha/omega/alpha first-time romance. Mentions of mpreg, knotting and heat cycles.
N.J. Lysk (pronouns: whatever) is a queer one—in almost every sense of the word—for whom stories have always been their one true home. She studied linguistics and literature (which is to say, someone offered him a genuine excuse to read professionally) and ended up teaching, but writing is their one true love.
Addicted to angst, enamoured of mpreg and always ready to try a new kink (in a book, that’s it!) she became hooked into the Omegaverse through fanfic (but he doesn't have the patience to write other people's characters) and has recently expanded from werewolves to hockey players.

This being my first experience with this author, I really wasn't sure what to expect, but I have to say that I was actually quite impressed. Although I wish there had been an epilogue, I quite enjoyed what I read. It just felt like there was a little more of the story to tell. That being said, I found the plot interesting, the imagery vivid, the writing impactful, and the characters authentic and engaging. They really draw you into the story and you just can't help but become invested in their lives. This was a really beautiful story about three young men just coming into adulthood and learning about shared intimacy and the true power of love and friendship. This book was impassioned and insightful, achingly romantic and seductive, enchanting and enthralling, and positively riveting. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a sweet, sexy, and compelling read.
*I was given an ARC of this book and voluntarily chose to review. All opinions are my own.

2.5 stars. Coming of age story in the dismal caste system world of Omegaverse. This story was unique in that there was a level of equality and fairness in the menage relationship. Unfortunately, the ending was not solid enough.
Great story Cole becomes an Omega and has sex with his 2 best friends. They are devastated but soon come to terms with it an make the righ choice and stay friends. Great intro for omega for pack featuring Ray as the Omega. Was a free read from instafreebe. Will definitely read more.
Pleasantly surprised about all the subjects touched in this short story and the kind of shifter community. It is just a shame that it was so much in so little words/pages. Made it feel a bit all over the place and now I'm left wondering how the lives of these 3 friends-2-lovers will end.
✔ Letto!
After they graduate from school best friends Cole, Ari and TJ go on a camping trip. Ari and TJ have already presented as Alphas. Cole assumes he'll present as an Alpha as well until he goes into heat the first night. The story is about how they deal with the aftermath of that night and the changes in their friendships.
This book was unlike any of the other books I've read by NJ Lysk. That was a bit of a shocker. Okay... a BIG shocker.
This book had friendship, gentleness, and affection. I connected with all of the MC's and their emotions. There was no antagonist in this book either. I added it to my 'Favorites' folder and it will definitely be a reread.
So for some reason, I liked this. It's a short book with an even shorter and simple plot that takes ages to get to the point and it worked somehow: the combination of what is basically erotica where three friends who has secretly feelings for each other but are werewolves and are basically expected to marry women to procreate are now in the middle of some intense... eh... rubbing. The book starts almost sensually but that's because one of them won the genetic lottery and is the 1%, in a omega male 1% which is not so glamorous. In fact, Cole is just as horrified as I was, he didn't stop being afraid and worried and very aware of what is happening and what will happen. The new information about how frequent pregnancy is for people like him is and the reality of how misogynistic shifters really are... that combination of young love and instincts and lust and the horrors of not recognizing your body and being told that no matter how hard you try, your biology won't let you be much else than the nanny/breeder...
I think it was because it kept him his identity. So many books like this tend to soften things or forgive or move on so that romance and sex can happen but Cole? He doesn't just shut up and deal with it, there are romantic feelings and friendship and support from his family but it doesn't sugarcoat the horrifying reality while keeping the spice and I'd dare say that because of their Cloooose friendship and the guys' personality it still manages to steer away from dub/non-non. IMAO. I mean, really, there's just something so cheeky and daring about spending so much time in Cole's head where he's freaking out and then hear him say super serious with a straight face (minor spoiler) "guys, we should practice having sex so you won't impregnate me when I mean if we decide to mate for life". It also helped Ari and TJ are interested in each other. Harems are all nice and good (did I just say this? write this? gosh, what have my reading life become...) but I prefer at least some reciprocity, like, spreading love instead of focusing it on one person like a death ray. What a good analogy, you... *sigh*
Anyway, I understand the low ratings but for some reason, this thing makes sense to me and I enjoyed it. (I went at it with expectations of either smut (cause of the cover) or serious sexism (cause of the title and omegaverse) so the book treating this topic with such seriousness was actually a pleasant suprise.
I was genuinely surprised by how good this story was because most Alpha/omega stories of this type of mostly happy, mindless smut. I was almost expecting those horrible free bonus stories at the end because of how the story starts immediately with Cole having his omega heat. When I finished the book, though, I realized the author was good ol' Lysk back with another dark twist on the A/B/O world. No bonus stories needed.
I think I've read every book of Lysk's that I could. I like their writing style because it is often dark and twisted and makes me hurt. So many of them flip the usually somewhat pleasant world of shifters and makes sudden omega heats seem terrifying. Lysk has two series in particular that made me ache as a woman because of all the agony the omegas go through simply because being forced to have sex with multiple alphas and bear their children against your will is just pure torture to some.
Omega Under The Moon is not quite so dark; I had thought of Lysk's similar realistic look on A/B/O dynamics but hadn't made quite the connection because this story is actually a nice read. I don't think I cried for this one (as the others will either make you sick or at least definitely cry).
Lysk continues their theme of rapey-matings in this book, but the difference is the omega, Cole. In the other series I've read by Lysk, the omegas usually had no desire to be mated, to have children, to be an omega, etc. When they are forced to do those things, it breaks them. This shifter society seems much more modern/liberal in that Cole is not forced to do anything. People are kind to him and accommodate his needs. In turn, Cole feels like he is in control much more than Lysk's other omegas. Cole gets to make the choices, there are options, there is no bottom line, Cole is free to say yes or no.
In the end, Cole is able to mentally wrap his around the suddenness of his first heat and how not only he but also Ari and T.J. were violated by it when they lost their senses and copulated. The trio has a strong bond and I was happy to see it end well for them. And there is definitely room for a sequel.
Writing was good but needed another sweep from an editor. Characterization was great and added to the story (loved how Cole's dyslexia added to his character instead of making him a weird token). Would recommend.
Three best friends named Cole, TJ, and Ari, go on a camping trip together and the first page is them literally doing a circle jerk, even though they’ve never done anything sexually with each other, apparently this is in the norm for them. Cole starts to feel odd and the next thing he knows, he’s being fucked by both of his best friends. Cole has turned into an omega. Omegas were made to have babies with Alphas. A lot of babies. Male omegas are rare but they still have the ability to carry children just like the female omegas. In fact male omegas are a lot more fertile than the females. This freaks Cole out because he’s going to have really intense heats until he gets pregnant and all Alphas are going to rush to the bit to be with him, because his omeganess is irresistible but his best friends offer to be his Alphas though! So yay for that! But Cole doesn’t think its yay and it creates way too much angst in my opinion. Cole admits to always having been attracted to TJ and Ari and it turns out they both have always felt the same for him. Yet he still makes a big deal over not wanting to ruin their lives and they can’t really want to be with him. Even though TJ and Ari repeat that they do want to be with him for real and its not just a friend doing another friend a favor but Cole never seems to listen to a word they say so its not until the very last chapter that it gets through Cole’s thick skull that TJ and Ari WANT TO BE IN A RELATIONSHIP WITH HIM and the book ends with them having a threesome in a treehouse. Also, Cole sleeps an awful lot in this book and his constant exhaustion is never explained as a side effect of him turning into an omega or something else. So the book is just okay for me. It was an entertaining read, but glad it was on KU so that I didn’t spend any money on it.
Just read this and was immediately drawn into this triangle friendship between Cole and his two best friends, TJ and Ari as they enjoyed a last camping weekend together after finishing High School. All three are Wolfpack shifters, TJ and Cole friends since kindergarten age, with Ari later befriending TJ first and subsequently Cole.
None of them were prepared for what happened when they began playing about as they danced naked in a circle at the campsite. Cole falls to the ground overcome by powerful sensations and feeling in his lower body that he’s never felt before. Feeling completely out of it, he realises that both TJ and Ari have joined him on the ground and all three are fully aroused and having a threesome.
Eventually, shocked beyond belief, Cole realised he has just ‘presented’ as an Omega for the first time while TJ and Ari, reacted as a normal pair of Alphas when co fronted with an Omega in Heat.
I’ve enjoyed reading in the Omega-verse genre before but with older MC’s and it was both heartrending and lovely to see these 3 young men grapple with the consequences and challenges as a result of what happened on the camping trip. At 18 years old just as they are about to start enjoying the freedom of college life, TJ and Ari now have to think about the possibility of becoming fathers.
I loved how the 3 of them faced up to and dealt with telling parents, especially Cole, and the fact of his being a an Omega. One of them had a clue about what happens to Omega with the changing of the Moon.
This was a very short read that leaves on a HFN in so far as all three are admitting to feelings for each other and how they can deal with the future.
I was very happy to discover that a sequel was immediately available, under the same title, with 6 months later added on.
A very enjoyable diversion back into Omega Verse again after a long break.
This is the first book I have read by this author and I was not disappointed. It was a very sensitive and enthralling storyline, but tastefully written, showing the real depth of friendship between the three men.
TJ, Ari and Cole have been friends forever. School is over and Cole is ready for his real life to start. His new apprenticeship as a mechanic promises enough money for him to get a flat close to his pack and he is looking forward to his freedom. First, he is going on a camping trip to the woods with TJ and Ari; it would be three nights to say goodbye to their childhood. Everything is going great until Cole starts feeling odd and then in a few hours his whole life is turned upside down. He is an Omega and he is in heat; not only that, he is alone with two Alphas; how could he have felt so helpless. An Omega cannot walk away from his fate, but Cole isn’t sure his friendship with TJ and Ari can survive what they have shared; he is not angry or sad, he just feels shocked and anxious, but there is no coming back from presenting. As a wolf, it is now even more obvious how completely he has changed, his scent like a marker of status with all its implications. Cole needs to talk to TJ and Ari, but he just doesn’t know how to. Now is the time for TJ and Ari to confess what they have been concealing; hidden feelings for Cole and the fact that they want Cole to choose them as his Alphas. Together they come up with a plan. Life is going to get a lot harder for Cole soon enough, but with TJ and Ari’s help, he is up for the challenge. A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book and my comments here are my honest opinion.
Was soll ich sagen?
This is the first book I've read by this author and I enjoyed it. Although I have read many paranormal books involving shifters, this was the first of its kind for me. I liked that the characters involved didn't really know/understand everything that was happening. Because of that, the reader (especially a new one to this genre) gets to learn about how everything works along with them. I felt for Cole and his ever conflicting emotions and confusion. I wish there had been a little more to the end of the story. I wanted to know more about how their relationship developed in the future. Other than that, I thought it was a good story and I want to read more by this author. *I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. This is my honest review.*
The story was narrated by Cole's view, How he went into heat and how he has dealt with new found Omega status, for the whole life he thought of himself as Alpha and the sudden heat changed his life forever. The first two chapter was on edge to read what would happened next.
But sorry the rest story after that was just has so much education on Omega's life. At some point it was interesting but after that it started to lack something. Not saying, it was unnecessary because it put some light on the Omega and Alpha's Connection, How They'd control their urges that was undeniable.
But not work for me, even though TJ and Ari were well written characters, Both helped their friend in need. Yet 2.5 Starts. :(
I was sent a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. This is the first of N.J. Lysk's books I've read and I loved it. The story centers around three werewolf shifters who all think they are Alphas. The only issue is - one of them ain't! Ari and TJ are, but poor Cole, who is already feeling a bit of a failure because he's dyslexic finds out he's an omega. Suddenly everything falls apart for him. As an omega he will be the target of every hot, horny and smutty alpha who wants to get their rocks off. Thankfully TJ and Ari are there for him but he still has problems with the fate life has handed him. I loved the concept of MM+, alphas and omegas, hot and raw romance and the power of friendships. Definitely going to look for more from this author. Highly recommended read.
This is my first book by N.J. Lysk but it won't be the last. Omega Under The Moon is M/M/M Alpha/Omega/Alpha story. This book had a great storyline and fun characters. Cole, Ari, and TJ each bring different strengths to their friendship and relationship. They have been childhood friends and best friends, and they have been conditioned to help and care for Cole by helping him get through school with his dyslexia. The book was a very hot read as they figured out whether Ari or TJ or both alphas are going to be cole's mate. I would love to see more of these characters and how they work through university, working, and pregnancy. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.
Cole has been best friends with T.J. for a long time. As he comes into adulthood, he learns he is an Omega. He has good friends who want to help, he just has to let them in.
Ari & T.J. have finished high school with Cole. They all have plans to go in different directions. Is it time to talk about the attraction they have for one another?
This short jaunt into high heat starts out very quickly. These characters feel very real and I loved how honest they were about their feelings. Not just your typical shapeshifter novel, this one explores a whole new look at a love triangle.
***This early copy was given in exchange for an honest review only.
The book starts with a bang with Cole going into heat in the first scene. The remainder of the book covers Cole dealing wit the fallout of that first heat. The book assumes that you are familiar with the general werewolf concepts including alpha, beta and omega roles. A fair bit of the story would have benefited from less assumption and more explanation. The interactions between Cole, TJ and Ari are interesting and show the complexity of their relationship and long friendship. Overall it was enjoyable. I received and advanced readers copy of this book at my request and used it to write this review.
Yes please. This book is about 3 friends and an accidental threesome one night when playing a game. It just so happened on the same night that Cole presented himself as Omega and went through heat. After this night though it seemed a bit awkward since Cole's two friends TJ and Ari are both Alphas. Can he choose between the two? They've been best friends for a long time, can their friendship withstand what will happen now? I am not that reviewer to tell you the story but let's hope that there is more to come with this story. There is no cliffhanger but it would be great if there could be more for these wolves. I voluntarily read an Advanced Reader's Copy of this book.
Three werewolf friends go camping, sounds funny doesn't it? Alphas Ari and Tj are spending some vacation time with their best friend Cole. Cole suddenly presents as an Omega and the two alphas can't control themselves when Cole goes into heat. They all have crazy sex, but luckily for Cole, he did not get knotted, so he missed getting pregnant. The story details all the studying and questioning the three friends go through, trying to make things easier for Cole. Can anything be more embarrassing than talking to your Alpha mom about being an Omega with two potential mates and no clue how to be an Omega?
Three werewolves who have been friends since childhood decide to go camping. They are young men who are beginning to experience their sexuality. One is an omega and the other two are alphas. The omega is experiencing his first heat. The book assumes you are familiar with the general werewolf concepts like alpha, beta and omega. The book deals with various teen emotions and coming of age situations. Well written and interesting. I received an arc copy and voluntarily chose to review it.
WOW, I thoroughly enjoyed this book, it was my first Omega read and my first from NJ Lysk. I couldn't put it down, the plot was good, with lots of chemistry and steamy scenes. All I could ask for is an epilogue or better still a second book, I really want to follow these boys story further.
This was a story of development, maturing and change, in the life of teenage werewolf young men. A male omega is a rarity and when Cole presents as an Omega while out camping with his best friends they all have alot to understand and decisions to make.
This book wasn't bad.... but I don't think it was awesome.... it felt rushed and on top of that it ended with no real in sight into how they were all going to get on as a couple. Not to mention Cole liked both one like Cole and the other liked the other guy and it didn't go into the different attractions to a point where it was kinda like okay so what he's an omega so that makes him sexually wanted no matter what?
I guess since they didn't go to deep into it is why they were able to keep their friendship the same just with added bonus of sex and acceptance.
I really did like this book, it was just that the story line seemed to drag on. After Cole goes into heat, when he and his two best friends are out in the woods, it is then he figures out he is truly an omega and his friends are alphas. As both his friends take care of his 'needs' during his uncontrollable lust, he comes around afterward and has a hard time dealing. Most of the book is about getting information on male omegas and if their friendship will survive.
