You are not supposed to feel those things for a woman, and you are definitely not allowed to act on them when you are a Catholic priest. I had taken vows; vows that I have upheld for eight celibate years, and had made a promise to God that I swore I would never break.
But then I met Eva, my stepmother’s estranged twenty-eight-year-old daughter, and she made me forget who I was. What I was.
I prayed for guidance.
I prayed for the strength not to give into temptation.

➦My first book with a priest hero, everybody! And you know what? It turns out I'm more perverted than even I thought.
➦I've been hesitant in the past to pick up this type of book mainly because I was afraid there would be too much religious stuff for me to handle. I am happy to let everyone know that this one here is super hot and super forbidden romance with layered characters to keep you interested in their story.
➦It's naughty but well paced with enough juicy stuff to keep your anticipation fueled. If you are hoping to find hardcore sex in the confession booth on page 10, I'm afraid I'll have to disappoint you. lol This book actually has somewhat tortured characters with fascinating backstories, and I don't know about you, but I prefer to be invested in my fictional friends before the hanky panky. Ok, well may be at least a little bit invested.
➦It took me a day to plow through this one, very addicting. :) I'm looking forward to reading more of Elle Keating's work in the future. Recommended to lovers of forbidden romances and to those who have been hesitant to pick up a book with a priest hero and need a good kick in the butt.
Eva had a very strict upbringing with her bible bashing bitch of a mother and a father who enabled the abuse. She was bought up being told she was dirty and disgusting, forced to wash in holy water and spend hours on her knees praying for god's forgiveness.
She has not seen her mum or been inside a church for 10 years, until she gets a phone call from a stepfather she didn't even know she had. Eva's life changes when she steps into the confessional at her local church.
Eva has certain 'needs' when it comes to her sex life and none of her previous boyfriends have been able to meet those 'needs'. Could she get these needs from her new found step-brother who also happens to be a priest.
I watched him loop the belt in his hand. I had never been hit with a belt before, and though I imagined that it would hurt, I wanted that kind of pain.
Jamie became a catholic priest out of guilt and for self punishment when a tragic event changed his life 8 years ago. Before that he didn't date women he 'Fucked' them, it had surprised him how well he has been able to give that all up and keep his promise to god, that is until Eva walks into his confessional and tells him all her dirty secrets.
First I have to say that I did not find this book very taboo, maybe because I am not religious so I don't understand that part but even the step-brother part was not taboo as they meet before they even new they were step-siblings. I enjoyed the start of this one it had great promise but I found it started to get over descriptive and slow towards the end and I found myself skimming over most parts. The little 'twist' or 'suspense' moment near the end was good but not enough to pull it back for me. Straight down the middle read for me.
In the first few pages the hero (catholic priest) is taking the heroine's confession (through the screen etc..) and he starts getting a boner and rubbing himself and demanding she sit on her knees etc... and he is wearing a nfl tshirt and khakis and it just isn't working for me. I need a priest who has more conflicted feelings or something. (Granted I didn't make it too far into the book ...but).
This was a great forbidden romance. Eva and Jamie meet when she goes into church on a whim to go to confessional after a call from her estranged mother's husband asking her to come to Thanksgiving dinner. From the minute Eva and Jamie speak to each other in the confessional booth there is a connection. Later that night she ends up going to her mother's house to see her and meet the new members of her family and one of those members includes her stepbrother, the priest she had confessed some personal and also some salacious details to earlier. This story is great! It has depth and heat but also a lot of heart. The characters are well developed, human and flawed but also are trying to do what they think is right. The chemistry is phenomenal and really well written. Highly recommend it!
I knew when I picked this book it was about a priest so it's not like I was shocked or anything. Right off the bat this "Priest" wants to shove his cock into the heroine's mouth as a means of punishment, right in the confessional booth. How crazy is that, creepy creepy priest. I can't help but think how many times he's popped a boner while someone kneels for confession.
I read taboo priest story because I want to see the priest struggle with his convictions, I want to see him conflicted. I don't want to see him jump right into it at the 13th page with no seduction whatsoever. I might be abandoning the ship too quickly but I just can't do it. I might as well be reading a regular erotica.
ABOUT? A taboo love, an erotic novel. Jamie, a catholic priest and a sexy woman confessing to him - suddenly arousing him and tempting him to take the lead.
THOUGHTS? I've read another storylike book, but the priest there seem to have no moral problem. Opposite here Jamie struggles with the feelings for Eva and his profession, which I liked better. But I didn't like when he made a move for her and then retake his decision. All in all I have to confess I somehow got hooked ;)
I’m not gonna lie, I was pretty sceptical when I first picked up this book. I’ve read quite a few books covering this theme and most of them haven’t been that great, but this...this was one of the exceptions. This book was so damn HOT!!! So the plot wasn’t unique, so what? I was totally engrossed from the very start, I couldn’t put it down at all. I loved the writing and the characters. Jamie certainly caught ALL of my attention *wink* I’m so glad I gave this book a chance because now it’s after 2am and I’m sitting with a very very big smile on my face.
3.75 ⭐️ il libro parla di un prete? FAMMELO LEGGERE SUBITO! 👿🤣
⭐️T R A M A ⭐️
This book was just as perfect as PRIEST by Sierra Simone. This isn’t just a taboo Priest romance this is a love story.
This story revolved around a young woman named Eva whose mother was a bible bashing cruel woman towards her daughter. She ends up finding out from her stepfather that her mother is sick years later. She finds herself in front of a church. She goes into the church and into the confessional where she meets Jamie.
Jamie is a Priest at the Church where Eva goes to confession. She tells him her story and confesses to him. At a dinner she realizes that the Priest she talked to is Jamie and he is her stepbrother. Jamie became a Priest because of some issues in his life. There is definitely attraction between Jamie and Eva the minute they meet in the confessional at Church. There is lots of spice in this story but there is also pain from Eva’s past with her mother. I liked Jamie and Eva together as a couple. I didn’t like her mother. There is also violence in this story towards the end. I did love how the book ended. I found this to be a good book.
This book gave me a double whammy of taboos- a Catholic Priest who’s also the heroine’s stepbrother. As with at least three other books I’ve read in this category, BDSM is involved.
I’m happy to say this couple refrained from having sex on the altar. What was also better about this priest-heroine romance is that we see him put up more of a struggle before he yields to his fleshly desires. He has lustful thoughts about her as soon as he meets her, and their conversations cross the line sooner than I think they should have, but they don’t have sex until much later in the book.
There are three points of view in this story: the hero’s, the heroine’s, and the villain’s. Expect some angst when listening to their backstories and when the plot reaches its climax.
For me, this was still lacking on the romance side, but I’ll keep searching for that clergyman romance book I know is out there.
Jamie is a Catholic priest and during confessional, Eva comes in to discuss her sins. She ends up talking about her abusive mother and how her mom's new husband had called her because she had cancer and wanted Eva to come to Thanksgiving. Eva talks about some pretty deep stuff and when she shows up at her mom's house, she realizes she was just confessing to Jamie. Turns out Jamie is her step-brother.
I think the mixture of Jamie being a priest and her step-brother... I just couldn't get into this book.
Eva and Jamie were two very lovable characters and the story was really good but I felt like everything happened so fast, like one minute they were just fooling around and the next they were already in love.
