Un capítulo con dibujos de Miguel Ángel descubiertos recientemente o de nueva atribución muestra una perspectiva distinta de la diversidad de su obra gráfica, al tiempo que plantea la cuestión de si es posible saber cómo firmaba Miguel Ángel, puesto que de los más de 550 dibujos aquí reproducidos solo en uno aparece su firma.
Este libro no es solo una guía para disfrutar de los dibujos tanto a nivel sensorial como intelectual, sino también una introducción a la crítica de Miguel Ángel.

O livro é ótimo e cumpre a sua função como boa referência visual para os trabalhos de Michelangelo. Só dei 3 estrelas porque sinceramente não vi motivo para uma seção inteira de esboços dos blocos de mármore e boa parte da parte de arquitetura também poderia ser reduzida. No mais, os primeiros blocos com as figuras humanas formam um material muito rico.

Can't believe I'm giving a Taschen book less than five stars.... particularly one about il divino. 725 pages of Michelangelo drawings is fine, but most of these are actually 'after Michelangelo' or 'workshop of Michelangelo.' The real Michelangelos- or at least the ones that matter- are all found in volume one of this series.

Hoewel slechts een twintigtal van de meer dan 600 afbeeldingen buitengewoon indrukwekkend zijn, is dit totaaloverzicht van Michelangelo’s grafisch werk toch een welkome aanvulling voor mijn bibliotheek qua Renaissancekunst. Deze uitgave biedt Hoge kwaliteit aan drukwerk voor opvallend weinig geld.

Some very light essays and some unforgivable typos. The quality of the images is quite good, but the size of the book is too small for them. One thing to note is that most of the famous drawings by M. are considered later copies here.

Very beautiful drawings, although most are "after Michelangelo". I would have summarised the important and would not have put so many pages. I expected it to have a little more description in the drawings

Very interesting, although there wasn't a lot of information so it was quite light for Taschen. But it is a very aesthetically pleasing view to it.

Complete illustrated guide to all the known graphic work of the artist. Good illustrations, bibliography, and index. Scholarly, enjoyable, and recommended.
