This boxed-set collects Seasons 1-3 of the hilarious science fiction comedy series, Everyday Apocalypse.
All Tom Brown wants is to live a simple life, eating ramen and watching Netflix. It's just that every Monday when he goes outside he's confronted with some new horror. If it's not vampires chasing him through the streets, it's hell spawn opening rifts in the parking lot, cosmic horrors trying to drive him insane, or giant spiders nesting on his balcony.
To make matters worse, his girlfriend can't WAIT for each new apocalypse. So far she's taken him on dragon-watching excursions, brought home a horde of killer bunnies, and insists on watching the zombie races.
What's a guy gotta do to get some peace and quiet!?
With this collection, now is the best time to catch up on the series that reviewers are calling laugh-out-loud funny!
Every apocalyptic story is usually something about how people will be running away from the event or after the world ends, and everyone suddenly has an addiction to leather and acts super dramatic. This story is about an apocalypse that changes every week and instead of running away or going crazy, people just stayed where they were and continued living their lives. After all people still need to go to work and earn money to pay the bills, even if it means they have to take the long route to work to avoid the zombies blocking the road. In this story, we focus not on some crazy prepared, strong action hero, but an average insurance salesman Tom and his awesome girlfriend Samantha. I've always wanted a silly world ending story like this, where average people continue to be average people and not reverting to strange medieval cannibals. The only other thing that I think comes close to this concept is probably welcome to night vale. I think the only problem with this was the ending. It was good but, (and I don't want to spoil it,) feels like there should be a sequel. But overall, if you want to read a short and fun apocalypse story that doesn't turn into mad max or whatever, this is definitely for you.
But in a great way. The characters go through difference apocalyptic storm as if they were in weather storms. Interesting to say the least. Recommended
