Deep in the Sub-Saharan jungles, she finds a raw, primal passion that captures her in its unrestrained, animalistic grip.

Marnie Arbinger, a brilliant hematologist, had always found solace in the safety of her sterile laboratory. Now, out on the edge of civilization, life in rural Africa is harder than Marnie imagined.

When an injured man rides into the encampment, her medical training kicks in, but as she dresses his wounds, she realizes that something is amiss about the broad, muscular, insanely attractive stranger.

Something besides the unquenchable fire he ignites within her.

Jax, a powerful tiger shifter, awakens in a medical tent to find that fate has bestowed a gift upon him. The beautiful doctor who treated his battle wounds is his.

He will love, protect, and fiercely defend her with his very life.

As formidable and fearsome an opponent as Jax is, however, there remains one thing that will bring him to his knees. He watches, helpless as a kitten, as his mate is afflicted with the horrifying disease laying claim to the village.

It’s a race against time. Will a cure to the epidemic be found before Marnie becomes another of its casualties?

Kym Dillon has done it again. Pounce is the second story in the Were-Soldier Warriors series. It is a very touching story with a little violence thrown in. I loved this story and give it 5 stars. "I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced readers copy without pressure to do so".
Marnie Arbinger, is a brilliant hematologist, who has come to Africa to be with her best friend Jessica. They are both part of the WHO or World Health Organization. Being in the field is a big jump from her safe CDC lab. She does not know why she feels this has the look of an ancient disease.
Jax is a tiger shifter on a mission to return ancient shifter weapons to the Shifter Council. He is injured and Marnie ends up treating him. Even delirious he knows Marnie is his mate?
Will she accept the fact that Jax is a shifter? Will she figure out the cure? Will she stay or return to her safe lab at the CDC?

I received a free copy of this book and voluntarily decided to review it

This is a great second book to Clawed, it carries on from where book one left off. Although .Jessica and Marcus are in this book, and you find out what is going on with them, this book is about Marnie (Jessica's best friend) and Jax (Marcus's friend).

I love that there are 2 parts to the storyline that run simultaneously and are related to each other. The book is well written with lots of action, romance and steam, the characters have great chemistry and are very loveable

I recommend this book, and the series so far, I am so looking forward to book three

This book follows where the first book left off. After I read Clawed, the first book, I downloaded the other two books right away. Great shifter book, with danger and love and two people trying to save small villages not only from hyena shifters but also from an unknown plague killing people very fast. That is why Marnie went to this far off country, she want to help the WHO find the cause and the cure before the disease wiped out an entire people. Two things she did not count on, falling in love with a tiger shifter named Jax, and coming down with the plague. Great book, beautiful. Love story with danger and hope all around.

This is a great little shifter romance, a handsome weretiger a talented doctor, a mysterious and deadly disease, what more could you ask for. This was an enjoyable easy read that took about 3 hours to read and was easy to follow and enjoyable to get into, there were a couple of steamy scenes but mainly the plot revolved around a mysterious outbreak.
If you enjoy a book with a good plot and a sweet shifter romance, then I am sure you will enjoy this book.

This beautifully picks up the threads of the story from book one and carries on bringing even more complexity to their world. I'm not sure if I've ever experienced as many emotions at once as this book asked of me. My heart was breaking, the tears were pouring down my face, but I was laughing too as I sighed with delight. The connection between Marnie and Jax is so compelling and so well written. (See the note about bawling my eyes out, earlier.) And the hints about what's to come in the next book make me want to dive into it right away.

An amazing continuation of Clawed. Pounced carries on from where Clawed left off and although Jessica and Marcus's story continues in this book, and you find out what is going on with them, Pounced is Marnie (Jessica's best friend) and Jax (Marcus's friend) story. Both story lines run simultaneously and are related to each other, with lots of action, intrigue, suspense, danger, and romance and steam.

MEOWS

I loved this book. It was a great follow up to CLAWED that I also loved. Marnie and Jax . Marine meets Jax when he is injured. She treats him, and not knowing that he is a shifter, is shocked when he wakes up and is mostly healed. He shows her his shifter animal, and she doesn't run.
They are mates. The story is cute and Sexy and I enjoyed reading it. I can't wait to read MAULED.

Wow a whirlwind of a shifter story!
Marnie is as passionate about her work as Jessica.
To be in the middle of the intensity of an outbreak and frantically searching for a solution? I can't imagine what that's like.
And then also fall in love with someone of a different kind? Emotional overload.
Throw in a special artifact in the mix too.

So worth reading!

I received a free copy and this is my honest review.

An epidemic, a tiger shifter and a doctor makes a good romance.

And has been in a fight and his bud brings him to the camp, Marnie had just arrived at. She hasn't practiced hands on medicine in awhile. She manages to fix up Jax before succumbing to the illness herself. Read this book to find out how she survives and how they fall in love.

Another great story from Kym Dillon. Pounced continues the were-warriors story from where Clawed left off. Previous characters make a reappearance and there are also clues to the next story in this one. Marnie and Jax's story explains some things about shifters/humans history and relationships. The story is sad at times but ultimately Jax and Marnie get their HEA.

Totally great

Another totally great book by Kym Dillon. I love the way she writes and the way you understand the entire concept of the story from each different perspective. She's amazing and so are her stories.

This has none of the character development that #1 had. This felt like someone took a longer story, chopped it up, then stitched it back together much shorter.

It started off with a bang and just kept going! Jax and Marnie made a great couple. The epidemic/plague was very impressively handled and made for intriguing reading. Definitely a different take on the whole shifter/mating and the whole story was a great read.
