Emotional Intelligence: The Secret of a Successful Relationship

Rate this book
Dr. Vladimir Chistoprudov has written a book about emotional intelligence that is so intense, it begins with a legal disclaimer! Advising the reader upfront that the book is not intended to be a diagnosis, prescription, recommendation, or cure for any specific kind of psychological, emotional, or sexual problem, Emotional Intelligence, The Secret of a Successful Relationship draws the reader in even before the actual book begins!

Emotional Intelligence begins with a preface that explains what emotional intelligence is and how a person can benefit from understanding emotional intelligence. Emotional intelligence is divided into four categories: empathy, relationships, self-awareness, and handling emotions. Unlike the more familiar intelligence quotient (IQ), emotional intelligence (EQ) is not innate and must be developed. Dr. Chistoprudov claims that in some cases, individuals with highly-developed emotional intelligence can engage in telepathy, mind reading, and even possess healing abilities.

Following the preface, the book is divided into five chapters. The first chapter, “Doctrine of Multiple Intelligence,” discusses Howard Gardner’s theory of multiple intelligences. According to Gardner’s theory, these eight intelligences have distinct centers of operation within the brain. Gardner’s intelligences are divided into: bodily-kinesthetic, interpersonal, intrapersonal, logical-mathematical, musical, naturalist, spatial, and verbal-linguistic. Individuals have different strengths and weaknesses within these eight intelligences, thus learning these strengths and weaknesses can be a boon for personal development as well as for building teams where the different strengths of individuals complement each other.
The remaining four chapters discuss the four aforementioned categories of emotional intelligence in greater detail. Dr. Chistoprudov’s Emotional Intelligence, The Secret of a Successful Relationship engages readers with a comprehensive strategy on harnessing an understanding of emotional intelligence to create a better life!
