Rizwan (“Riz”) Virk is a successful entrepreneur, angel investor, bestselling author, video game industry pioneer, and independent film producer.

​Riz currently runs Bayview Labs and Play Labs @ MIT, a startup accelerator held on campus at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Riz received a B.S. in Computer Science and Engineering from MIT, and a M.S. in Management from Stanford's GSB.

Книга выпускника MIT, рассказывающего о собственном опыте создания успешного технологического стартапа. Написана в художественном стиле, легко читается, после каждой главы, а также в заключении есть саммари. Это позволяет легко ее просмотреть тем, у кого мало времени на книги.

Понравившиеся идеи:
- успешный стартап тесно связан с личностью основателя (его моделями поведения, внутренними убеждениями), считающего свое дело миссией жизни;
- на старте важно правильно определить бизнес-модель, поскольку от этого зависит масштабируемость, а значит и продажи/оценка компании;
- нужно прислушиваться к своей интуиции и не забывать ежедневно медитировать, чтобы уметь фокусироваться;
- бизнес это часть жизненного пути, помогающая самопознанию и развитию, осознанности и нахождению собственного предназначения;
- важно вести дневник, куда записывать как бизнес-идеи, так и подсказки, получаемые во сне;
- наличие наставника помогает избежать ошибок на старте, в процессе привлечения капитала и в дальнейшем развитии.

I so enjoyed this book. I have tucked into it a few times now as happens with books that speak to the deeper and vaster part of who I am and who we are. Originally I thought this book was for my husband when I got it, but clearly the book found me. It has that mystical power embedded within it and it shows up just when I need it. As well, as a small business entrepreneur it connects the two aspects - spirituality and business - together for me. Until I read this book, my conditioning separated the two. Rizwan's personal journey of his business developing simultaneously with his awareness of how to leverage his energy to access potentials through inner connection and meditation is inspiring and speaks to all of our life journeys. Once I'm in this book it's difficult to stop reading. I highly recommend it. Be prepared for inner and outer shifts!

Основной посыл - бизнес развивается по пути энергетической модели предпринимателя, это нужно осознавать. Медитация оказывается может помочь в бизнесе, да и проверка "на сон" - интересная идея. В купе с книжкой "Маг с явы" Данаоса Косты, возможность существования духов для меня намного повысилась:)

This book though very easy to read, did not come easy for me. My mom suggested reading it a couple of years ago, but i never had time nor real interest.
At some point last year i finally got my hands on it, and it couldn't be more on point for my current situation in life. My parents were divorcing and i was going through a lot of stress related to that and to my work situation.
I must admit this book is not for everyone, but it helped me a lot and was probably the most inspiring book i've read in ages.
Absolutely recommend!
