Criminals like Al Capone, Charles “Pretty Boy” Floyd, and “Ma” Barker grabbed their own share of headlines, but in the end it was Bonnie and Clyde who really captured the public’s imagination. A lot of that was because of Bonnie herself. The cute, blonde criminal was unique at the time.

There is no question that their story continues to fascinate writers, musicians, visual artists, and filmmakers. But is that fascination justified? Or are we confusing the movie images with reality and ignoring the ugly truth of their story?

Buckley, who has founded a company called Shoreline Publishing Group to produce books for reluctant readers, maintains that sports are far more than simple hobbies or ways to burn off excess energy.

Bună dragilor, azi vin cu recenzia acestei cărți de non-ficțiune dedicată celor mai răi oameni din istorie si să împărtășesc un pic din experiența avută alături de acestă carte si de felul cum scriitorul prezintă acest terbil cuplu de răufăcători ai Americii din anii 1930.

Bonnie și Clyde sunt un cuplu de infractori care în afară de faima pe care o aveau pentru crimele și jafurile pe care le comiteau mai erau cunoscuți si pentru viața amoroasă dar și pentru ipostazele în care pozau cu arme în mână doar pentru a se distra.
Bonnie și Clyde s-au cunoscut pe 5 ianuarie 1930 într-o casă de pe strada Herbert din Dalas unde Clyde era invitat de un vechi prieten să-l însoțească într-o vizită la niște prieteni.
Cât timp au fost implicați in acțiuni criminale cei doi tineri au dus o viată dură cu momente la limită,jafuri prost organizate răniri și crime. Bonnie răufăcătoarea blondă si frumușică a aprins imaginația publicului dar și pe cea a ziariștilor din acea perioadă.
Bonie Elizabeth Parker s-a născut 1 octombrie 1910 și a murit pe data de 23 mai 1934 iar Clyde Chestnut Barrow s-a născut 24 martie 1909 și a murit pe 23 mai 1934 într-un schimb violent de focuri cu poliția.

În final pot spune că această carte mă face să cred că dacă în anii 1930 exista astfel de lacune în sistemul federal al Americii și astfel de oameni îsi puteau bate joc de de poliție după bunul plac,dar care în decursul anilor aceste probleme au fost remediate vreau să cred și sper că si noi putem să-l îmbunătățim pe al nostru.

Definitely a good read, lots of facts, and overall very interesting. It tends to give a lot of information all at once, especially with names and dates but again it is a nonfiction read. Would recommend this for middle schoolers, since they'd be better at understanding the text and what really happened.

3.5 stars-This book has interesting facts about Bonnie and Clyde and gave a good overview. The writing style seemed a bit choppy, but I didn’t know a lot about the criminals so I found it interesting.
