Thirteen years after the party at Starke house, Jesse Miller is now in New York, interviewing for a job.
Only this isn’t just any job interview. This interview is with Cole Pearson. The man everyone wants to work for. The man, who, in five short years, has taken the business world by storm and amassed not only billions, but the attention of everyone, who wants to be someone. Fumbling his way through a disastrous interview, Jesse believes the day can’t get any worse. That is, until Cole Pearson turns to Jesse, and he sees not Cole Pearson, but Edward Starke. Aware Starke has possessed Cole Pearson, Jesse gathers a menagerie of men to take him down.
Can a ghost, a reporter, an ex-priest, and a childhood friend come together to end Starke once and for all, or will the possession of Cole Pearson only be the beginning?

This author has done it again and brought forth another creepy but amazing short story of Edward Stark in this phenomenal read.
The characters were remarkable and completely real feeling. I love how this author weaves a new story each time but with the same characters in different time frames. I love reconnecting with characters and being reminded about what happened in previous books.
The story-line, though short, was still addicting and to the point. I was completely enchanted by this story. I just couldn't put this book down. This is by far my favorite story of them all yet with the newest twists, turns, and secrets and I highly recommend this to adults.
Book 4 in The Demon Series, and we find ourselves back with Jesse Miller from Book 2, but thirteen years on. He's never been the same from what he witnessed back in the Starke House all those years ago, but has tried to get on with his life.
Now he's in New York for a job interview with none other than Cole Pearson, the man was no one five years ago, now he is a billionaire and everyone is talking about him. The interview is a disaster, but what Jesse sees at the end will change his whole life.
Jesse believes Cole to be possessed by the spirit of Edward Starke, who has world domination in his sights. Jesse pulls together a collection of people to help take Edward Starke down.
Another very engrossing read, I love how these books connect to each other so well and put a different take on the whole story, carrying you along in web of horror, mystery and violence. These short stories are very much worth the read for any horror / suspense / PNR fans.
From the moment Jesse Miller entered the Starke house, he knew his life would never the same. Witnessing events that have made him question the world around him, he's done his best to move forward. Thirteen years after the event that claimed several lives, he's now found himself in New York. He looks forward to what life has to bring, never once imagining that danger still lurks around the corner. If he's to survive and endure the chaos that now surrounds him, he'll have to accept a truth he never thought possible. A truth that may or may not break him.
Another lovely addition to the Demon series, Possession catapults us further in the story surrounding the history of the Starke house. Most of us are aware of the supernatural world. A good many see, hear, and even speak to ghosts. E. H. has captured that element of the paranormal in such a way that it makes the reader want to delve further into the world she's created. She's given us characters who are broken, yet determined in moving forward in order to make sense of the adversities they encounter on a daily basis.
With every book within this series, we learn more about Edward Starke's drive. We see his intentions laid out for us in the hopes of our understanding why he's done what he's done. This is a character who cares nothing about the world around him. He seeks destruction and does everything to achieve his every goal. The silver lining, however, is that there are those who will do everything possible to make sure he doesn't succeed. For if he is does, chaos will always reign supreme.
