Terminal Malfunction: The Fall of MSNBC, Vol. 1- Iraq to Syria

Rate this book
MSNBC was once the flagship outlet for Liberal and Progressive thinking and action. Not anymore. This book/series tells the story of that fall.

At no other time in history has the American public been able to access so much news, from such a wide variety of sources, 24-hours a day, and all, at the touch of our fingertips. Notionally, this should produce a politically well-informed, well-educated and self-governing populace. However, research indicates that Americans really aren’t more politically knowledgeable; nor are we more politically engaged. Instead, we have become increasingly hyper-partisan and resistant to factual information .1 While we have access to near limitless information, rather than seeking out a broad range of data, we simply tend to look for information that confirms our own preconceptions.
