Another Winner

Skye and Josh are back and tracking another killer. This was a medium paced book until the end. It’s great to see the characters and the story evolving with each book as the killers become more malevolent. This time it’s a family annihilator, who has been going cross country wiping out entire families for years. Can the team catch up to him before it’s too late.

Smith the CCK vs TeamArtemis! 4***** Spoiler Alert!

Being dragged into this cold case by Harry Drummond, and abandoned by Emmett FBI, TeamArtemis found the Monopoly icon clues from the pictures and were able to track Smith via his FitBit up in the Montana mountains. They interrupted his killing of the Lindquist family and with Kiya as their protector and guide, they defeated and killed the sociopath. But not before Skye was shot accidentally by Brayden, Smith's captive. Skye survived, to help out Brayden get his footing back into the world, and they are staying on the island.

Great plot and characters. Skye's connection to Kiya along with her ancestors drums and prayers guarded and prevented her from crossing over to join them. The fact that Smith was trained with our tax dollars, and proceeded to use his knowledge to kill families, all Americans, without out any restraints from above agencies was mind boggling. Neither one wanted to stop him as they would be shown to be accomplices to his foreign and domestic murders. I was surprised that as smart as Smith boasted to be, he did not think his FitBit could be used to track him, so he was not smart. His hubris, was his ultimate downfall. Loved how Skye is riddled with guilt when she leaves Sierra, like many modern day Moms. Trusting in each other and keeping the lines of communication open flowed through this novel's theme, from Travis and Lena to Josh and Skye. I hope Brayden will get some psychotherapy so he does not end up like Smith... A Very Good Read!!

I love all the books Vickie McKeehan writes and my two favorite series are the Skye Cree and the Pelican Pointe Series. Each book can be read as a stand alone but I highly recommend you treat your self and start at the beginning. I am behind on this series so I am thrilled I have book 6 and 7 to grab. Skye Cree is a Native American who has always battled evil with her wolf the help of spirits, recently with the help of her husband Josh. They now have a child Sierra and try to assist behind the scenes. Not to be. Every book Vickie McKeehan writes brings the characters into your life. They become your friends, you are enveloped in their warmth, cringing when they confront evil, feeling their fears and struggles, they are so real All the secondary characters are well done and are a vital part of each book. Sometimes I could feel the evil permeate off the pages and it was gut wrenching. Then the sun would shine and the world would show her beauty, giving me time to catch my breath. I cannot do justice to this series. I highly recommend you start with book 1 and evolve your self in Skye Cree, a Native American who brings you into her life and share snippets of their lifestyle and history. 5+++++

Another well written chilling tale!

This author never fails at writing a realistic and, in this case, chilling story! Her books bring realism to this reader in many ways. The action and the dialogue create images that seem as if I'm right there! Her very well written stories go even further by incorporating items and experiences from a modern world, including today's gadgets and tools!

In my book, Vickie McKeehan excels at bringing rich entertainment in her books! An exceptional story teller!

This was the best of the Skye Cree series, I think. Glad she didn't die because I want more! What was the deal with the Monopoly pieces?? Did I miss something, or was that never answered?

Also hope there will be more of the Pelican Pointe series...that series was very satisfying as well.

Moving on now to the Indigo Brothers series--hope they're as good as these 2 series have been.

Premonition, truth or just a warning.

Skye and Josh are asked to help with an FBI cold case, being promised full FBI backup. Learning they have been lied to by their friend in the FBI, they are too fully invested in the case to give up. With the help of family, friends, and the newly formed Drummond Investigators they set out to find and capture a truly heinous serial killer.

I really loved this book. Skye and Josh are now parents and I enjoyed seeing how they managed parenthood along with their mission to save missing children.

There are several references to the Native American culture which I found fascinating and I felt they enhanced the story.

Once again a great story and one I thoroughly enjoyed.

Great book!

I love this series! With each book another sick, twisted evil is stopped. Skye & Josh hunt down the bad people with some help from their spirit guide Kiya.
They have a foundation dedicated to helping others, and a team of people who have become family to them. I’m looking forward to the next book!

And yet, they keep getting better

I wasn't sure how the mix would be with a child, but it's even more intense! Having a child changes everything, but not the need to stop a serial killer of families. Great read

This 5th book in the Skye Cree Series certainly lived up the first 4 books in every way.

I don't how I missed this when it was first released, but probably a good thing since I couldn't put it down once I started it.

Love all the characters in the books and the way they work with each other, and I especially loved the addition of a child.

Cannot wait for book 6

The Skye Crea series is a good detective type of story. Maybe the same type of criminals but each is a little different and I like seeing the characters progress and grow throughout the books.

The unfailing Wolf Spirit

The unsub in this story is ruthless and their actions are hard to predict but Skye and Jason are determined to stop them. This installment in Skye's adventure was more emotional for me as a reader experiencing the twists and turns the characters undergo in bringing down the killer.

I love her books, have not been disappointed with any of her series. The main problem is wanting more. I hope there is more in store for Josh, Cree and Sierra in the future. I started reading her books with the evil series and ran through those real quick. Will need to check out her other series and wait patiently for another book in this series. Fingers crossed.
