To appreciate the light, you must first live in darkness…
Hades has been alone for so long that seeing Grimm’s newest acquisition for him has him making several mistakes with Zerina.
The beautiful daughter of Fate should have never been let inside his domain. He should have thrown her out the first time she lifted her lovely gaze to his. He didn’t.
That was my first mistake. The second was when I touched her. As the king of the Underworld, I have that right, don’t I? Not according to her. That was my third mistake. I should have never let her speak.
The mistakes just keep coming, one after the other, until I make the biggest mistake of all. I fall in love.

Another male whore lead, so tiring..............................
This third book was worse than the second book, in my opinion and I couldn't believe it. I did not like Hades, did not know why Zerina fell in love with him.
"Can" this author write a book without all of the whoring around or "almost" whoring around????????????
Another issue that I had with this book, This author killed off a main character for no reason accept to be cruel and for the "shock and awe" reaction.
And, to make matters worse, the character that was killed... was pregnant. WTF? In case you were wondering, W.T.F = What. The. Funk..
**I'm starting to get the feeling that this Author does not like women or "if" the author is really a female, doesn't like herself for some reason. ~ Think about it.. almost EVERY female character, in almost EVERY book is either Degraded, Disrespected, and / or Cheated On. You can not like women or yourself if this is your standard / normal writing style, I don't believe it.**
Most if not all of the female leads in this Author's Series, have NO back bone or self respect. And, The one female who will not stand for any crap, is the one that the author has killed off needlessly. Again, WTF / What. The. Funk ?
What a Shame, the author "can" write really well but I've had enough of the Foolishness.
*Note: This review is my interpretation of the book/series and this review is my opinion.*

Jamie Begley is a fabulous storyteller. She can show you one thing, yet there is always more to the story than what she has led on. I love, love, love that about her writing. And this is another one of those stories.
This book continues the story of Fate’s daughters, Cara, Broni, and Zerina, who were chased through the Halls of Death, and then found themselves out of the heavenly plane and on the earthly one. The first two books were Cara and Broni’s stories, so now this one is Zerina’s. We already found out where she was and who she was with in Broni’s story, an ending that gripped me, making me want to pull my hair out in suspense of wanting more.
So, we know Zerina is in Hades, with Hades. The synopsis tells you that. What you don’t know is a whole lot of nothing else. Even as you read the book, “You know nothing, Jon Snow!” because Jamie has that way of twisting the story, not giving anything away until the end. Reading this, remember, in Jamie's books, there is a reason for everything, and everything someone says or does isn’t for the reason you think.
Fate played a bigger role in Cara and Broni’s books, but she took a backseat in this one. Destiny stepped up to the plate, so we see a lot of her story and her game of keep-away with Rocque, an earth spirit who is basically a werewolf.
When the ending neared, I was blown away. So much happened, so much sadness. It was intense. I choked up. I didn’t cry, but I wanted to. Readers know how embarrassing it is to cry over a book in public. I did not want to cry in my kid’s school parking lot. Inside, I was, though. ☹
Last thoughts: I don’t know how some authors do it. I have literally compared books, side by side, paragraph to paragraph, needing to see how one person can turn a scene into something gripping and erotic while I just skip over most books’ sex scenes. Jamie is one of those authors who grips me. No skipping one word in her stories.
I know many of Jamie Begley The Last Riders fans, and I know many of them have never read this series. I’m telling you guys; if you love the MCs, you’ll love these books, too (second book has an MC in it!)
This is another I just could not get into. 5 stars because every book she wrote I read at least 5 times. This was not my kind of book. But I know readers loved it
I can honestly say I didn't want this book to end. I'm taking off a star because I feel it was a tad unfinished when it came to some of the characters. Here we got the conclusion of the gods battle that had caused the apocalypse. We meet Zerina the h, the oldest daughter of Fate. Zerina's job in the immortal realm was putting souls into unborn life. And Hades the H who needs no introduction. It'd honestly be hard to go into everything that happened because it's a lot. These books can not be read as standalones. There are other side characters stories going on as well and three beloved characters are killed during the battle. Destiny who was Fate's sister and mate to Rocque. And humans Abby and Adam. These two being very important as Mother brings their souls back and puts them into a Native American couple. This couple is the ancestors to The Colemans and The Porters. When they're released back to earth they're given gifts from all the gods and goddesses which is why The Colemans and The Porters carry their gifts. Though the Coleman's have the strongest gifts. It's all very hard to explain if you haven't read JB's series. This book seems to have been released between the LR's series along with The Porters. But don't quote me on that. Overall I recommend if you've read and liked JB's books.

Whilst its about God, goddeses and all the legends of old we finally find out what the connection is to the Colemans and the Porters!!
And damn!!!! I get it now!
This is a must read series if you love these characters.
Absolutely loved this book so much, the characters were amazing, the storyline was just so good and when you realise how it links to our fav boysomg it take on even more meaning.
Jamie Begley writes a great ending to The Dark Souls Series. With characters like the Moirae (Fate's daughters, these 3 sisters Zerina, Broni and Cara, the guides of our lives from birth, through life and into the afterlife) Fate, Destiny, Mother Nature, Chronos, Merlin, Odin and Thor, Hades, Zeus, Rocque a werewolf who is chasing after Destiny, Saint Valentine (the Moirae's father), Grimm as in the Grimm Reaper, what a great cast for a story. Hades is the King of the Underworld and son of Mother Nature and Chronos, he's been alone for a long time, sure he has lovers but no one really keeps his interest long after he ended his marriage to Persephone, because she was unfaithful to him while she was with her mother in the God realm for six month out of the year, she came back to the him and the Underwood pregnant with a child by his brother Zeus twice. Marriage is sacred even to immortals. Zerina, Fate's first daughter her job is to deliver souls at the birth of a child into their new bodies. While with her sisters, Cara and Broni, they are attacked after delivering a soul to the hallway of death. The sisters are separated, all three fell into portals to the human realm losing their powers and immorality. Zerina found herself at a hospital were she ran into Grimm, he was upset because he was sent to get a soul to take back to the underworld, but Cara, Zerina's sister took the soul instead, so Grimm was stuck in the human realm until he found a soul to transport to the Underworld. He was happy he ran into Zerina, he would take her soul back after he killed her. So Grimm brought her to Hades in the underworld, to get even with Cara and to get back home. Hades and Zerina's time together in Hades is rocky at the best of times, he's trying to protect her and she's trying to escape. Will love conquer all four Zerina and Hades or for Destiny and Rocque, or for Fate and Odin? Who's trying to get to Zerina at all costs? Find out in this final book in The Dark Souls Series.
THIS WAS SO SO GOOD! LIKE LITERALLY HURT SO GOOD. Better than the previous stories, and a great one to end the series! I was totally hooked onto the bad guy vibes from Hades and the good girl virgin from Zerina. The chemistry was great, and I loved the sexual tension and the painful angst was to die for. It always amazes me how the manwhoring male leads never could understand that their feelings for the heroines means they love them.
WARNING : If you don't like manwhoring males, then this is your cue to leave. There's no cheating, but then again, it doesn't mean the male lead's a good guy. If you're expecting that, then you'll totally hate Hadea. Otherwise, please step into Begley's tempting world of lust and sexy-angst time!
You'd think Hades would go well with Persephone, but I actually cackled when the author made Persephone out to be the cheater and is currently divorced from Hades. It's refreshing!
Everyone believes HADES to be the bad guy, but he's actually helping ZERINA by hiding her in his little underworld. The chemistry between them was expected and it was superb! Bad boy meets good girls and the I like you, and I hate you moments made this a page turner. I can't really go into detail because you have to read the entire series to understand the whole war between the upper Gods. HADES himself doesn't know love or how to treat women any other way. He believes Zerina will just be another conquest but she's raised to know her own worth, and she has the biggest heart of all. Her innocence may just overwhelm the big bad Hades, and I enjoyed when he was put in his place and was so puzzled by his own hurt and confusion when Zerina gave him the cold shoulder treatment.
OVERALL if you enjoy alpha-hole heroes and a good dose of nasty angst, then you don't want to miss this. It was absolutely riveting, and you'll be happy to know the other characters will also be sticking around. The ending actually made me feel kind of nostalgic and sad but that's probably because I devoured the series in one day and I felt like I was part of their family too.
I loved fed this very intriguing story. Who would have thought Hades could be a romantic Alpha. It worked. I could not put this down as I discovered this in my buried list of unread books. I missed out of not reading this one earlier. Such a good story, mythical but still intriguingly hot and so very good.
This series is so beautifully written and the characters are so great that it feels like it could have been real in our history! These books are a must read! If you aren't a fan of Jaime Begley before then you definitely will be after reading this series!!!
It was a good book, but it seemed unfinished. I wanted to know what happened to the other gods. I was soooo upset and sad when Destiny died. I wanted her to have a happing ending. The love between Hades and Zerina’s love were beautiful. Finding out they can have children was just the icing on the cake.

Absolutely loved Soul of a Demon. Hades is the male lead. The oldest daughter of Fate and Valentine's Zerina is female lead. Together they are explosive. Zerina is not timid or shy. She speaks her mind and puts Hades in his place. I loved the secondary characters. This series must be read in order. Happy Reading 📚
This book did not disappoint as is often the way with a series the best is saved for last, it was not predictable and I loved every word, the characters are superb as is the storyline, one of my favourites definitely.
So good I didn't want it to end! I've truly enjoyed reading this series. Brilliant story and characters Jamie yet again didn't let us down really is a must read and now one of my favorites.
Loved this story where old gods and saints and magic users mix with humans. Hades heart may be frozen but Zerina manages to find a way inside while being held captive in his realm. I highly recommend this book and series.
While reading this book I was so confused but wanting to know what is gonna happen with Hades and Zerina and now after reading the end I realized it's book three in a series so need to go back and start from book one. What I love about this book is that it's not instant love.
Jamie is an amazing author! Waited a long time to find out what happened to the third sister! Happy with the end of the series. Maybe more in the series later down the road!
Jamie Begley is one of my favorite authors. I've read hundreds of authors books, but Jamie's are my very favorite. The Dark Souls series and The Last Riders are a must read. Enjoy
This one was alright and wrapped up the trilogy. The ending was strange and rather disjointed and hints to the gifts given to the Porter and Coleman families in other series. Plenty of errors to correct.
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 I wish I could give more that five star 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟🌟🌟🌟 I love Hades And he is freaking cool , I mean HOT 🔥 🔥 🔥 I want jinx story And Zeus And I want Destiny back somehow 😢
Not usually my type of story but...I actually did enjoy it. I never would have pictured Hades as one to fall in love but even black hearts can feel the light!
A story filled with numerous God's and Goddesses, this takes you into their world's but Hades', Satan, or whatever else you know him by, is dark and believable.
Jamie has written an interesting series this being book 3. Since I am who I am though I will once again complain about poor editing. This one seemed worse for some reason.
While the majority of the book focuses on Hades and Zarina there is the conclusion to the war that is being waged against Mother. We find out how and why the girls were attacked, setting the three stories in motion. Well written and a great ending. I would've more though, there is a lot of God's still single lol.
