Super-cocky superstar Tetsuya Niizaki and Onizuka, the number one educator we want to see make it to homeroom teacher, duke it out in a national mudslinging match?! Tetsuya has no qualms about dragging tons of people into what begins as a (mostly) harmless spat with Onizuka, even if they might get hurt… but Great Teacher Onizuka has no problem dishing out some intense discipline on the swollen-headed singer in return! Don’t miss Onizuka’s outlandish signature style!
Tōru Fujisawa (japanese: 藤沢とおる; also Toru, Tôru Fujisawa or Tooru Fujisawa) began his career as mangaka in 1989 with Adesugata Junjou Boy serialized in the Weekly Shonen Magazine.
I enjoyed this volume much more than the first one. Here we're actually told Nizaki's story and it is wild. From here on the content becomes more explicit, and loses that family friendly charm the original GTO had. But Onizuka is still portayed as a bad ass, and boy does he have a lesson to teach in this one. I also really liked the new character Sadako, and Officer Sajima returns to play a supporting role. One last thing I noticed is that Paradise Lost moves much faster than the original GTO due to there being less dialogue and more action sequences. I finished this whole volume in less than an hour and I am a slow reader. Over all I really enjoyed this volume and hope you do too.
I actually read this in English, but I could only find this edition on here for some reason. GTO Paradise lost is a solid sequel to Fujisawa's previous GTO comics. It starts a bit slow, but goes into new territory pretty fast. Love it!
