Caleb & Abby are back in the second installment of the Vampires of Hollywood Series. As Abby learns what it means to be a new vampire, she feels overwhelmed & insecure at times. Caleb does his best to reassure Abby she is his 'forever' mate but Abby questions his secrets & loyalty to an old flame. Caleb is all in & will work to keep Abby by his side but when he sees Abby kiss another man, the monster side of him comes out. Caleb & Abby have to work to repair the trust that has fallen apart between them. Will they be able to come back together & forgive one another?

I have enjoyed this series so far. It is a very sexually explosive vampire romance between the main characters. Madisyn Ashmore is able to deliver both a good paranormal story & an erotic tale all wrapped together. This book is meant for mature readers only!

Omg I don't

Omg I don't want to wait for the next book, this is a nightmare. I have loved these first two books, plus this last one ended with a teaser, crap. I need the next book like...NOW. This series is crazy good, with a lot of different elements going on. It's written very well, I love the characters, I love the issues that keep popping up, it's the bomb (in a good way). If you're into paranormal romance/vampires, you need to read these books. There not all out yet, so you might want to wait in till they are. I wish I knew before I started reading the books, I like to be able to go from book to book till the end. Anyways excellent first two books.

*I received a free ARC of Venom, and bought Viper to read first. The decision to review and my opinions are my own.*

These books are touted on Amazon as ‘Twilight meets 50 Shades of Grey’, and I feel that is an accurate description, as I was definitely reminded of both those series while I was reading.

That is not to say that Madisyn Monroe doesn’t have something new. Her world where vampires can have highpowered jobs in the public gaze, exclusive nightclubs and hotels, and yet still remain secret from the general populace due to their wealth and influence, is an interesting blend of the Cullen/Grey dynamic and one that works in her context.

Abby is a more dynamic main character than either Ana or Bella, arguing back and standing up for herself against Caleb’s dominant Alpha male shenanigans. However this does mainly follow trope as, despite her protests, she still tends to give in to Caleb’s will eventually due to his smouldering sex-god powers.

The sex is steamy and straightforward, which made up somewhat for my main quibble which is that the main characters seem unnecessarily insecure about themselves, their looks, their positions and most of all, their burgeoning relationship. There is a small amount of genuine external plot conflict in terms of other supernatural beings, exes popping up and so on, but a large proportion of the tension is jealousy or irrational insecurity from one of the two leads, leading to unreasonable, childish behaviour and communication failures.

However, generally the books are a fun, easy read, and do what they are supposed to for their target audience, so if you are a fan of Twilight-for-grownups, or 50 Shades of Vampires, then these books should be right up your street. Do not buy if you are offended by words like ‘cock’ and ‘fuck’ however. The language is very direct and the sexual content is, naturally, explicit.

After reading the first book in this series I really didn't think it could get any better or more exciting but I was so so wrong...this book is absolutely amazing and having just finished it I can't believe the ending!!!! I need to know what happens next!!!! I am addicted to The Vampires if Hollywood!!!!

The storyline in this book is so thrilling, it gets your heart pounding which makes you unable to stop reading this books, you find yourself unable to do anything but keep turning the pages of this book!!! I could rave about this all day long but really don't want to give anything any to readers who are about to read this. But expect insatiable last and deep love as well as danger, and fear, a very exhilarating combination!!!!

I loved Abby even more in this book than the first!!! I love how she has come out of her she'll and Definitely stands upto a dominant alpha male, she makes her opinions known and isn't afraid to stand her ground. You really see into who Caleb is in this book, you see more of his tender and loving side and on the flip side you see his dominant and aggressive vampire side, both of these are equally alluring!!!

I really can't wait to see what happens next and I am dying for the next book to come out!!! This is another book that readers must read and it will hook you into the universe of this book and you won't want to leave!!!!

I was given an ARC in exchange for my honest review. I really enjoyed this, but I found I had that same problem that bothered me in the first book. This time, I made a note of one instance that particularly bugged me. In Chapter 23, Caleb was carrying Abby and she said, “...and with each step I took….” I read it over and over, trying to determine whether I somehow missed something, but it wasn't me. I can't help but think that an editor (or maybe a better editor) would have caught these kinds of mistakes. From a proofreading standpoint, there were few errors, so that was a relief.

This book was almost non stop sex, which sometimes made me impatient for forward progress in the plot. Towards the end of the book, things were so slow-moving and tense that I wanted to read ahead to find out what terrible thing was about to happen. It was not what I expected. In fact, the book ends with a bit of a cliffhanger, but I was so relieved when I didn't read the ending I was anticipating, I almost thought, “Oh thank God, it's only ______!” I'm not sure that was the desired response, but I recommend the book, and bottom line, that's what really matters.

** I received an ARC copy of this book in exchange for a review **

The chance to read an Arc for this book really couldn't have come at a better time, as I was just about to finish with Viper (book #1). I found myself quite enjoying book one, enough for me to want ot read more and Venom certainly didn't disappoint.

It was interesting to see how Abby developed as a character in this book after being changed by Caleb, as well as the way it affected her relationship with both Caleb and Natalie. I liked that we got to find out a bit more about Caleb's past and get more of an understanding about his relationship with Reina. It was interesting to see how Abby and Caleb dealt with their trust issues over each other's past and the way that it affects their choices.

This books is a really gripping, page turner of a quick read. It's lightweight, and is perfect for anyone that has an afternoon to kill, and likes to read vampire romances with plenty of sex thrown in.

I would definitely read more of this series. But with an ending like that how could I not?!

The story is captivating as the couple struggle to work out their relationship. Caleb does come across as kind of possessive but not in a crazy way just protective. I haven't read Book 1 and although this pretty much stands alone, their story is intriguing so since they are already an established relationship now I probably would have a better understanding of their history if I had read the first book. Author totally jaw-dropping shocked me with the ending, definitely hooks me for the next book in this series. Caleb is sexy and subdued for a vampire and Abby is no where on his level (maturity nor vampire) but he loves her and is patient, understanding and very very forgiving, yes I am a tad bit upset with her, lol. This one has an ebb and flow to it, not really a cliffhanger but the ending is just the beginning. :)

Abby March fell for ripped and protective Caleb Crane when he seduce her on his Hollywood Estate. It seems Caleb fell for Abby just as hard but he discovers a secret that could completely destroy their romance. Can he fight for her or will he turn away and let everything fall to dust?

It helps if you have read the first book in this series but it is not completely essential. This second book was slow to start but soon developed into something more fast paced and dramatic. There were times when I wish I could give Abby a slap and tell her to pull herself together, and I felt that detracted slightly from the story. Apart from that it was hot and intense in places. Overall it was enjoyable, was well written and clear and easy t understand. This book ends in a cliffhanger so don't be surprised.

Wow...This is the 2nd book in the series and it gets better! Abby is really having trouble trusting Caleb. But is it real or her mind playing tricks? She is still having nightmares about the werewolves that tried to kill her and she doesn't know if it's real or not..plus her BFF Natalie isn't helping. Something from her past comes back to haunt her. Is Caleb cheating with Reina ? What's real and what's in her mind? Caleb loves her but Nat keeps telling her you can't trust a vampire..but Nat doesn't know that Caleb had to turn Abby when the Wolf almost killed her. Nothing in Hollywood is as it seems..what's going to happen to Abby and Caleb? This story just gets better. Characters are good...all in all this series is good!

I was pretty far in the book when I thought about the title. Shortly after that it all became clear.
So if you want to know why it's called Venom? Don't worry, just read on!
This is one extremely intense relationship Caleb and Abby have!

It's like being in a fastflowing river on a raft or something, very exilarating and a little overwhelming sometimes too.
But you don't think about where you're going, just enjoy the ride.
Until suddenly you have to get out, because the ride finished.

So the ending of this book left me a little raw, if you can imagine...

I received a free copy and this is my honest review.

"Twilight meets Fifty Shades of Grey."

I mean, c'mon, how could I resist that? If you're with me on that statement then I can pretty much guarantee you'll love this book. Even if you're not quite willing to go that far I strongly suspect you'd enjoy Venom, the second Vampires of Hollywood book. Madisyn Monroe is a heck of a strong writer and she has put her talents on display here. This is a wonderfully written book with a strong plot and excellent lead and supporting characters. The not much to dislike here and plenty to live.

Highly recommended.

This is the second book of the series. I had not read the first. It was a little confusing with some of the past history from the first book but so much it interfered with this story. Caleb is 100% alpha and very controlling of Abby. It was a bit much for my tastes but overall the story was good and hot. Sex scenes were frequent and varied. Story revolves around their relationship for most of the book. Interested in Drew's character and seeing where that goes. I received a free ebook in exchange for an honest review.

Life Bite

Normally I enjoy vampire books but this one I don't know maybe because the female lead Abby made me want to smack her a lot. The action of this character kind of ruin the book for me.

The story line was interesting enough. I will not write the series of but give it a chance on the next book.

This was a great continuation of Book 1, though you can still pick up the story pretty easily even if you haven't read the first book, Viper. Caleb and Abby's relationship continues, with Abby learning to adjust to their being together. There were some good twists and turns, and this was a hot and spicy romance. Great PNR to sink your teeth into (pun intended)! I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

This is book 2 of The Vampires Of Hollywood Series. You really must read the first book or you will be lost. Abby is trying to adjust to life as a vampire. Caleb is adamant that he wants to spend eternity with Abby. But they both have secrets that may destroy them. This book is so hot it sizzles! It is packed full of steamy, hot scenes. This is a must read for anyone that enjoys paranormal romance.

I didn't read the first book, so it took a little bit to get into this story. Caleb & Abby seem to have an unhealthy relationship with exceptional sex. I found Caleb to be aggravating, secretive, and very alpha. Abby was a bit annoying the way she turns a blind eye to everything. Overall it was a pretty good read. Now I need to find out what happened to Natalie!

The second book in the series, and Caleb-Abby story continued. It was an intense ride, fast and hot, and left me wanting the next book really soon.

If you thought the first book was good, this one was better. My only complain, so much was going on in this book that it’s kinda hard to follow sometimes, especially for someone like me who only had snatches of times to read here and there.

3.5 Stars. This book is like an erotic version of Twilight. We continue Abby and Caleb's story where we left off in Viper. Caleb has become possessive and Abby is under his spell. I actually didn't like this book as much as I like the first in series. I thought it was too Twilightish. I freely reviewed this ARC.

Venom ARC (Vampires of Hollywood #2) by Madisyn Monroe: **** Pretty good!
This storyline is interesting and entertaining, although not original. While the s3x overwhelms the storyline a bit, it was an overall pretty good read. It does end on a cliffhanger, with a lot of unanswered questions. I'm looking forward to reading the next book! Disclosure: I am voluntarily reviewing an ARC of this book.

There is a threat on Abby life from a wolf pack and will Abby get used to being a vampire with Caleb, you'll have to buy and find out. I received this book as an arc for a honest review.

This was a pretty good read I just think there was way too many sex scenes which detracted from the story, there were also times I really wanted to shake Abby by the shoulders. In saying that I did still like the book and look forward to the next one to see what happens next!

I have not read the first book in this series, but I had no problem following the story in this one. I liked the vampires Caleb and Abby and their strange relationship. The book has a lot of hot sex in it, too! I can't wait to see where the relationship goes in the future. It also ends on a bit of cliff-hanger so if you don't like these you might want to keep that in mind.

There is so much going on in this one, and the intensity between the characters is off the charts. We get a little more backstory from both POV. We get possible problems with the turning, blasts from the past and a slight cliff-hanger ending.

I received an ARC of this story and have voluntarily chosen to review it here.

Book two of the series and things are heating up. The passion between the two is beyond hot. Now if they can both get over jealousies and their pasts. But by the end things will change and more problems will appear.

I hot and heavy vampire romance. Mature readers only as things can be extreme between these two.

Abby and Caleb book two. Abby's insecurity starts to get grating pretty quickly. And her hanging onto the relationship with her "best friend" is that is not a good friendship by any stretch of the imagination gets old fast. These are what caused me to not give it 5 stars. Caleb definitely causes issues without meaning to and Abby causes a lot of drama without much thought for consequences.
