This pretty young lady is the Witch of Caernarfon? Well that makes my job much more enjoyable. Who would have known that a witch of 150 plus years was this fucking sexy. What I would do to take her right now. But that's not the plan. I need to get her to trust me. My family needs her to trust me. This powerful little witch is going to be the one to turn the tides of our battle against the white dragons. All of our lives depend on me seducing her... No pressure.

Reading wasn't always Emilia's passion, but over the years she developed an irreplaceable love for books. She writes about large, protective alpha males and their strong, sexy female mates. If you enjoy steamy shifters and fated mates, then you'll LOVE Emilia's books!
Not as awesome as expected, but still enjoyable for the most part.
First of all, I have to tell you that I'm not a fan of witch/wizard characters in general. I usually try to steer clear of any books with main characters who are witches or wizards. So, when I received this ARC from the author and knew that the heroine was a witch, I was quite hesitant to pick it up. But finally, I decided to give it a go since I’ve yet to be disappointed with anything she writes. It took me a while to get into the story, but once Cameron and Gwen had met each other for the first time, things got more interesting from that point onwards, so much so that I was totally engrossed in the book and completely lost track of time.
I enjoyed the story just fine until Gwen made an impulsive and stupid move in the last 20% of the book. She failed me big time! As I always say that I hate it when the smart character suddenly acts out of her character as if she accidentally lost her brain cells somewhere so she can’t think straight and then does a stupid thing, just to make the plot move in the direction that the author wants, and what I hate just happened here in this book! I still don’t want to believe Gwen would do such thing. What??? Oh please, I don’t buy that! It was very unconvincing in my opinion. Moreover, the ending felt a bit abrupt and it was more bitter than sweet.
The romance was ok but there was nothing particularly meaningful about it that could melt my heart. I didn’t feel the chemistry between Cameron and Gwen, but somehow, I think they looked lovely together.
Nevertheless, this was a nice read overall. I enjoyed the story for the most part although it isn’t my favorite by this author. If you’re a fan of dragon-shifters romances, then pick up this series. It may be right up your alley.
**ARC generously provided by the author and I voluntarily read it for my honest opinion.
First off this is the 3rd book in this series and I highly suggest you read the first two books prior to this one, though it can be read as a stand alone it is better together.
Cameron the dragon shifter has been tasked by his clan leader to seduce the witch of Caernarfon and convince her to join forces with them, thus allowing them to finally turn the tide against the white dragons. He doesn't like the thought of deceiving the witch but after meeting her fate has plans of her own as he discovers his mate to be a 150 year old witch who's sexy as sin. Who knew witches and dragons could even be mates? But when betrayal and hurt feelings arise can Cameron convince his witch they are really meant to be?
Betrayal, Hot sex, love, fated mates, dragons and witches what's not to love. HEA Imcluded
I am just falling more and more in love with these dragons. I just cant handle it. So a lot happens in this book....A LOT. We are finding out more about these white dragons. I am still trying to figure out who everyone is...I'm getting there but sometimes I have to stop and truly think about who they are talking about...lol. Anyway...these two were cute. I love how when Gwen found shit out...she let herself get pissed and then got over it and moved on. I like that in a Heroine.
Gwen sat at the kitchen table, reading the cards. She flipped the last card over, then ran to the bathroom to be sick. Her time there was over.
Drystan, the dragon leader, had an assignment for Cameron. He needed to find the Witch of Caernarfon so they could join their forces, become stronger, and be victorious if they had to fight with the white dragons. She had been in hiding for many years. Not only was he to find her, but Drystan wanted him to win her heart as well! This could likely be a death sentence! He didn’t like being deceitful. And he didn’t want to give up his chance of finding real love by pursuing this fake attraction.
Cameron was able to track the witch to a small bookstore and was startled to see how lovely she actually was! He asked her to read his cards – but when they presented the same reading as her own the previous night, she jumped up and slipped out the door to get away from him. He followed her and was confused at how protective his normally calm dragon was toward her! He began to suspect she might actually be his mate!
The two of them spent the evening together. He gathered what little food she had available and made them a snack. Her fear started to fade and she was happy with him… until she saw a text message on his unattended phone asking him to complete the mission and bring the witch to them. The betrayal was too much for her to bear. Is this the end for them? Can he convince her they are truly mates and he was not faking? Or will she leave him? Has he failed in his mission to save his family? Has he lost his mate forever?
This was a wonderful story that held the reader’s interest. The characters, already familiar from the previous books, were well developed so the reader cared about what happened to each of them. The plot covers a gamut of emotions, anger, love, and sensitivity. The theme of love, family, and relationships brought it all together for the reader. I would definitely recommend reading this one. (And who doesn’t adore dragons!!!!)
Anytime you start a relationship with subterfuge there is bound to be trouble…and with a witch no less!
Cameron has to take one for the team when Drystan send him to seduce Gwen, the Witch of Caernarfon. Considering that Gwen is a least a century older than Cameron, he’s not overly excited about having to hit up on an older woman. Of course Cameron is pleasantly surprised. Here we go… Cameron approaches Gwen under the guise that he would like to have his cards read. Gwen is a bit standoffish at first but of course she agrees to read Cameron’s cards and finds that they are exactly the same as the cards she read for herself just the day before. Sure that the cards mean her inevitable death, she has no clue what they mean for Cameron…and her. She's been reading cards for centuries...Really?
Gwen has had a dragon lover who treated her badly and has vowed to stay away from dragons. Yeah right…Cameron wrangles a date with the witch so he can put the moves on her, or so he thinks, only to find that she has snuck away from him and back to her apartment to pack and flee the city. Sure she was going to leave before she met him, but now it’s urgent she leave. Ya think?
Gwen and Cameron eventually spend a night together that leads to week before a text from Drystan to Cameron, which Gwen intercepts, ruins the mood. Gwen is furious and kicks Cameron out in his underwear! After a cooler head prevails, Gwen decides yes, she will use her power to help the red dragons in their fight against the white dragons and will travel back to Snowdonia with him. Gwen uses her powers to defeat a couple of white dragons alongside the red dragons but not before she has to face off with her old dragon lover and set things to right. Revenge is best served...
Good story. The romance is still pretty dry and the editing is still horrid. On my Were Scale of Hotness, 3 stars.
Now we all know that there are no such things as dragons in the world but by golly when you read Emilia Hartley's series you will KNOW that the dragons exist, in various colours and personalities. Of course witches are another thing entirely we are not quite sure if they are around but in hiding and it has been proved by Emilia they are still there and they are in hiding but will come out when needed and for the love of their mate to help fight against evil. Another amazing paranormal romance to add to the series and they just keep getting better and better. Strongly recommended for all who love the supernatural and a well written romance with lots of action. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader copy of this book.
Desperate to save his clan, Cameron does as asked and set off to find the Witch of Caernarfon. Gwen has a healthy hatred and fear of dragons due to her past. Neither expected the instant attraction. Will Gwen agree to help? Will Cameron be able to rescue her before it is to late?
Good quick shifter read. In book 3, I have to admit I was expecting for Cameron to get hurt by the witch when she discovered the truth, but I loved Gwen's determination to do right regardless of what it cost her. I do think that Cameron once he messed up started to do right when he admitted openly what she was to him. Definitely recommend this series to anyone who is looking for dragon shifters.

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book for my honest opinions. Emilia has done it again there is nothing better than dragons and witches. Has you believing in an alternative world, with strong characters, deadly adversaries and cunningly laid plots that leave the readers looking for more. Will Cameron and Gwen get what they want, will the Red dragons defeat the White dragons? Readers buy the book to find out. I can honestly say I recommend this book. Awesome.
*voluntarily and honestly reviewed the ARC I received from the author*
I enjoyed this series and the dragon world Hartley brought to life. Hope there's more where this came from, as we've only gotten the surface of what could be a really cool world to indulge in. I liked Gwen and Cam (ugh you're such a sweetheart) and it was a nice fast-paced read that didn't leave anything wanting.
Great supernatural love story and a wonderful addition to the series. Very well written and developed storyline. It's full of action and suspense. Cameron and Gwen are wonderful characters with lots of chemistry and are perfect together. Looking forward to more from this author. I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy of this book
Love this dragon series and can't wait to read the next book. This one continues the fight between the red and white dragons. But a witch has been pulled into the fight. Her past may end the war or end her. Love the red dragon male in this one. His love and devotion are wonderful. I can't get enough of dragons, magic and a few hot scenes.
I voluntarily read and reviewed a copy of the book.
I enjoyed reading this book 📚, it has a great storyline. I can't wait for more from this author. I received this book as a FREE ARC copy to read and I voluntarily leave this review.
My 5 star is for the completed trilogy. I loved how easy to read this story was and how nicely it wrapped up the built up underlying drama. I would love to read a book 4 if there were one.
Great addition to a great series... This book continues the woundful series about the red dragons of Snowdonia... They are getting ready for war... And they need all the help they can get... Even a witch..
This is a great continuation of the series, to try and save their home the red dragons seek the help of a powerful witch. This is a sweet and enjoyable read and I am loving this series. If you enjoy a story with love, intrigue and a good battle or two, I am sure you will enjoy this book.
I received a copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review.
An adventure that will have you turning the page to find out what will happen next.
Seduction that was what it was suppose to be. A mission of seduction, given to Cameron by the red dragon king. Only what do you do when the woman your suppose to seduce is a witch and a powerful one at that. But also his fated mate, but she has been hurt in a way by dragons before. And is distrustful of all dragons. Can he convince her to help the red dragons against the white dragon? And hopefully turn the war over in their favor. Or will he fail in convincing her and lose his fated mate?
This book takes up where the last book left us. The red dragons have gone into hiding after being driven from their homes by the machinations of the white dragons.
Cameron is sent on an important mission by his father, Drystan. He must find the Witch of Caernarfon, seduce her, and bring her back to help them defeat the white dragons. Say what? Pretty sure a witch rumored to be that powerful is not going to take a fake seduction lightly.
Gwen has been in hiding for years. She has read her future in the tarot cards and knows it is time to pack up and move on. When a fine looking dragon shows up and asks her to dinner she is tempted, but the past has taught her to not trust dragons and she had learned that lesson.
Cameron is astonished to find that Gwen is not only a beautiful woman, if a bit thin, but also his mate. Now that throws a spanner in the works. The seduction will not be fake, but if he messes it up he could not only lose his home, but his mate. Crap.
Very enjoyable story. I received an ARC of this book from the author. My review is voluntary.
