Kathryn Springer grew up in a small town in Wisconsin, where her parents published a weekly newspaper. As a child, she spent many hours sitting at her mother’s typewriter, plunking out stories, and credits her parents for instilling in her a love of books – which eventually turned into a desire to tell stories of her own.

After a number of busy years, when she married her college sweetheart and became a stay-at-home mom, Kathryn rediscovered her love for writing. An unexpected snow day from school became the inspiration for a short story, which she submitted to Brio magazine. She went on to publish over a dozen more short stories for Brio, but it wasn’t until her youngest child started school that she decided to pursue her dream to write a book. In August 2004, her Love Inspired® debut novel, Tested by Fire, was published.

Fast forward to today and Kathryn has written over thirty novels. She lives on a lake in northern Wisconsin where she enjoys long walks in the woods and the change of seasons (although sometimes she wishes the "change" between winter and spring didn't last quite so long!) When she isn’t at the computer, you’ll find her spending time with family and friends, paging through cooking magazines or sitting in the sun. A really, really good day includes all three! If you want to know more, follow her blog Table Grace. . .thoughts and musings on living a life with nothing artificial added.

Cade can’t wait until his family vacation home is sold, all it brings is unhappy memories. His sister insists on having her wedding there so he has to wait. The photographer is very interested by the inside of the house even though the wedding is outside. He finds his sister is marrying a missionary and has found the Lord, something that makes his aunt try to stop the wedding.

another quick, easy, lite read in-between heavy thrillers

book "proved" how we all make judgments of people and people types, and not only label them, but go so far as to then put them in a "box". we even box God in, as these characters did, sort of.

we ASSUME based on what we THINK we know, that God and others can and will only do so much, so ... we live life based on those conclusions, and ...

good book to show that doesn't have to be the case, and how to go about changing our minds and habits and ...

I really enjoyed this book. Kathryn Springer is one of my favorite love inspired authors and her next book Family Treasures is my absolute favorite. I was happy with this book. I didn't like it as much as Family Treasures but I really enjoy reading about the McBride family.

I love books like this, where people realize how awesome God really is, and how others do the work they were called to do and blessings come from it. Very well done!

An easy read, I solved the mystery early in the book. I LOVED the salvation aspect of it, and how it portrayed grace and forgiveness.

I enjoyed this book, but I didn't like the horrible thing someone did to ruin other people's lives. I also found the history hard to follow. I'm not exactly sure what happened 20 years ago.

I could not finish this book, too silly of a story.

this book was a quick read. I didn't realize it was the second book in a series. even though it was a little predictable, I would read the first and last book.

While I enjoy the series as a whole this one was not my favorite but it was a good read. I didn't buy the H and h with their completely different personalities getting together though. But Kathryn has a way of drawing the readers into her stories.

good story but I think a chapter or two is missing since you`re at a wedding it ends, then the main charaters are not talking and then you find out why later. It just didn't make sense.
