The Philosopher in the Community: Essays in Memory of Bertram Morris

Rate this book
This collection of essays was written in honor of the late Bertram Morris, a philosopher in his own right and professor of philosophy for the greater part of his career at the University of Colorado in Boulder. The contributors are all former students and colleagues of Morris's. Centered around the theme of The Philosopher in the Community, these essays fall under three principal topics: Philosophy and Its History, Philosophy and Ideology, and The Practice of Philosophy. In addition to the thirteen essays that comprise this volume, the editors have included one of Bertram's own unpublished essays, an intellectual autobiography by Bertram, a professional biography, and a bibliography of Bertram's works.
