My host took me to the Heidelberg Mountain Cemetery in July '10 and saw the grave of Hilde Domin, the grand dame of German poetry . . . in exile during the troubles in Germany and began writing when she returned to Germany. Not much is translated into English, but this book has a significant collection. Lovely and thoughtful. I know why my new friend, Bettina, admires Hilde Domin.
