I skipped some books in the series to get to Sophie and Grayson's after meeting them in book 2. I was curious about how they met and considering his career, where they ended up.
I got so much more than I bargained for. This is not your run of the meal BDSM story. It has dept. I showed how embodying this lifestyle impacts your world, and the results of ignorant people making assumptions about how you choose to live.
It was sexy, but emotional.

I am a major fan of Anna Edwards and the Control Series! I have read every book in this series and will continue reading as long as the series continues! Controlling Heritage is Sophie and Grayson's story and if you read the previous books- you know them and about their lifestyle. I was very excited to read this book and Edwards did not let me down! The previous characters from the series are also included, but Sophie and Grayson are the main focus. I enjoyed getting their backstory and finding out how they met and how their relationship ensued. There were quite a few twists and some delicious scenes that Edwards is so great at writing! She also loves those jaw-dropping endings! Can't wait to get more! This series is a must-read!

This book is good, its the story of Sophia and Grayson. Controlling Heritage starts off how the met and end with how they are and what's their lives are. In this story you will read about the up's and down's they go through and about the underhanded work of a reporter. She is relentless in trying to bring down their family at all cost. Sophia and Grayson will have to come together to stop the reporter to save their lives and the lives of their family.

Controlling Heritage (The Control Series Book 5) by Anna Edwards is the fifth book in her The Control series. This story can be read as a stand alone. This is the first book I have read in this series and I know that I will be going back to read the previous four books. One of my favorite things I love about this author is her writing style and her attention to details. I know that when I open one of her books that I am going on a journey that I will not want to put down. I know exactly what I am getting with her books and this one didn't disappoint either. This story is full of hot, steamy romance and BDSM. This story has some suspense that will leave you sitting on the edge of your seat. You will fall in love with these characters as they pop off the page and right into your life. Find out what happens to these characters as they start a journey of romance and things they never expected to find.
Sophie North is a young woman who has had some emotional situations that haunt her in a way. She is the sister of James North who had been beaten because of his BDSM life style. This has left her scarred and now she hides her real self behind her career of personal assistant. What she really wants is for someone to own her. What will happen when she meets him?
Grayson Moore is a Native American movie star that has a slutty reputation. He likes his alcohol, fast cars and women who are just as fast. But is he now looking for something more? When he fires his PA, he hires her. He never expected to fall for her. Will he give up his ways for her?
Sophie and Grayson are so great together. They were attracted to each other from the second they set eyes on each other. I loved that she was speechless when she looked at him. They are both such strong characters that it was hard to pick a favorite character. He is just so controlling, handsome and so giving to her. She just wants to be controlled by him although she can be sassy when she wants to be. The suspense these characters bring to this story is mind blowing and you won't want to miss it. The secondary characters are just as great and really do make the story complete. They are supportive towards Sophie and Grayson. This story is really about being true to yourself and accepting who you are. I found is awesome that Sophie grows so much in this story and just plain learns to accept things for what they are. You will have to read this story to see what I am talking about.
This is my third story by Anna Edwards and I totally am in love with her books and her characters. Her story is engaging and will keep you reading until the last word. I totally lost track of time in this story and couldn't put it down. You will love how it is fast paced. I would have a glass of ice water sitting next to you because you will need it with this couple. I highly recommend this story as I know you will want to see what happen when a movie star and his PA get together!

The Control series has been my favorite series from Anna Edwards. It is the series that introduced me to her awesome books. I will always be grateful for that because she is a talented author with such incredible story telling. Her words have always held so much power and intrigue that I always become addicted to them. Her books always create a place to escape to and fully indulge in. Controlling Heritage is an intense story that I definitely indulged in. It was a captivating romance that gave me the escape I needed. I waited for this story and Anna Edwards definitely delivered a fantastic luring piece of fiction.
Controlling Heritage is the fifth book in the Control secrets and features Grayson Moore and Sophie North when they first met. I freaking loved it because I was always intrigued by Grayson and Sophie's relationship. Anna Edwards definitely nailed this story. Complex. Tempting. Irresistible. Seductive. Sexy. Controlling Heritage was an explosive romance that was just enchanting. I was lured in. I was drawn into the world of control. sex, domination and submission. It was beguiling. It was sensational. It was beautiful. Controlling Heritage was a book with such intense and erotic scenes that were both luscious and sensual. It also held a dark yet emotional twist that was on another level. Whereas the series was mysterious and had suspense, Controlling Heritage was different because it had angst that electrified the story. I was surprised but also loved this added element because it gave something elegant to appreciate.
Grayson and Sophie had a relationship that intrigued me. It had a gorgeous yet something sultry about it. Their domination and submission was just magnetic and so hot that I melted into a big puddle. Grayson was dominant, alpha, possessive and protective. He cared for Sophie so much that I believed their love. Yes Sophie was very submissive but she was loyal and cared for her friends and family.
I cannot wait for the next book in the series. I just know it is going to be explosive.

Comprehensive and addictive world..
OMG this is such a hot, steamy and suspenseful read…the fifth in the Control series this is a wonderfully captivating and erotic story… the author really knows how to create sexy alpha men and beautiful smart women who together have great chemistry…but there is so much more to this book as the author takes the reader into a world where family and tradition is at the heart and where blood ties and loyalties are questioned and tested….
I loved the premise of this original story …Grayson Moore, a native American, is a successful actor who has become jaded by his current lifestyle…….Sophie is his PA……both have been damaged by their past experiences and together they are forced to face their fears and the truths that they hide behind their outward personas…..
The author has created a comprehensive and addictive world with fascinating and believable characters….Grayson has become my new favourite hero from this series which is full of gorgeous, dominant men…… what is particularly satisfying is that the characters from the previous books continue to have a role in the ongoing story ..I love the close friendship and loyalty between them all and the fact that their stories continue to develop over the course of the series..

I’m beginning to adore this series, at first when diving into a new series one doesn’t begin with the fourth book, right? Well I did and I had some trouble in the beginning of where to place all the characters. I have to go back and read the first three instalments of this series. I love the writing style of Anna Edwards, she writes intense love stories with a touch of suspense in them which makes you want to read more and more.
Having read the fourth book in the series in this hot series, about the bodyguard of James North first, now it is Sophie North’s turn. She is James North’s little sister. She has suffered through the brutal attack on her brother caused because of his sexual persuasion. That is why she now hides behind the prim and proper personal assistant who wants to find her way in the world. All she really wants though is someone to own her.
Grayson Moore, is a world famous Native American movie star. His action packed Renegade series has made him a household name and with the fame and fortune comes the reputation. He likes his alcohol strong, his cars fast and his bed full of women. But even that is getting boring now.
Controlling Heritage tells the story of how other's views on what you should be can leave you with no control. Unsolicited opinions will twist you until you no longer recognise or trust the person you are. It takes courage and trust to be the person you want to be.

I so love this writer. Anna is able to draw you into her books and keep you captivated to the end.
You meet Sophie and Grayson through out the series. However, this is the first time you get a proper look into their own life. How they got together, the dynamics of their relationship and the total control they have over each other.
Grayson worships Sophie and will do anything to protect her. However, when secrets are revealed, will Sophie do the same?
This book totally had me hooked from the very beginning with the wonderfully well written storyline that flowed effortlessly throughout the whole book and Sophie and Grayson made me feel like I was peeking through a window watching as their story unfolded!
Fantastic book! Incredibly written and developed storyline that pulled me in right from the beginning. Grayson and Sophie are wonderful characters who are great together. It's fast-paced with hot and steamy scenes which include BDSM and orgies. Looking forward to more from this series.

After reading Controlling Heritage I realized that it was the 5th book in the Control Series. I now need to read the rest of these books! Not because I couldn’t follow the story. This book can be read as a standalone. But, for the fact that I want to get to know more about this series. I am including the warning just to let you know that if you don’t like this type of book don’t buy it.
The story features; orgies, suspense, sado ravishment, death, BDSM, and lots of love. You have been warned.

I enjoyed Grayson Moore and Sophie North’s story. Grayson is a Native American actor. Sophie is James North’s little sister. (I really want to know more of his story) Any way I am sure that you can guess by the title that Grayson likes to control the 24/7 type of control and fortunately for him Sophie is very submissive and wants to give up her control to him.
There is suspense, a very alpha hunk, romance, and very steamy scenes to read about!
This is the first book that I have read by Anna Edwards and I am very interested in reading even more books by her.

I'll say once again that I have fallen in love with both Anna Edwards and her series. However, this was not my favorite book. There were many aspects I did love though.
There was a good level of suspense, even keeping a reader guessing at the end. I enjoyed some of the very steamy BDSM scenes. However, one time it crossed the BDSM line which was disappointing to me because Anna Edwards has always been respectful of the lifestyle and making it clear what is abuse and what is not. I can understand why it fit in the story as it did but it caused be to deduct half a point.
I loved seeing the plot twists and once again the connection between characters especially the friendship that has developed between all. I also felt there was a great deal of respect given to Grayson's Native American roots. My favorite quote is "heritage is the past, present and most importantly the future." It truly resonates.
I wasn't necessarily a fan of how quickly the main characters came together but I think it fit. Overall I enjoyed the book and I still put it as highly recommend just with the caveat it's not my favorite.

Controlling Heritage is the first book that I've read by Anna Edwards, and I was blown away! And it made me want to kick my own behind for coming so fashionably late to The Control Series party! This is Sophie and Grayson's story, and it's a doozie! As their journey unfolded, I felt like I was experiencing it firsthand. Their connection and chemistry was insanely flammable, so when it exploded, it was FIERY FLAMES of sexy time. Anna Edwards has a talented writing style that is highly addictive. I was instantly captivated from the get go, and I could barely put it down after the last page, as I didn't want it to end. Even with all of my alpha female tendencies, this author had me thinking about things. If all of the above isn't enough, there are twisty secrets surrounding them, which had me dropping super loud f-bombs like a mad woman, as the suspense was off the charts intense. After finishing this awesomely sexy story, all I want to do now is go back and read the previous 4 books in this series! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I did wish I knew more about their stories, so I recommend you read from the beginning of the series, but know it’s not necessary.
Controlling Heritage is structured differently than any book that I have read. Sophie and Grayson fell in love quickly and got married about 33% through the story. Several years pass between chapters and we fast forward to when someone writes an unfounded article about Grayson. This has a ripple effect that shakes both Sophie and Grayson as well as their friends and family.
Can Sophie and Grayson’s marriage withstand the drama this article caused? A fun, steamy, and suspenseful story!

Controlling Heritage is another great addition to the Control Series. Sophie's brother James was brutally attacked because of his sexual persuasion and now all Sophie wants to do is hide from the world. Grayson is a Native American movie star who loves alcohol, fast cars and lots of women. Grayson hires Sophie to be his PA and from the moment they meet they have a strong attraction to each other. Sophie and Grayson are perfect together and bring out the best in each other. This is a well written story with well developed characters. This author always hits the spot for me and I am in complete awe of her writing. The journey that Grayson and Sophie go on makes this story a memorable story full of angst, frustration, tears, drama and a heartfelt love story. I look forward to reading the next book in this series. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.

I was lucky to receive a Beta copy to read in exchange for an honest review but have since bought the book as well
This series just seems to get better. In this we dive back in time before Grayson had ever met Sophie North we find out what happened to make him the man we know now. Then we travel forward to Sophie and Grayson falling in love to the marriage we know takes place. However we also find out the reason the reporter Sally is always trying to destroy everyone and the reason is Grayson. His sister betrays him by giving Sally and interview which displays everything she hates about him. Will the couple be able to withstand the storm that's brewing read this to find out. BUT be prepared for a cliffhanger to end all cliffhangers I was shocked to my core.

You meet Sophie and Grayson through out the series. However, this is the first time you get a proper look into their own life. How they got together, the dynamics of their relationship and the total control they have over each other.
Grayson worships Sophie and will do anything to protect her. However, when secrets are revealed, will Sophie do the same?
We also meet up with the rest of the gang. It's great to see them all and know what they are all up to.
I can not wait to read the next book in the series. Hopefully it will give us some answers to the questions that are raised in the book.

Controlling Heritage is book #5 in The Control Series by Anna Edwards. This is a very good addition to this series. Dark, complex and intense it will probably not appeal to everyone because it features BDSM and orgies. This very sexy book also beautifully showcases how your past causes ripple effects into your future. Grayson and Sophie are a great couple and I enjoyed their story. Well written, a great story and interesting characters make this a great read. I am posting an honest review after reading an ARC copy of this book.

Well-written with multiple pov that worked well with the story. Great story prgression and fleshed out developed characters, I enjoyed Sophie and Grayson's story, particularly the cultural aspect to it. Sexy, dramatic with lots of twists, and interesting characters. Looking forward to more Anna Edwards books!

Ms Edwards does it again. Pulls me into this beautiful story of suspense and intrigue with a lot of heart and tons of sex.
What started out as a new job in a new country for Sofia became just what she needed to heal. Grayson and Sophie are a perfect match. They were what the other needed to heal and grow. I loved how the chemistry pulled them to each other. I enjoyed seeing where they were a few years later as their relationship grew.
I really have enjoyed this series.

I voluntarily reviewed and ARC of this book for an honest review. Wow Anna Edwards does it again. Grayson Moore, actor and man slut, needs a new PA. Enter Sophie, a friends sister and submissive. Grayson needs a 24/7 sub. Guess who fits the bill, Sophie. They become more than Boss and PA. They get married. Next enter evil by the way of a woman named Sally. Stuff happen. If you want to know then read the book. Worth the read.

Fantastic book! Incredibly written and developed storyline that pulled me in right from the beginning. Grayson and Sophie are wonderful characters who are great together. It's fast-paced with hot and steamy scenes which include BDSM and orgies. Looking forward to more from this series.

Not my type of romance
I didn't realize this story was a Dom, sub role and bdsm. Not my jam for sure and no judgment. What was disappointing? The great amount of grammatical errors, incorrect punctuation, and missing words. I hope Ms. Edwards' editors and proofreaders step up their skills.

Once again this author has done it! This is the 5th book in this series and once again Anna does not let her readers down. This story has it all steamy sex, romance, laughs, sadness and heartbreak along with edge of your seat areas.

This book was amazing but that's no real surprise since I'm never let down in an Anna Edwards book! I truly couldn't get enough of Sophie and Grayson' story with both their painful pasts haunting them in different ways.Couldn't put it down once I started!

This isn't my first book I have read by Anna but it may just be one of my favourites after Touch of snow!
I couldn't put it down, I cried, I laughed, I gasped all the way through. The detail of the Native American world was incredible!
I actually can't wait for the next instalment.

I loved Controlling Heritage from beginning to end!
Wow what a beginning too!
Grayson is a big movie star who tries to do right by his heritage.
He's also an alluring dominant alpha male.
Sophie is looking to make it on her own even though she has a billionaire brother.
Through him Sophie gets a job. Being Grayson's PA.
She's sweet yet so strong.
Both Grayson and Sophia have painful pasts. But the time has come where they both have to
deal with what has happened to them.
Controlling Heritage tests where loyalties lie and where family and tradition stand.
Ms. Edwards did an outstanding job with the writing,storyline and the characters.
I loved the fact that Grayson is a Native American!
The characters are unique and intriguing. With backgrounds that aren't typical of most books.
We also get to read about previous characters from the other books in the series.
Controlling Heritage is fast paced,sexy and steamy hot!
The flow of the book was flawless and very enjoyable!
If you've read any of the other books in the series the this one is a must read!
