Saint Nikiforos (1887-1964) is a saint of our time. He suffered from Hansen's Disease, leprosy, in a time when little was known about the disease or potential cures. Lepers were forced to live in Leper colonies. Some lepers gave in to despair but others like Saint Nikiforos became leaders in the Orthodox Christian faith, true saints who suffered in love for Christ and his fellow man. He encouraged many people in his life and many miracles surround his life. Come, read about joy and love in suffering.

How does one review the story of a saint, lovingly written by those who were impacted by his piety, wisdom, love, and prayers? His grace is profoundly apparent to all who knew him or have read his story. Half of the book is story after story after story of miracles brought about by the saint after his repose. Glory to God, who is wondrous in his saints.
I easily could have read this book in one sitting, and almost did, but I deliberately put it down a few times so I appreciate his life and the testimonies of his miracles more fully. God is wondrous in His saints!
Everyone should read this book. St Nikiforos had leprosy for 50 years, became a monk shortly after being forced to join a government run leper home in Greece and died in 1960. What matters is how he lived during that time, which is what you'll learn from the book. This man suffered more than almost anyone I've heard of and for such a long period of time. I'm not usually like this, but I couldn't read the book for more than a few minutes without going into tears. This is an easy read. Please read and enjoy.
