You know when you’re in one of those awful reading funks where nothing sounds good and everything quickly becomes boring? Well, I recommend this series as the perfect remedy to smack you right off that funk train. Sensually enticing, heart wrenching feels, luscious three-way loving, all topped with intergalactic intrigue! *SMACK* You’re welcome. ;)
Now, you don't have to read the whole series, but in my opinion, you’d be depriving yourself of one of the most genuine things about these books - The characters and their relationships with each other. Ms Worth writes some of the most fleshed out, captivating characters you could hope to read. Each one screaming to have their own stories told.
As it was with Clay & Anders in Catalyst. I’m not gonna lie, their snarky banter, crazy pirate ways, and off the charts, sexual tension gripped me like a vice and made me its unabashed slave.
In Origin, we are introduced to Siri. Clay, Anders, and their team of space pirates rescue Siri from an “entertainment” ship where she has been held prisoner since she was 9 and tortured for the last 14 years. I mean, holy crap! 14 years! That is one strong woman to not have broken by now. Let me tell you, I was rooting for Siri from the get-go. Even knowing she was meant for my men. But, I love survivor stories, and with all the things she’d been forced to endure…well, I was just aching for her to heal and break free from her fears. For her to finally be happy and know what touches of love feel like. Reluctantly, I allowed this to happen withmy men Clay and Anders.
Clay & Anders have this unique type of chemistry. It’s like a live wire strung throughout the book just waiting to singe and scorch you to your bones. Well, Siri sees this right away and vows that she owes it to them to find out why they refuse to be together. Gut-punching feels ensue and I die a bit more knowing how wrong it is that they were not always together.
However, without spoiling too much, I will say things do end extremely promising for more Siri, Anders, Clay brilliance to appear in the final(?) installment, Redemption. Where it appears will, hopefully, be redeemed. Yay! Another love of mine,
I already used a bunch of quotes in my updates, and I tend to give too much away when I allow these reviews of mine to ramble on for too long. Therefore, I will leave you with one last tiny morsel that just happens to occur in my new favorite shower scene…Enjoy!
Anders slicked back Clay’s hair, got more soap and began to gently scrub the captain’s scalp. Clay still didn’t take his eyes off Ander’s face, not even when soap threatened to sting them. I held my breath, touched by what neither man was saying out loud. Anders rinsed his hair, making sure to tilt his head back so the soap didn’t get in his eyes. The whole time, he ran his fingers through the captain's hair and stared back into his eyes.
Clay cracked a smile, starting to look more alert. He shook his head and leaned forward to rest his forehead on Anders chest. “What am I going to do with you?”
“I have lots of ideas,” Anders murmured against the top of his head.
SQUEE! I have such a longing to never let this trio go!

I read all the series. Dani Worth never disappointed me. She has this fluidity in her writing that even if it is sci-fi. Sci-fi is a bit difficult because the author needs to make sure that the words used are extremely “visual” in order for the reader to immediately set up the story. It is also a sub-genre that is enough rare for me in menage that I truly appreciate it.
As usual, my review has no logical beginning or end. I will share my thoughts the way they come.
First, I was very happy to read a novel and not a novella like the first three books of this series. This is something that I was not fond with. I always felt as if the story needed more, stopped short each time. They were really good, do not get me wrong, but they were too short for my taste. Origin was longer by a 50 pages and I was way more into the characters and the plot.
This story is one POV only, the heroine. At first, I was not sure. I like to read all the main characters POV and I am generally more connected with them. But it is not always the case. I discovered that if the heroine had an intense and tormented past, it is nice to follow through and through her journey. And this was the case with Siri, the heroine.
I still enjoyed the main heroes. I cannot say I totally fell for them because I missed their past stories to know them but I liked them a lot. Plus I knew them as secondary characters so I knew them a bit, they were not totally strangers.
I truly loved this story. At times, I could totally pictured the horrible past of the heroine and it was not “too much”. Sometimes, some authors do put so much layers of teary explanations that it becomes unbelievable. Not with Origin.
Was it completely credible? I would say 99%. I accepted that the heroine was not totally broken after fourteen years of sex slavery. If a person knows nothing but what her life is, you just survive and accept to just live with the basic: eat, breath, sleep and suffer. No choice, no hope. I get that. However, in this story, two things disturbed me: how did she know how to use a weapon and how did she learn how to read since she was abducted at nine years old. That tickled me somehow as not believable.
I enjoyed the plot. This story can be read as a stand alone but it is really better to read this series in order. Why? It all revolves around a planet who was destroyed and the majority of the people were killed except a few. Years after this tragedy, the few saved are returning to their planet they thought destroyed and each book is about this re-population and rebuilt of the planet. But again, you do not need to, just better.
Sex is not the main focus of this story. I read a couple of scenes but with the exception of one, most were not overly described. I even found the author a bit shy sometimes in her descriptions.
The epilogue was a bit short for me. Probably because the book said 172 pages and it stopped at 150. For once, I did not read the epilogue before I started to read the story so when it ended, I felt like: “already?”.
Overall, this story was full of emotion and this is why it earned the 5 poly stars. I truly fell for the heroine and her story. I could relate to the heroine and what she felt. Dani Worth did not rush the sex scenes and that made it credible considering the pain and hurt the heroine went thru. It was progressive and I liked that. It was also not over-dramatic which I enjoyed even more. Her past was rough but do not be afraid to read rape scenes, everything was suggested.

Well... Where should I start? Umm.. Let's see. I guess I should first mention that I haven't read a Dani Worth book that I didn't love. And she didn't let me down with Origin, it exceeded my expectations. This series just gets better and better!
The first three books in the Kithran Regenesis series are novellas, so I was very happy to find out that Origin was novel length. This book could be read as standalone, but I suggest you read them in order. You won't be disappointed.
Origin revolves around Clay, Anders, and Siri. If you have read this series, then you will remember Clay and Anders from the book Catalyst. I'm happy Dani decided to write their story next. It needed to be told.
In this book we are introduced to Siri, a Gwinarian from the planet Kithra. She was being held prisoner on a "Entertainment" ship. Siri had been taken when she was nine years old, and had been tortured and abused for the past fourteen years.
Our sexy pirate heroes Clay and Anders stumble upon Siri, and rescue her from her fate. Siri is one of my favorite heroines. She is so strong to have survived what she did, and not be completely broken and lost. She is a true survivor. Her story was heartbreaking and tragic, but she kept moving forward. I don't think I have ever wanted a heroine to find happiness more then I wanted Siri to.
Clay and Anders were perfect for her. Siri see's their incredible sexual tension and wonders why they aren't together. She vows to bring them together, and a journey of discovery begins for the three of them. Siri, learning to heal from her trauma and understand love. Clay and Anders learning to show their love for each other, and Siri. It was absolutely Fabulous!
The writing and plot was strong as usual. The world building was spot on without being too overly technical. The chemistry, sexual tension, and sexual scenes were passionate, sexy, and fit in with the storyline. The emotion behind the story was real and could be felt through the writing.
I am very much looking forward to more books in this series. Dani Worth has something special with these books and I hope she keeps on writing them.

A friend (@e_bookpushers) suggested this book (and series) to me. This is the fourth and I found myself very comfortable starting here. Amazingly enough, I really enjoyed the menage elements - sexy and enticing without seeming implausible. The worldbuilding and series arc is strong and well thought out. I enjoyed this so much, along with the glancing appearances of previous characters, that I'm going back to start the series from the beginning now! Very tasty read.

Origin Rocks! Andre and Captain Asshole are as funny together as the last time (Catalyst). When they rescue Siri, this threesome is able to find love, sex, and justice.
Siri's history is heart wrenching, but she uses those demons and the support of her two men to hunt down some of the people involved in destroying her home.
I won't give away the ending, but I read it with watery eyes.

I sure hope this isn't the end of this great series...
Siri has been through 14 years of living hell. Abuse was her lot in life until Clayborne and Anders rescue her. With their help, she finds courage again and gets her revenge.
This M/M/F relationship was super hot.

Rinda, I've read the entire Kithra series and After the Crux series! I need more steamy hot sci fi mmf triads!!
Siri, Anders, and Clay....were there no smoke detectors on that ship, because that triad was super hot and steaming! I loved the journey to learn more about Kithra and it's survivors.
Now throw me a bone and write a new sci fi mmf triad.....please? Pretty, pretty please with Flagra wine on top?

Science Fiction is so much fun. There are so many wonderful things you can do with it. You can have aliens that are built differently, have differing abilities, differing philosophies, and you can build these whimsical, fantastic worlds.
Dani Worth has definitely done that with her series, Kithran Regenesis. The fourth book in this wonderful series comes out April 8 and I was fortunate enough to get my greedy little hands on a copy before it came out!
Ms. Worth continues to give us a wonderful world where people are free to love anyone they choose and however many people they choose. I love that! There’s no judgment in their world. It’s all about doing what makes you and the ones you love happy.
In Origin, we get to find out what happens to Claybourne and Anders. These are two people we met in the earlier books. I love that we find out what happens to them. We get their story. In addition we find another Gwinarian. Another one is coming home to Kithra!
But it’s more than that. We get a little closer to finding out why and how Kithra was destroyed all those years ago. We also get to watch Siri get her freedom and blossom under the love and passion she shares with Claybourne and Anders.
Siri has suffered for the past 14 years. She’s been held prisoner, abused, beaten, raped, tortured, you name it, it’s happened to her. Claybourne and Anders find her when they raid the pleasure ship she’s been held on. They take her with them and teach her to trust, to love, and to feel passion.
Ms. Worth did an amazing job of showing how Siri grew out of her shell and became her own person. How she found her backbone after all those years of abuse. Yes, I know it would normally take years and counseling, but this is fiction. It’s Science Fiction and Siri is a Gwinarian. Go with it. I did and it’s worth it!
We get some seriously hot smexy sex in this story. We get M/M, M/F and of course we get some good ol’ MMF. It’s all in there. But it’s not just about Siri finding her backbone and learning to love, it’s about Claybourne and Anders learning to forgive each other, love each other and move on. They find out how short life is and make that move.
We meet some people in this one. I’m hoping their stories will be coming soon. I can’t wait to get more of this wonderful world Ms. Worth has built!

Constant references to the physical, sexual and emotional abuse the heroine had suffered since childhood. While the amount of detail included may have been intended to show the heroine remembering and recovering from her trauma, the breakneck speed at which she healed made those flashbacks seem gratuitous (I don't think the author intended them to be titillating, which is the only thing that saved this from 1 star). Sorry, I have a hard time believing that over a decade of intense trauma can be healed within a matter of weeks with only the occasional mild panic attack to show for it. So every time the characters started talking about love or started making love, I kind of mentally slammed on the brakes.
