How many times have you heard or read a news report that made you think, “You just can't make this stuff up. What could they possibly have been thinking?” People often involve themselves in a chain of events that leads to unforeseen consequences simply because they want to take what they think is the easy way out, or they want to take what they think is a short cut to wealth or fame. I'm fascinated by this tendency, and it's the jumping off place for my fiction.

Another in the Traveler series. I read the prequel awhile ago and can't believe it took so long to read another in the series.
Ron and Nicole are thieves who steal from thieves. On their latest heist, they are set up to get caught. Managing to escape, they go after the one who set them up. They get a lot more than they bargained for. They meet decent people, as well as outright thugs and people who have stepped outside the law in their desperation for money.
The plotting is intricate, but it all comes together. Ron and Nicole are basically decent, likable people who survive by their wits. It's a very readable book.

I received a copy of this book for my honest review from Reading Deals. Fast paced, non stop action. The Freeport Robbery is a story of a heist, deception and double crossing with theives fighting against other thieves. The characters were well developed, interesting and kept me reading from start to finish. Can't wait to read more by Michael King.

In The Freeport Robbery both sayings, there is no honor among thieves and there is honor among thieves, play out simultaneously. Our grifter “heroes” are played, give what they get, and follow their own moral compass. Another fun, fast-paced read from Michael King.

All right story

Decent plot overall. Can't say I connected much with the characters since the whole was mostly about the plot and some twists, not so much about smart characters or cunning. Not sure that I'd give a shot to the series purely based on this volume.

Perhaps this is because I haven’t read the first three books, but I was not a huge fan. I got this title for free, and enjoyed it as a free book, however wouldn’t pay to read any of the others. IMO there just wasn’t much excitement in the book, to make me not want to put it down.

Reasonable.

Fairly predictable stuff but fairly entertaining for all that. Moves along steadily and has almost believable characters. Don't expect any major red herrings or surprises.

Just finished reading this crime novel and I must admit I wasn't dissapointed. The main characters came to life as the story unfolded. I will definately look out for more of his books. Well worth the read.

Robbery

I got robbed! I’m not a fan of crumby language and feel there are better ways of portraying the story.

The quality continues

Up to the usual standards, but missing the location references that let the reader locate and identify with. Still, a good one

Lots of moving parts

Good story about good guys trying to steal back stolen merchandise from bad guys. Lots of double crossing and plot twists.
