One god's love will heal my heart. Another god's love will heal humanity.
From USA Today bestselling author, C.J. Anaya, comes an epic saga of love, betrayal, and the ultimate battle between good and evil.
So I can heal people. Sounds cool in theory. Feels great when I can actually swing it. Unfortunately, my dad is all about keeping a low profile and healing folks only when it's absolutely necessary. I suppose that's best even though I'm super sick of hiding what I can do, especially from my best friend Angie.
I think I might have royally screwed up, though. Someone has been following me for weeks, and there are two new guys at my school who act like they know me, asking me pointed questions about my work at the hospital and how I "help" people. Tie and Victor may say they're seniors in high school, but they don't play the part so well.
I should stay away from them. It would be the safe thing to do.
But if I play it safe, I'll never find the answers I'm looking for... ...and I'll never understand this connection I feel to Tie.

I am always looking for reviewers to read and review my books. If you see a book that interests you please email me at authorandbookspotlights@gmail.com to request a review copy of that book.
I began writing short stories for family and friends when I was thirteen years old. My vivid imagination and love of mysteries and romances eventually led me to following my own dreams of becoming a published author. I also do some book review work on the side for SDE Magazine.
I'm a huge fan of The Mindy Project, Hugh Jackman, and binge eating any and all things chocolate. Who isn't, am I right?
As a mother of four awesome kids I'm usually playing beauty salon with my daughters (my four-year-old shaved my arm one time while I was helping another daughter with her homework. Yep. That happened) getting my fanny kicked in Mario Kart by my snarky little son, and making out with my deliciously handsome looking Latin lover, aka, my hubby.
This series just didn't do it for me. I had a lot of difficulty with the first person pov. The author wanted us, the reader, to know something but have Hope not know and it just came off awkward and made me think less of Hope. It was like Hope would think ... hmmm That person there has white face paint on, a big red nose, crazy hair, floppy shoes, and is making balloon animals....I wonder what he is? You kind of just want to face palm and go DUH! I was trying to at least finish the first book, but I just couldn't read another scene of - I am miss independent, I don't want to encourage this guy, he's just said something that infuriates me - but oh i'm brain dead now b/c he kisses me. Sorry... I had no hope left.
I gave this book a four star review however i must admit at the start the high school scene really bugged me and the way the girls fell for every male in the school was daft and so teenage but then the book took a turn i was not expecting at all. I was thinking i would be reading a book about a healer which i love however must admit the way the book progressed presented surprises on every page and got me interested. Love the friendship between Hope and Angie and the love and protection Hope's father shows towards his daughter, also loved her selflessness and willingness to heal and most especially her huge bond with Kirby even at the cost to her very life! Victor, Tie and Mori are just something else and we will just have to read the next book to see how this tangle is going to unravel if ever it does!!
Loved it. Clean love story, appropriate for all ages. Great lessons about choice, sacrifice and what it means to love!!! Ms. Anaya writes quality stories with interesting characters and important themes.
I was occasionally disturbed by modern languge used by characters who had not had an opportunity to learn the expressions involved, and by misuse of similar words such as 'effect' and 'affect'. In addition, I was frustrated now and again by some immortal beings' refusal to employ the maturity they must have developed simply through a (very) long life's experiences. These things resulted in my giving the book 4 stars, rather than 5. Concepts like love and sacrifice, healing and destruction, choice and fate, in a variety of situations and forms are fairly overwhelming subjects for YA fantasy. On the other hand, what better audience could there be than those on the brink of their adult lives? The humor was engaging. It lightened the mood of the reader and gave the characters a touch of realism. I came to care very much about several of them; almost all of them had more than two dimensions. These books are absolutely worth reading.
Originally I wasn't expecting this series to enthrall me quite as much as it did. From the beginning I figured it would transition similarly to any other paranormal young adult. Girl meets boy/boys, girl finds out she is different, boys fight over girl and then girl rescues them all. This one definitely started out seemingly like it would follow the cookie cutter method but totally deviated to give greater depth to the story line. With multiple life times and various levels of female empowerment the Healer not only takes a reader through the traditional with love and quest, but to a fun back and forth it time. It feels more along the lines of an Outlander sort of story line than a typical paranormal young adult in a good way. Definitely would recommend this series, don't bother buying just one you won't want to stop in between buy all 4 and read them as 1 since they flow so seamlessly together it wouldn't do any other way.
Hope has been able to heal people for as long as she can remember. Why, she has no idea, but she can. When she was younger her mother was murdered, but Hope wasn’t able to heal her, which always made her sad when she thought about her mother. After a series of weird events, Hope discovers that she is actually a Japanese princess who lived a thousand years before. Then, after meeting the God of War and the God of Love and Desire, finds out that her calling is The Healer. Not just the healer of those who are dying or hurting or who are ill, but the healer of the veil between Heaven and Hell, which is failing due to the wickedness in the world. This series has more ups and downs; twists and turns than a roller coaster. I thoroughly enjoyed it and you will too.
This was the first time I've read from this author. I'm super glad I did. I will be looking for books. Anyway, without giving you any spoilers,,,, Hope is a healer, she's a wonderful loving person., she has is predestined for a prophecy which she doesn't want. Then she meets tie and learns well your going to have to read the book or I'll spoil it. Look I've got kids and I couldn't put this set down, I read it in 3 days. I was sad it had to end I just wanted to keep reading. She even threw humor in the books. They were so AWSOME definitely my favorite read so far this year. I wish I could give it 10 stars.
I really enjoyed this series. I would recommend it to anyone. I was so enthralled in the books and fell In love with the characters. A girl who can heal who’s heart is so full of love and compassion. Being forced to hide her gift. Then suddenly her enemies find her and send assassins to attack her. Some want her dead but others serve a cruel master who wants this woman for himself. He is in a way similar to what we call the devil. The emotions in this book had such highs and lows. The lows made me cry of course. It’s fast action and we learn lessons through out this book series. We learn that sometimes people are not who we believe they are. They act unloving and cold because sometimes they want to protect you. It’s beautifully written and has a really shocking unexpected ending. A book series I will read again!
I enjoyed this series. I've been on a bit of a k-drama/c-drama/anything-asian-drama lately, lol, and this kind of appealed to that sensibility. A lot of the lore and stuff takes place in Japan, and there's some really cool stuff that goes on with the story. I didn't love all of it - the past was good, but I'm not a fan of time jumps for backstory. Yeah, it was kind of necessary, but just not to my taste. Otherwise, this was interesting and pretty sweet romance-wise, and kept me entertained for quite a while.
I absolutely loved these books, the story is so beautiful and heartbreaking all in one,I couldn’t put it down until I had read all the books in the series... I have laughed a lot and cried even more with all the emotions I’ve gone through whilst reading these books... Thank you so much for your wonderful stories,I’m now just starting another book about the fae,and I’m hooked already!
These books are a must read if you are into real love, soul mates, tears, triumphs, and happy endings. But first you have to start out with Hope, a young teenager with the unique ability to heal people. Then you have to read about her past life that have her this ability. Happy endings are not what you always expect. Sometimes choices are different than you think. Sometimes love means letting someone go, even if it will hurt.
Good vs. evil. Love and hate. Humorous and serious. This entire series has it all. The characters are wonderful. You must read in order to get the whole story. A great read for anyone.
The story is one that keeps you reading . Love and friendship trials and tribulations. This series was one of intrigue , joy, sorrow , pain, anger , compassion, and never a dull moment. C.J. Anaya is a great storyteller.
It had romance mystery drama comedy and love. I could see how Hope could love both Victor and Ti but Ti was definitely the one for her. I love Angie her best friend and confidant.
Read books one right after the other. Great action, story and moral. Good story for young teen and adult. Beautifully written saga spanning over a thousand years.
I don't read fantasy, but I couldn't wait to get through the whole Healer series. It's fun, exciting, and adventurous. The romance is just enough. I'd recommend it to anyone.
A very enjoyable read. I recomend this book for anyone who enjoys myths, adventures and prophecies. Get ready for an adventure that spans multiple lives and time.
I always enjoy reading a complete set. The mythology in this series was interesting. The characters were nicely developed and the ending made me happy.
I found this series slow to start but the pace of the book picked up and became nicely paced well balanced with a heck of a lot of surprises, love and action
Just finished the series. Loved these books. They conveyed many different emotions from me. I'm still in shock at how amazing this series was. One of the best I have read in awhile. So happy with how everything went and ended!
