Attorney Jackson Harris regularly goes toe-to-toe with the world's toughest lawyers--but none of them compare to Lucy Maxwell. The feisty director of Oklahoma's Big Heart Ranch for orphans is as stubborn as she is pretty. But Jack must stay focused; he's only there to evaluate the ranch's funding. Falling for Lucy and the sweet children she protects is out of the question. Though Lucy is determined to keep the ranch, she's not about to give control to a city slicker--even a devastatingly good-looking one. But as they bump heads, Jack and Lucy gradually nudge open their hearts. Could a temporary cowboy become a permanent part of Lucy's life?

Wow, Tina Radcliffe is now an auto buy author for me! CLAIMING HER COWBOY is only my third book by her but holy cow! She had my emotions all over the place. Once I started reading, it was very hard to stop! The twists and turns made it impossible to put down, as I had to know what was going to happen to Lucy. Jackson is staying on the Big Heart Ranch. He is there to see how his Aunt's sizable contribution is being used and that she is not being swindled by a bunch of shysters! What an awesome story. All of Tina's characters feel genuine and relatable and put your emotions on one heck of a roller coaster ride. As you are reading, you will find yourself cheering for all of them, praying they can work out their problems and be happy once again.
CLAIMING HER COWBOY is all about family and faith and totally heart tugging. It had me flipping through the pages like a woman on a mission. I had to know what was going to happen to Jack and Lucy and all the secondary characters. Lucy and her two siblings grew up in foster care and are very tight. They have a ranch called Big Heart Ranch for orphaned kids to spend the summer. Lucy loves all the kids at the ranch and Jack is determined not to fall for Lucy or that sweet little cowboy affectionately called Dub! He looks up to Jack right from the start and your heart is going to melt as you fall in love with this little guy! Once you start reading CLAIMING HER COWBOY it will be very hard to put down!
CLAIMING HER COWBOY is without a doubt one of the funnest books I've read in 2018 so far. I was instantly emotionally invested in all of the characters. Mostly, they all kept me laughing but the banter between Lucy and Jackson is hysterical. Tina Radcliffe is such a wonderful and heart tugging author and she had me laughing and crying on the very same page. I am now going to read all of her previous books and she has just made a new fan forever! CLAIMING HER COWBOY is the first book in the Big Heart Ranch series. Grab your copy today and get on the couch!
First off. That cover!!!!! Kind of makes a fainting couch warning redundant since you're already in full swoon mode. And yes, Jack, that 'white collar rebel' (p 61) is just as alluring as that cover art promises.
The citified Oklahoma boy is getting back to his roots and it's a baptism by fire thanks to Lucy's wicked sense of justice (aka humour.) This is romantic comedy at it's finest. One scene in particular -- involving a certain cantankerous Mrs. Carmody filled me with giddy delight. In fact, I pretty much snort/hiccuped my way through the entire read because that's what happens when I laugh and cry at the same time and Radcliffe is really good at fusing humour with heart-wrenching tenderness. I was a sniveling mess by the end.
So we start out with fireworks right from the first meet. He's determined to protect his aunt's considerable income from 'shysters' like Lucy. She's fuming over his tightfisted reins on the large donation her family counts on to keep their ranch for orphans running. These two are a riot together -- the micro manager in her doesn't want to give an inch. She's all about control and he's all about wresting it from her. Sparks fly, tempers flare and it's time to cue the wickedly clever banter. And all that charged electricity serves to heighten the romance because "He'd rather argue with Lucy than spend time with anyone else." (p.118)
And while Miss Lucy was busy claiming her cowboy, I was losing my heart to the littlest cowboy on the ranch. Gape-toothed, tousled haired five-year-old Dub might just outshine Jack as hero of the day. The little guy has a Goliath size faith and he isn't afraid to show it.
Heartwarming, toe-curling and hilarious. What's not to love? And kudos to the author for using fiduciary in a sentence more than once. It really doesn't get better than this.
My thanks to the author for gifting me with a copy of this book.
{Author writes on the dedication page: ”This first book in the Big Heart Ranch series is dedicated to John Croyle and the staff and children of Big Oak Ranch. Big Oak Ranch is a Christian home located in Alabama for children needing a chance.” ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ When I read that dedication, I couldn't wait to read this book. The Croyle’s are a "University of Alabama, Roll Tide family" and I come from an "Auburn University, War Eagle family". John Croyle and his son, Brodie, both played football for Alabama. In football, we are arch rivals and it can get UGLY!! But, oh, this ranch is BEAUTIFUL and God is surely glorified. I strongly suggest folks look it up online and see what it’s all about. I love that Tina Radcliffe seems to have somewhat modeled her fictional ranch on this real one.}
Romance. Faith. Humor. Adorable children (Dub!! Oh, you precious boy! Be still my heart). Unconditional love. Witty banter. Cowboys. And God is in control!! This book was so much fun! I love the author’s writing voice.
I did feel a wee bit let down at the end, as if author skipped a few chapters and took a shortcut to wrap it all up. Also, Jack doing a sudden “180” and completely trusting God wasn’t wholly believable or fleshed out. Faith in God is a predominant part of this story, but I just wish Jesus would have been mentioned. The Big Oak Ranch in Alabama is strongly Christ-focused. This book leaned slightly more toward “inspirational”, I suppose because it’s under the Harlequin Love Inspired label? Even so, I thoroughly enjoyed it and can’t wait to start on the second book, Falling for the Cowgirl. {{EDIT: Yay! I just found an epilogue for the story at Tina Radcliffe’s website. You can read it for free, just navigate to her Love Inspired page and find Claiming Her Cowboy. Just don’t read it before reading this book or, you know, spoilers, duh.}}
”’These are children who have been abandoned, neglected and even abused. This isn’t kiddie rehab, Mr. Harris. They don’t come here to be fixed. They come here to live a normal life. We are their life. We are their family. Forever. ….. Makes your trivial complaints seem insignificant, wouldn’t you say?’” <-- Yes!! You tell him, Lucy, girl!!
”’The Lord has been the financial backing for Big Heart Ranch since day one,’ she said. ‘This is His ranch. These are His children. He will continue to provide more than we can ask or imagine.’”
”’Word travels faster than a sneeze through a screened door around here.’” <-- Hah!!
”’Nice watch. Does it talk to your phone and your laptop, and monitor your heart rate and the size of your ego and all that good stuff?’” < -- “size of your ego” Hah!!
”’We don’t have pup tents in the Financial District.’” < -- Funny
”’I seem to have misplaced a good excuse for why I haven’t given God the time of day.’”
”’So that’s it? One minute we’re sharing chocolate and the next I’m gum on the bottom of your red boots?’”
”He’d wait until he had all his cows in a row before he….” < -- Love it! No ducks on this ranch (well, actually, there might be some ducks).
I loved every word of Claiming Her Cowboy: Big Heart Ranch Book 1. The swoon-worthy cowboy in the story matches the picture on the cover.
Lucy Maxwell runs Big Heart Ranch a place where orphans can spend the summer. It's never easy to raise money for the kids. When Jackson Harris stops a big donation opportunity, he's officially on Lucy's bad list. The story is warm, fun and lovely. If you enjoy romances, you'll enjoy this story.
I received a free copy of Claiming Her Cowboy but was not asked to write a review. However, my review is my honest assessment of this story.
Highfalutin attorney Jackson Harris stirs up a hornets’ nest when he messes with director Lucy Maxwell’s funding for the Big Heart Ranch orphanage. Challenged with stepping into her hand-tooled red cowboy boots for six weeks (so to speak), he doesn’t know what hit him! Better yet, even a lil’ cowboy named “Dub” one ups him with his sweet ways and little boy charm. Determined not to be stampeded over by either a pretty woman or a cute kid, he takes the bull by the horns to prove he’s right in his financial assessment of the ranch. When Lucy faces him with her steel-backed grit, this is one challenge where the winner isn’t as clear as the Oklahoma skies!
Jackson is one determined and stubborn character! OY…he got my gander up more than once. Aside from the fact he’s tall, dark, and handsome, he also bowls right over Lucy without so much as howdy do! I loved seeing her buck his authority on more than one occasion, she’s one tough lady. For her part, she also must learn to loosen the reins a bit when it comes to her business and that God is the one in control. Seeing the character & spiritual growth in both Jackson and Lucy was fun to watch. They both have past issues that must be overcome to move on in life. Witty banter anyone? Yeah, these two got plenty of that kind of spark! There were lots of laugh-out-loud moments for me. Can’t neglect to mention Dub, oh he was cute with his lisp and little boy wisdom. How he dug deep in Jackson’s heart when he’s not a kid person, I do believe God has a sense of humor, don’t you? This has got it all; character depth, humor, lessons learned, plenty of faith, love and learning to give control to the One who has it all in His hands! Can’t wait for future books in the Big Heart Ranch series.
*I received a complimentary copy from the author and was under no obligation to leave a favorable review. *
"The Lord has been the financial backing for Big Heart Ranch since day one," she said. "This is His ranch. These are His children. He will continue to provide more than we can ask or imagine. Right?"
Right. Lucy Maxwell and her siblings run Big Heart Ranch, a local charity for orphaned, abandoned, and neglected children. She is counting on the Brisbane Foundation donation to come through; only this year a newly-appointed foundation member, a big-city attorney Jackson Harris, recommends reduction in funding.
Lucy invites Jack to spend the summer working as a volunteer at the ranch to show him how the money is spent. Jack agrees, but living and working there, he is surprised to see his Grinchy heart grow a few sizes to accommodate orphaned triplets and the stubborn Madame Director, aka Lucy.
The first chapter started pulling on my heart strings so strongly for all the kids spending their summer at Big Heart Ranch. And for Lucy, who grew up as a forster child. "She's had responsibility on her shoulders all her life. Lucy never really got to be a kid. The only thing that ensures she can sleep at night us being in control." But being in control alone is not healthy for Lucy nor for the ranch, and it takes Jack, the temporary cowboy from the city, to help her relinquish her burdens to God.
What got me at the very end and made this book such a special one, was looking up information on Big Oak Ranch in Alabama to whom the whole series is dedicated.
If you have time, listen to some of the stories. It is so easy to imagine Dub and his sisters among the many kids in the real ranch or Lucy and Jack working there.
Both places, the real and the fictional, offer hope and healing in Jesus to hurting children. With the next book in the series, I am going back to Big Heart with a prayer for Big Oak. ❤️
After reading the other books in the Big Heart Ranch series, I was thrilled to get to go back to the beginning and read the one book that I had not yet read, the first in the series, Claiming Her Cowboy!
This story was just as wonderful as the other three books in the series, and made me appreciate some things and characters even more, now that I know deeper back stories. I really appreciated getting to know the story behind Dub Lewis and his sisters and how they ended up on the ranch.
Just as with all of the other main characters in the Big Heart Ranch books, I really liked Lucy and Jack. They were so right for each other, yet it took them awhile to figure that out! This book was very enjoyable to read.
This is a Cowboy Clean Romance, and this is the first book in the Big Heart Ranch series. This book pulled me into is right away. I love that this book has so many foster kids, and I love the Big Heart Ranch. I love all the characters, but I really loved Dub's character. That little boy stole my heart. This is a sweet, cute, and fun character driven book that will touch your heart. Loved it.
Sigh. What a heart-warming Love Inspired book by Tina Radcliffe. I’ve always enjoyed Tina’s books and this one is another winner. If you’ve never read Tina’s books, definitely try this one! Anyone who enjoys well-written contemporary romance with cowboys and lovable children would love this book.
The story has a great plot that sucks you in from the first page. Lucy, as the co-owner and manager of her ranch for orphaned children, needs her annual funding from the Brisbane Foundation to keep the ranch going. Jack, the newly appointed counselor for Brisbane Foundation, opposes the funding and creates instant drama and tension. The story unfolds as Jack spends a summer on the ranch and discovers how the ranch operates and what it really means.
Lucy is fiercely protective, loyal, loving, stubborn, and oh-so-lovable. She works hard to keep the ranch going and wants to be self-sufficient. She’s been burned by a fiancé in the past and don’t want to repeat the mistake. Jack is a suave, sophisticated corporate law attorney, hiding from his glitzy New York City life after being devastated by his ex-fiancée. He’s determined, resourceful, but also tender-hearted and loving. These two sure butt heads and sparks fly like crazy as they battle each other in words and wit. Their banter is funny, sometimes spiteful, and overall quite enjoyable. The themes of spiritual maturity and forgiveness are woven into the plot well.
I am hoping for future books featuring Lucy’s single-mom sister and cattle-loving brother. They are such great secondary characters who deserve their own stories!
I received a copy of this book from the author. I was not required to write a favorable review. All comments and opinions are solely my own.
"You shouldn't rule out the possibility that God has a hand in all our lives."
This was the first book I'd read by Tina Radcliffe and I loved it! Completely delightful in every way. I read it in less than a day.
Lucy Maxwell and her two siblings run Big Heart Ranch, a place for neglected and abused children. They rely on private funding mostly and their main contributor has a fancy attorney for a nephew, Jackson Harris, who seems to think that the ranch funding should be reduced. A lot. A deal is struck that Jackson will spend the summer at the ranch and evaluate how they do business. Lucy is determined to keep the ranch and not give one ounce of control to the city slicker attorney, even if he is good looking. Jack and Lucy continually butt heads about the ranch. Will they allow God to help them on each of their agendas?
I was completely captivated by this book and its characters. Radcliffe has populated her book with wonderful folks and I enjoyed every minute of it. The banter between Jackson and Lucy was so much fun. One child character, Dub, just stole my heart away. The spiritual them of allowing God control of our lives is one that I'm sure many believers can relate to. We like to hold onto everything in our lives, sometimes with an iron fist, not realizing that if we let go, God has better plans. I highly recommend this book.
*My thanks to the author and publisher for a preview copy of this book. I was not required to write a positive review. All opinions are my own.
This charming story about a jaded attorney and a spirited director of a ranch for orphans is perfect for me! Lucy will fight tooth and nail for those kids on that ranch, even if she has to come up against Jackson, the lawyer that hold's the purse strings for the foundation that regularly gives money to the ranch. Jackson thinks that the ranch isn't worthy of the money and should receive less or maybe none of the money but Lucy makes him come and stay at the ranch for 6 weeks (or rather his aunt does who is the director of the foundation) before he makes the final decision. A lot can happen in 6 weeks and it certainly does! For one, Jackson is assigned a child to be his buddy and that's "Dub", a 5 year old with so much sweetness in his soul that Jackson can't help but love him! I could love this book just by the interactions between Mr. Jack and Dub alone! However, there were so many sweet and tender experiences in this book. I had a hard time putting it down. I loved all the characters, especially "The General"! She was fantastic! Due yourself a favor and read this book. It's great!
After reading the other books in the Big Heart Ranch series, I was thrilled to get to go back to the beginning and read the one book that I had not yet read, the first in the series, Claiming Her Cowboy!

Proof positive that book tours work! I hadn’t read Tina Radcliffe before I participated in a tour for one of her books. Now, I am in the process of collecting all of her backlist. Claiming Her Cowboy is the first in this series about three siblings.
I love Tina’s writing. You are immediately drawn into her stories. Her characters are so real and you can’t help but be drawn into their lives. Her books are just like her tag line says, full of heart, humor, and faith!
Jackson and Lucy are perfect for each other. I loved their playful banter and their relationship was perfectly paced. I also loved the relationship between Jackson and his little buddy Dub. I just ordered Christmas with the Cowboy and can’t wait to get it and dig into Emma’s story.
Between Lucy Maxwell's plucky personality and Jackson Harris' determination, nothing's going to stay the same at the Big Heart Ranch in Oklahoma. I thoroughly enjoyed this novel, the characters were engaging, the storyline drew me in, and the humor made me giggle.
It's one wonderful read, so much so that I already have the second one on my e-reader ready to devour this evening.
A gentle story with a big heart. Sweet & satisfying.
Great Quote: “It’s about planting seeds. Sometimes you can’t see the harvest. You have to trust that by doing what you are called to do . . . the harvest will be there.”
I LOVE this heart-touching story where Plan B can turn out to be the best! What a wonderful romance of two strong-willed and caring people changing their own plans as necessary to help children! Author Tina Radcliffe’s new series centers around Big Heart Ranch in Oklahoma. It is an amazing place, filled with foster children who need hope and a loving family environment. The ranch mission statement is perfect: “Faith, hope and love. Faith in God, hope for tomorrow, and unconditional love.” Having been in foster homes themselves, Lucy Maxwell and her siblings opened the ranch to give suffering children an opportunity to grow up in loving, family-like situations. Attorney Jackson Harris is tasked by his benefactor aunt to assess the financial needs of the ranch organization. The professional relationship between Jack and Lucy gets complicated when each individual wants to follow their own different plans. But when precious five-year-old Dub climbs into both their hearts, along with his two sisters, life gets even more complicated…in such a heartfelt way. I love the assorted characters in this book, all the sweet children, and the reason for establishing Big Heart Ranch. As prickly Lucy and stern Jack learn to soften because of a set of triplets….and learn to trust each other…a beautiful story unfolds. This is the first book in a much-anticipated new series by inspirational author Tina Radcliffe. This story, along with its dedication page where the author mentions the inspiration for this series, will touch your heart!
Favorite quotes: “Jack, it’s about planting seeds. Sometimes you can’t see the harvest. You have to trust that by doing what you are called to do, what this ranch is called to do, the harvest will be there.” “I know God is listening. Sometimes things don’t happen when we think they should, but He always hears our prayers.”

Claiming Her Cowboy by Tina Radcliffe is a heartwarming story that will tug at all your emotions and heart strings that should make you want to help foster children that have been abused, abandoned and neglected. I loved the beautiful dedication Rancliffe had to Big Oak Ranch that is a Christian home for children that have suffered.
Meeting Lucy, Travis and Emma Maxwell, in this initial book of the Big Heart Ranch series, brought renewed hope for other children. The Maxwell’s had suffered loss during their childhood and placed in foster care. Their compassion, resilient, courage, faith and love brought another chance to those less fortune when they inherited the property for Big Heart Ranch.
This initial book is Lucy’s story. She was one hardworking young lady without thinking about the cost to her personal life. Add Jackson Harris into the story and there are tense moments with his desire to change things at the ranch to make it more functional. Lucy and Jack butted heads more than once and then they were faced in confronting their own recent hurts and buried secrets. Will their faith, God’s amazing love and grace be enough to give them a second chance for romance and new beginnings with a brighter future for Big Heart Ranch too? I’m looking forward to reading the other books in this series. I’ve fallen in love the characters.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. I was not required to post a review but have shared my own opinion.
Cowboys, orphans and a lady in need. What more can you ask for in a story? How about laugh-out-loud situations and tissue worthy moments? All of these can be found in Claiming Her Cowboy and the attraction between the two main characters is enough to create palpitations in readers craving romance. Sadly, Lucy and Jackson are both stubborn and they each have trust issues so they don't easily accept their apparent connection. They both need to learn the lesson that many people fail to understand-- believing in God is not always enough. We also need to trust Him wholeheartedly and give Him complete control of our lives. And, as much as I enjoyed Jackson working to be a cowboy and Lucy striving to keep The Big Heart Ranch afloat for orphans to enjoy during the summer, it was a little boy named Dub who stole my heart and left me wondering if he could one day have his own story?
Author Tina Radcliffe has found the perfect formula for writing a feel-good Christian romance and I look forward to reading more about this very special place in The Big Heart Ranch series. Any place, fictional or real, with a mission statement based on 1st Corinthians 13 is worthy of a return visit!
I received a complimentary copy from the author and was under no obligation to leave a favorable review.
What an amazing, sweet, funny, and inspiring book. Claiming Her Cowboy by Tina Radcliffe was superb. Lucy and Jack’s banter and sparring had my sides hurting from laughing. Then Dub, such a precious 5 year old, charms us all with his inquisitive nature and his care for his sisters. Jack just met his match with Dub, but Jack soon learns that maybe it’s Dub, who is teaching him life lessons! Absolutely a phenomenal book. Tina Radcliffe truly has become one of my favorite authors. Her writing style just makes me feel happy.
Claiming Her Cowboy is an absolutely splendid book. Tina Radcliffe sure knows how to pack a powerhouse of emotions into these little Love Inspired Harlequins and she certainly does with Lucy and Jack’s story. The addition of the adorable foster triplets little Dub, Ann and Eva just add icing to the cake. I don’t think I have ever been so moved with emotions as I was this wonderful little book. I have most assuredly added Tina Radcliffe to my list of favorite authors. I look forward to reading more books by this Awesome Talented author in the very near Future.
I love cowboys. Even the temporary ones. Jack Harris fought tooth and nail not to give in to God's will, but the promise of hope, love, family, happiness, and even forgiveness, finally won him over. Claiming Her Cowboy is chock-full of all these promises, and is so beautifully written that you can't help but get caught up in the emotion with which the story was written. And the promise of more books to come? Win-win!
Each character in this book is special. They're all my favorites, but the one who most resonated with me was Dub. We all have that child-like wonder within us until something forces us to grow up too fast. Dub did this with no complaints and saw it as his duty to watch over his sisters. I know he's fictional, but I love him anyway. He is just one of the awesome characters you will find in Claiming Her Cowboy.
I was given a copy of Claiming Her Cowboy to read and review, and it has been my pleasure to do so. You won't be disappointed. P.S. I love the General, too!!!
How could you not love a romance that involves a little kid named Dub, a greased pig contest, and a wealthy very masculine hero? Five-year-old Dub who has a world of adult cares on his shoulders is easily my favorite character in Claiming Her Cowboy. Dub faces the responsibilities in his life with the resolve and commitment that the previous adults in his life lacked. You want to reach in a pick him up for a hug when he cries and when he experiences thrills that the rest of us take for granted.
Jackson is the hero we all want in our lives. He doesn’t mind stepping off his lofty perch to shovel manure or fuss with the chickens and his very actions prove his love with no guarantees for a return. And he can sweet with the cowboys and dance with the stars. And he’s softer hearted than the heroine. Ahh. We should each have our own Jackson.
The setting in the story is perfect. A ranch for orphans just makes the heart sing. And the banter between sharp characters is fun.
But the big question is can the two most stubborn people at Big Heart Ranch untangle their locked horns and fall in love?
"If I was looking for a man in my life, it certainly would not be another temporary cowboy." (20)
So I'm kind of in love with Tina Radcliffe's books. Her latest, Claiming Her Cowboy, the first of the Big Heart Ranch series is funny and downright adorable. Not only, there's substance. Know what I mean? A story is as good as it can be when it give us a plot that works, characters that makes an impact, along with touching our hearts, and teaches us something along the way.
"Cowboys wear hats. It keeps your head cool, keeps the sun off your face and keeps the dirt out of your eyes. A cowboy without a hat just ain't right." (185)
Claiming Her Cowboy promises on delivering an adorable 5-year old that will just melt your heart, and a message that goes in line with the mission statement of the Big Heart Ranch.
"First Corinthians thirteen. Faith, hope and love. Faith in God, hope for tomorrow, and unconditional love." (22)
Tina Radcliffe fit a story that seems to want to jump off the pages and spread the faith, hope and love it radiates for our characters. A place like Big Heart Ranch (the idea from the Big Oak Ranch, a Christian home located in Alabama for children needing a chance, as noted in the author's dedication) is so beautiful and humbling. To read about such love and devotion, it just touches those heartstrings like it's a musical instrument, itching to share the music within. In all, Claiming Her Cowboy isn't just romance as the title suggest, but a story that holds more than the mere 221 pages can keep up with. I look forward to the next books in this series for sure!
"Falling in love with a child has nothing to do with biology. It's a choice." (166)
Disclaimer: I received a copy of this book from the author/publisher. I was not required to write a positive review, and have not been compensated for this. This is my honest opinion.
Claiming Her Cowboy by Tina Radcliffe is a great read featuring Lucy Maxwell, ranch director, and Jackson Harris, the tough lawyer from the city. But wait, who is the cowboy? Jackson Harris has decided that Oklahoma's Big Heart Ranch should not continue to receive funding through his Aunt's foundation. He has done the math and as her attorney does not think it is smart move. His Aunt thinks otherwise. Jackson is assigned to the position of ranch hand. He observes the ranch happenings while learning his way around the ranch and getting to know Lucy. Lucy and Jackson have a wonderful chemistry and I could not help smiling throughout the story. I love the setting of a ranch that cares for orphans. I also love how adoption is a part of this story and portrayed so positively. Cute kids, a handsome cowboy, great dialogue, and funny animals to boot make for a great story. I highly recommend Ms. Radcliffe's new book Claiming Her Cowboy, and cannot wait for the other two books in the series. I was given this book by the publisher. I was not required to write a review.

Talk about an awesome story. Its a story about a ranch for children that have been in the foster care system or have been neglected or have been left. In this story you meet Lucy and Jack 2 very stubborn people who have had to grow up to fast. Lucy us always waiting for the provorvibly other boot to drop and Jack lost someone at a young age which he never coped with. Talk about a dynamic pair. Add triplets to this story and it keeps you turning the pages. Its a powerful story about family in away that isn't tradional. Its made thru people who care about kids that want to give them a home they never have had and are giving them 1 hour at a time. Promises are important and are kept. I will be following this series to the end for it reminds me that not all families are traditional. J
Claiming Her Cowboy by Tina Radcliffe. Lucy Maxwell is director of Big Heart Ranch for orphans. She is stubborn and fights for what the children need. Attorney Jackson Harris has a aunt who every year gives a big amount of funds to run the ranch. Jackson thinks he should look into the ranch fiances before they give her any more money. Jackson goes to work on the ranch. He is a "buddy" to a five year old boy. Meaning he does things with the boy when he wasn't working on the ranch. Hurt feelings and romance. A very good read.
I loved this book! It was really good. I couldn't put it down. I'm so glad that Lucy and Jack adopted the three orphaned children. They will make a cute family. Hooray for the author on writing such a great book!

Faith in God, hope for tomorrow, and unconditional love.”
Having been in foster homes themselves, Lucy Maxwell and her siblings opened the ranch to give suffering children an opportunity to grow up in loving, family-like situations.
