That, and the deep spark of connection he feels for the child’s beautiful nurse . . .

Amanda Kozlov never felt such a strong and sudden passion for a man before. But falling for Nick is not an option—the life the rugged cop leads is too dangerous, the wounds he carries from his explosive family history too fresh. Yet watching Nick bond with the young boy in her care, experiencing tenderness in his arms, Amanda longs to take a chance on the one man who could save the Harrison heir—the only man with the power to shatter her heart. And as drama swirls around them, only time will tell if they’re brave enough to give their love the future it deserves . . .

The fifth and final book in The Harrison’s series introduces us to Nick Martell, Miami cop and the baby brother no one knew existed.

description ...they’re going to take one look at you and know who you are.”

The circumstances surrounding Nick’s welcoming into the Harrison fold aren’t exactly the happiest—he’s a bone marrow match for Charles’ son, Myles—but as Nick gets to know his siblings and his nephew, he also gets to know Myles’ nurse, Amanda.

description It may have started in chaos, but they’d found each other in the storm.

I loved these characters, both have caring natures and are a little guarded, and both suffer foot-in-mouth disorder which creates some spark. And once they cross the line there’s no stopping them, as with Nick’s return home on the horizon there’s not a single moment of bedroom time to be wasted.

description There’s nothing more I’d like to do than take you back to my room and lose myself in you tonight.”

Jennifer Gracen has done a fantastic job in balancing the harsher reality of Myles’ illness with hope, and whilst the romance is undoubtedly at the forefront, the initial slower build as Nick and Amanda get to know one another is fitting of the situation. I’ve said it before, coming to the end of a series is always bittersweet, but it was a delight to spend time with the Harrison siblings again, I enjoyed how this book picked up a couple of years after the last and with new little additions to the family, and they received the send off they deserved. I for one am glad I hopped on for the ride.

It Might Be You is the fifth book in Jennifer Gracen’s The Harrisons series, although it can be read as a standalone novel. Despite how it does work as a standalone, I read it as such, I do believe it works better if you have a better understanding of the series before entering this one. While I did enjoy this one, I feel as though I would have appreciated certain things more had I read the prior books and knew more about the characters. What I found out about them throughout this book was a lot of fun, but I feel as though I was missing out on some of the smaller things that would have made more scenes and had a bigger impact to those who have read the series in order.

It Might Be You is predominantly a romance story, but there is plenty of other elements throughout to keep you hooked to the story. There is plenty of drama, there are emotional aspects, and plenty of other goodies that will leave you sucked into this story. It’s one of those romance reads that reflect real life, offering up hope in more ways than one. In other words, it’s not just a romance story – it’s a story of life, and the good and bad that come with it.

From the very first page this one pulls you in, throwing you straight into the story. You’ll be turning pages at a rapid pace, desperate to see how everything comes together – how the romance plays out, how the family life plays out, and how the heavier topics play out. There are so many elements that will leave you engaged, so many aspects you find yourself addicted to. All in all, it’s an addictive read throughout.

Although I started at the end of the series with this one, I am now more than willing to go back and read the prior books – preferably in order this time.

What an emotional roller coaster story this proved to be! Yes, it is a contemporary romance but there are so many other threads interwoven to make it a colourful tapestry of relationships, events and scenarios portrayed in a manner to tug at the reader's heartstrings.

When his Miami police precinct had a bone marrow donor drive Nick volunteered never imagining he might be a match but he is and the family of the ill child wish to meet and support him. Nick Martell is proud to share his latest news with his parents, never dreaming that this will lead to life changing revelations about his biological father. Connecting with the half-siblings he'd never known about and their families is dramatic in its own right, but add in his sick nephew, Myles, and it all gets even more moving! The attraction between Nick and Amanda, the nurse caring for Myles, is instantaneous and mutual but both are wary of developing a long distance relationship and there's enough family drama already in that household! Can love find a way to connect Nick and his newly discovered family? Can Nick and Amanda find a way to their HEA together or will there be too many obstacles in their path towards true love?

This is a very moving story that I didn't want to put down. I felt invested in hoping all would go well for Myles as well as for the romance. The family dynamics were volatile - and so was the romance! Never assume anything with this pair! Just when all seems to be going well there's another catastrophic clash to drive them even further apart than their homes already are. This is an enthralling, emotive story with so many twists and turns it keeps you uncertain of the outcome and reluctant to put the book down till you've read it all - and that epilogue is well worth waiting for! Although this is the fifth and final story in this series, I hadn't read any of the earlier stories about the Harrison family but still thoroughly enjoyed this one so believe it works well as a standalone and the extra novella "Happily Ever After" was an unexpected bonus. I have no hesitation in highly recommending both to anyone who enjoys emotive contemporary romances with additional family dramas.

I requested and received a copy of this novel, via NetGalley. This is my honest review after choosing to read it.

It really made me sad to think that this was the last of the Harrison stories. I got it, you can only have so many lost brothers or sisters running around out that before you stop and think...really? So after this one brother was discovered it was enough.

As sad as I was because I was really enjoying this family, the author did a wonderful job of how she ended the series. She tied everything up and left you with the knowledge that the Harrison's were going to be okay.

I was both shocked and happy when it turned out that there was a younger brother to the Harrison clan that no one knew about other then Nick's mother that is. Of course that opens us up to the dilemma of what his mother did. She keep him from his other side of his family. I got her reasons, truly I did, but I also understood why he was so pissed about it.

Hell, I even understood why Charles the second was pissed and I can't stand that man.

I really liked Nick and worried about how he was going to be treated by his family. I really shouldn't have. Other then his father, the rest came to understand that he had no control over not know anymore then then did and he wanted nothing from them.

He was there only to help the nephew he didn't know and maybe connect with his brothers and sister, and to fall for Amanda even when he wasn't looking for a romance. Who would so far from home?

Most of the time I liked these two together but at other times I wanted to slap Amanda. She treated him so unfairly and put things on him that he hadn't done. She made more out of everything he did that she didn't like. Okay, maybe I didn't care for her as much as I thought.

I just felt at times she wasn't fair to him and for no good read what so ever. Of course in the ended they worked through everything and found their HEA but...I was still just okay with her. Love Nick though.

I really liked how the author ended the story and moves she made. I want to say more but you should read it for yourself. It will all be worth it. Now that she's done with this series and can't wait to see what's next.

This story has all of the potential to be absolutely wonderful. Nick suddenly discovers that his mother has been keeping a secret from him for years. He is actually the illegitimate son of an extremely wealthy and powerful man. And he found out because he is going to be donating bone marrow to save the man’s grandson.

Miami-born Nick from a blue-collar background is like a fish out of water in New York with the Harrison clan. Despite the fact that he is there to help, they are immediately suspicious of his claim to be their sibling. They soon come-around and welcome him into their family.

There is much to like from this aspect as the familial interactions ring true. The young boy, Myles, is precocious and a spectacular addition to the story. Apart from Nick and Myles, my other favorite character was Pierce, the legitimate son who’s always been treated illegitimately by his father. I am definitely going back to read his story.

As a romance, however, It Might Be You just didn’t work for me. Amanda (the love interest), Myles’ nurse, overreacted far too many times for me. I felt like she really needed to get a sense-of-humor and tone down her constant indignation–a lot. Also, as a nursing professional, her treatment of Nick when he was recovering from the surgery was wrong, just wrong. Despite the fact that he was in pain, she reacted, when, as a nurse, she shouldn’t. If she knew that she couldn’t remain impartial, she should never have allowed herself to be hired as his nurse. I found myself wishing that another woman would suddenly materialize out of thin air for Nick to fall in love with. Alas, that never happens.

Now, I am always conscious of the language being used in a novel. Dropping the F-bomb in The Godfather or The Naked and the Dead is to be expected. And, I don’t mind it to a degree in romances as long as there is some thought and rationale behind it. Here, it began to feel gratuitous. I could never imagine a well-brought-up father talking to his father and saying: “he’s your f*cking grandson.” Do we really use that in reference to someone we love?

So, anyway. I hope Nick gets over Amanda very quickly and finds himself someone who is truly worthy of him.

Jennifer Gracen bought the drama llama for this one. Geesh…

Nick Martell has gotten the shock of his life. After being contacted by a national bone marrow registry, he learns the young boy he’s a match to donate to happens to be his nephew. Apparently, his biological father is Charles Harrison II, an extremely wealthy and well-known man in New York.

Amanda Kozlov is a home health-care nurse who works for Charles Harrison III. His young son Myles is very ill and under constant medical care until a bone marrow transplant can take place. Amanda is on duty from early afternoon until nine at night - and even though she knows she needs to keep a professional distance, she’s come to care deeply for Myles and is thankful to be working for the Harrisons.

When Nick and Amanda meet, there’s an instant attraction between them. But neither of them is in a good place emotionally - Amanda is continually concerned about Myles, and Nick is reeling from meeting the family he never knew about (including the father who is horribly emotionally abusive). Their time together is a respite from all the negative in their lives. But it’s also a recipe for an incredibly volatile relationship.

While I give the author props for not having the whole story (and their whole relationship) built around how hot they were for each other (as was my complaint about book two in this series), these characters behaved like teenagers. One would make an off-hand comment that would offend the other, and the offended person would storm off. The offender would reach out, the offended would ignore them for a couple days. Wash, rinse, repeat. It reminded me of all the high-school drama of my teenage daughter and her friends that I listened to while driving carpool. Only our heroine was 32 and our hero 29. And I have little patience for that kind of behavior in people who are supposed to be adults. Add in them both lamenting - frequently - about how there is no way they can be together because he lives in Miami and she lives in New York (because apparently no one is ever allowed to relocate), and I simultaneously wanted to gag and roll my eyes.

This story could have been so, so good. Nick meeting the Harrisons was interesting and compelling. The Harrison clan isn’t all warm and fuzzy - the two oldest brothers are cynical and prickly, trying to protect their family from a person who may come in and make a claim on the Harrison fortune. The father is downright awful. The part of the story where Nick and his new siblings are getting to know each other and deal with their father was really good. And Nick and Amanda’s relationship could have been really sweet. They both needed someone to be an ally for them during this emotionally strenuous situation. Instead, they just added more angst and drama.

I was cautiously optimistic about this final book in the Harrisons series. I’ve read Jennifer Gracen before - her McKinnon Brothers series was really good. But the two books I read in this series couldn’t have been more disappointing. I read romance books because I want to read about the relationship between the hero and heroine - and there didn’t seem to be any redeeming qualities to the relationships in the two books I read. And the other three books? I haven’t any desire to read them. In fact, there was a bonus novella about the couple from book two (which is the other one from this series I read!) and I didn’t read it - read about five paragraphs and decided I was done with the Harrisons.

I’ll give Jennifer Gracen a try again, but these last two books of hers I read were a big miss for me. And that makes me sad.

It Might Be You by Jennifer Gracen
The Harrisons #5

Nick Martell is on the bone marrow registry list and is called in as a match for a young boy living in New York. Without a qualm he agrees to take time away from work in Miami and head up for more testing. Just before he leaves he finds out he is actually related to Myles…yes…his mother had an affair with the boy’s grandfather and now Nick has not only a cousin to save the life of BUT half-siblings and a family he didn’t even know existed. At first he is a bit overwhelmed and then when his half-siblings meet him they are, too.

One of Myles’s nurses is Amanda. She is a great nurse but she has a tendency to “turtle” any time things get tough, she gets afraid, is upset – yes – she hides or runs or gets angry or mouthy or defensive and Nick is usually on the receiving end. I liked them together EXCEPT Amanda rubbed me the wrong way a few times. That is not all there is to her, though, so when she finally comes to grips with the idea that she and Nick could have a future she manages to go for it.

What I liked:
* Nick – what a sweetheart
* Myles – a charming young man I really wanted to see healed
* The Harrison siblings – great people that pulled together and took Nick under their wings once they got over their surprise/shock
* Nick’s mother, the man she married that is his “true” father and his sisters

What I didn’t like:
* Charles Harrison II – the sperm donor – was a sh*t to his family…all of them…especially Pierce and Nick
* Amanda’s quick temper and ability to take something said by Nick that most would not be offended by and make Nick feel guilty then apologize

Thank you to NetGalley, Kensington Books – Zebra and Barclay Publicity for the ARC – This is my honest review.

I went into this book thinking it was the first book in the series I had read, but when I went to leave this review I realized that wasn't the case. I had read the last book in this series without realizing that the characters from that book was integrated in this one. There wasn't enough about the sister's past for me to tie the two stories together.

That said, I really enjoyed this story. It was a unique twist to see how the long lost brother was going to come into the family and how he was going to be received. When I first started reading I was a little confused as to who the romance was going to be with given that Nick was walking into his family's home and therefore was related to everyone he knew in NYC.

But the in comes Amanda; I love how she was the rock that he needed through an incredibly difficult time. Not only was it a difficult medical procedure but meeting a family he didn't know existed until a few days before he left was an added burden. Amanda was an amazing support for him in a new world with new people and incredibly high expectations.

I loved how the author didn't assume that the reader knew the back story of the family and especially the father's back story. I loved hearing more about the siblings and thought the author spent a good deal of time building each character's personality and bond with Nick.

5 star review of It Might Be You (The Harrisons #5) by Jennifer Gracen
This is the final book in The Harrisons series and what a fitting way to end the series.Jennifer Gracen is a relatively new author to me and although I have only read one previous book in The Harrison series, I had no trouble diving in to It Might Be You.
Imagine finding out that you are a Harrison, the result of a secret affair? What would you do? That is the position that office Nick Martell find himself in when he is asked to help a sick child.
Amanda Kozlov is the nurse charged with looking after Myles. She fights her attraction for Nick who is struggling to come to terms with his new found family. Will Amanda be prepared to take a chance that Nick could be “the one” or will she flee? Will Nick decide to risk it all for love?
The writing was strong and the characters were awesome. I really liked the tough yet vulnerable side to both Nick and Amanda and that once they decided to jump in, they gave it their all.
This was an emotional roller coaster of a ride, one that had me tearing up at times. I knew dealing with a sick child who needs a bone marrow transplant was going to tug at my heart strings but such is the writing of Jennifer Gracen that you couldn’t help but be drawn into the story she wove. I was so invested in this story I couldn’t put it down.

I had received an advanced copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review. I read the story some time ago and I am very late for posting my review so I offer my apologies.

This is book five in a series and I would recommend reading the previous stories before this. I had read some but not all of the series and it took me a while to get some of the characters straight. From the stories I had read, including this one I think I can safely say that the entire series is a good one.

I simply loved Nick. Everything about his character was loveable and the fact that he was willing to help a child, whom he thought was a complete stranger, really pulled at my heartstrings. This was the highlight of the story for me.

While I liked Amanda, I found at times her fuse was a little quick to set off, and her walls didn't really make sense. I understood her hesitation about first responders but at the end of the day, the heart wants what it wants.

Do yourself a favor and pick up this series and enjoy!

Nick has a good woman in Amanda the girl loves to stroke his ego along with other things, “you’re not sorry,” she accused, grinning back. “And I’m sure not sorry. I get this hot bod in my bed . You look like a Greek god, and you damn well know it.” Nick isn't bashful to let his woman know when he likes something, “I love when you touch me,” he said. “Keep doing it. Whatever you want.” I liked this book, loved Nick.

Overall It was ok, but I found the family drama more interesting than the romance. I really liked Nick but at times Amanda got on my nerves. Nick and Amanda would get into an argument where both of them would say unintended things but the onus would be on Nick. This wasn't a huge element of the story but I felt like Amanda had a huge support group behind her while Nick was left with having to solely deal with both Amanda and his life being flipped upside-down.

Ms. Gracen is an author I haven't read before, but I really enjoyed this book. The characters were well developed. Even though I hadn't read the other books in this series it was easy to follow along and gain insight into the other characters. Nick was adorable! I had issues with Amanda at times. Sometimes I really liked her and other times I hated the character. Myles was the star of this book! I will definitely be looking for more books by Ms. Gracen in the future!

I voluntarily read this book as an advance copy! The comments regarding the book are all my own thoughts and feelings.

Nick Martell always knew that his dad wasn't his biological father. But when the former cop and newly promoted to investigator participated to a bone marrow donor drive at the station a few years ago, he never thought it would provide some answers about his parentage. But meeting his 4 half-siblings and his sire is no walk in the park not only because there's bad blood between them and the jerky patriarch but the Harrison are the most powerful (and rich) family in New York and a bunch of hot-tempered men . But no matter what, our hero will do everything he can to help his nephew gets better. And when he meet Myles's private nurse, he's immediately drawn to her. But Nick is from Florida and only in NY for a couple of weeks and the beautiful Amanda have a whole set of rules about the kind of man she doesn't want to date. Can Nick makes her forget about the list ?

What I liked :
-The characters felt real, with genuine emotions
-The hero own his mistakes. He's proud but honorable
-The texting between Nick and Amanda
-Made me learn more about bone marrow transplant

What I didn't like :
-Way too angsty for my taste, with the characters constantly overreacting (yeah, it was genuine but I wanted less tension and arguing between not only the Harrisons but between Amanda and Nick too)
-The hero reaction at the beginning when his mother tell him about his biological father
-The first part of the book doesn't let much space for the romance

**MINOR SPOILERS**
This was the fifth book of a series. There were references to characters in other books, but this definitely can be read as a standalone.
This is an angry book. I am not saying that some of the anger is not understandable, just that there is a lot of it.
- When the main character, Nick finds out his parent lied to him about his birth father, he becomes very angry and does not talk to her for two weeks.
- When Charles finds out that Nick did not tell him the truth right away, but waited, he becomes angry (turns colors, etc).
- When Nick’s birth father finds out that he has an unknown son, he becomes angry that he was not told and that the mother took his son away from him.
- When Nick’s birth father meets him, he becomes angry and says he will take revenge on Nick’s mother.
- When Nick’s birth father threatens his mother, Nick becomes very angry and threatens him.
- Etc.
Amanda, one of the main characters, has had a relationship in the past with someone who was reckless and died as a result. She is originally hesitant to get involved with Nick because he is a cop. She is worried about the dangerous nature of his job and does not want to be involved with someone where she would worry. When she tells him this, he pulls a very manipulative move. She walks away from him and is ready to end the relationship before it really gets started. Nick later apologizes and asks for a second chance, but that was the point where I realized I did not like Nick much. I thought she was right and should have ended it there. Later, Nick rejects her help after his surgery in a way that was thoughtless, and I again thought that she could have walked away.
Nick agrees to donate bone marrow and I respect him for that. The author describes how difficult it is for the child who is the recipient to go through the process. Nick is very supportive and caring toward the recipient. The author brings attention to this type of life giving medical procedure that I hope encourages some people to donate.
One thing that I dislike about some romance books is when the author describes the male main character as having more than his share of women or something to that effect. For one, I do not like the idea of man having a quota of women. Second, the implication is that he is worldly. Generally, not always, I just find it indicates a lack of interest in a relationship or an inability to have one or lack of caring. Nick is 29 and the author describes him as having dated many women. Just prior to the book’s time period, he admits he has only had flings (one night stands?) for three years. It sounded like there were several of them. I did not like this concept in this book as I have not liked it in others.
I do understand that there are men who have had many short or long term relationships. I do like books about them when they are written well and fall in love, sometimes to their own surprise. But in this book, it just made Nick seem more shallow. He comes from a family background where it actually is a little bit of a surprise. He was raised in a loving environment with a strong mother and two strong sisters. Later in the book, he tells Amanda that he could get laid any time, but that he just wants her. In some ways, this is a nice thought, but the way it was expressed reflected a general cockiness and Amanda was right to not like hearing it.
While I understood why Nick’s mother left his birth father when she found out she was pregnant, I did not like her as much as I wanted to. When she finds out about the family who will receive Nick’s bone marrow, she asks him not to donate. This would most likely result in the child dying. I think it would have been better for her to ask him to stay anonymous to the recipient family.
I do not plan to read any more books by this author.

Nick is determined to help save a little boy's life, but he never imagined his being able to was because he's related to the family as the son of a secret affair. So, when he arrives in New York, it's hard at first to handle the fact that the powerful Harrison family is his own, especially with the suspicious nature of the clan. But as Nick gets to know everyone including his nephew's nurse Amanda Kozlov, Nick starts to wonder whether he can have it all -- love, family and happiness. Will Nick be able to convince Amanda to take a chance on him, or will Amanda's past demons hold her back from achieving their happy ever after?

I have loved this series from the very first book, as each Harrison sibling achieved their happy ever after, and I've got to say that this book does not disappoint. Really, the hero is an absolute delight and goes through so much in this story ranging from the betrayal of someone very important to him to finding love to finding a way to get along with his new family. Will he be able to have a good relationship with his half-siblings? Will he be able to forgive the person that betrayed him? Will he be able to convince Amanda that love is worth fighting for?

The way this story started had me liking the hero immediately and had me sympathizing with him too, as what he learns isn't easy for him to handle. How could something so important be kept from him for so long? Moreover, the dialogue was highly entertaining and definitely full of emotion, as the hero doesn't have the easiest of times when it comes to meeting his new family, but I liked how he handled himself. He wasn't afraid to go head-to-head with his siblings when it came to defending himself because there's nothing more important to him than loyalty and honor. I also liked how kind and caring the hero was when it came to do anything for Myles, the young boy he was hopefully going to help cure of the illness he has. Will everything work out for the best?

While the heroine, it's understandable why she's so adamant about not wanting a relationship, because she lost someone in the past that's made her hesitant to give someone that puts themselves at risk a chance. Will Nick be able to win Amanda over? Furthermore, I liked that she was willing to be there for Nick when he needed someone, because accepting he has another family and finding his way to be a part of it isn't all hearts and roses. Yet, what I liked most of all about the heroine was how good she was at her job and how she handles everything she goes through with Myles and his illness. Certainly, being a nurse to a young boy with cancer wouldn't be easy, but Amanda is definitely a fighter and able to cope when the going gets tough.

Overall, Ms. Gracen has delivered another fantastic read for this series where the chemistry and romance between this couple was delightful and the ending had me cheering fort this couple's happy ever after, as Amanda was willing to fight for their chance at forever after. However, it was the epilogue that wrapped this story and this series up perfectly, as it gives readers the chance to learn how Nick is getting along with his half-siblings in the Harrisons and how both his families get along together. Then again, how could anyone not possibly like the Harrison siblings in Dane, Charles, Tess and Pierce? I would recommend It Might Be You by Jennifer Gracen, if you enjoy the mysterious strangers trope or books by authors Miranda Liasson, Amy Andrews, Sierra Donovan and Stefanie London.

This book has both cursing (including f-bombs) and on-page sex. If that will make you leave a bad review, you should skip this one. While this book is part of a larger series, you do not have to have read those to enjoy this one.

Wow. Jennifer Gracen nailed it with this book. I was absolutely sucked into the story from the first chapter to the last, and just when I thought Nick, Amanda, and Myles' story couldn't get any better, Ms. Gracen tacked on an epilogue that brought happy tears to my eyes.

While both Nick and Amanda were flawed characters, they were also incredibly likable both as a couple and as individuals, and they were very realistic. Nick was sexy and in his hot Hispanic cop way, but he was also swoon-worthy because he was willing to risk his own health and comfort to save the life of a total stranger, even before he found out who the boy was to him. THAT alone is swoon-worthy book-hero material if you ask me. The fact that he also dropped sexy Spanish into his pillow talk was just a gigantic bonus. Amanda was a nurse who was strong and excellent while doing her difficult and emotional job, but her personal life was a bit of a mess. I actually identified with Amanda far more than I thought I would, so her moments of fear and insecurity made sense to me. While they made me want to shake her and tell her not to screw up a good thing, I also totally understood how she was feeling and the way that fear can make a person lash out irrationally. I was so proud of her at the end – without spoiling anything – and that ending was exactly what I was hoping would happen. I wanted to high five Amanda.

While this book is definitely a love story between two really likable characters and their love story is the main part of the book, the family aspect was also tremendous and important and so well-written. I found myself just wanting to hug all of the characters involved from start to finish. The Harrison siblings were fantastic, Nick's parents and siblings were amazing, Amanda's friends were fun, and Myles...I absolutely adored Myles, oh my gosh. All of the relationships were imperfect and difficult, but they were realistic and heart-felt and I loved how all of them progressed organically and naturally. But Nick and Myles...that was where my heart was. I loved the relationship between those two so much and the epilogue...it was perfection.

I would recommend this to anyone who likes a story that is a beautiful mix of sweet and sexy and heart-wrenching and emotional. Ms. Gracen balances all of those things wonderfully in this one.

I requested and was so very generously granted an advanced copy of this book via NetGalley and the publisher. I was under no obligation to write this review, I did so because this book was fabulous.

My Review:
First thing you need to know...this is book #5 in this series, but that's okay if you haven't read the others. I haven't read the other books in the series either (yet...they are now all officially on order because I fell in love with this family). This book totally works as a standalone and you won't have a bit of confusion.

And you REALLY need to read this book because it was so, so good!! I loved the romance, but I truly loved the whole entire story about Nick and all this upheaval in his life. It's all such a shock and he's having to deal with so much...the stress of a 12 yo boy's life in his hands...a new family with 4 siblings, a difficult father, the stress of having his mother and adoptive father lie to him for 29 years.

The romance with Amanda is his safe place...a bit of normalcy in the soap opera-like drama his life has become.

There was a ton of emotion to the story...as you'd expect with this storyline, but it was a sexy read, too. The moments Nick had with Amanda were like a breath of fresh air and then it turned to sizzling hot air as their chemistry ignited. I loved the two of them so much. Amanda is the 12 yo's nurse, so she's dealing with the stress of all this, too...and the very real danger to her patient.

And I have to say...no spoilers here, but the ending with Myles...OMG, so much perfection in just a couple of sentences that made me so, so happy.

In fact, this entire book made me happy. I'm dying to read all the other siblings stories. With the glimpses I got to see of them in this book, I could tell all their stories were good. I really loved this group of characters...so much love and support (eventually) which makes for a great dynamic.

I received a complimentary copy of this book, but before I'd even finished reading it, I got online and pre-ordered a print copy of this book and the other 4 books in the series...yes, it was that good!

OH MY!!! Words cannot describe how much I loved It Might Be You by Jennifer Gracen, book five in her Harrison series. This is a story that is full of surprises that affects the lives of two families and a chance at love. When his police precinct had a bone marrow donor drive Nick volunteered never imagining he might be a match to anyone. When the phone call comes telling Nick that he’s a match to a young boy, Miles, with cancer he is willing to donate, even though he would have to travel to Long Island from his home in Miami. Problems arise when he tells his parents about this, they are not happy to have him do this. It seems that Miles’ grandfather is actually Nick’s birth father and his mom never told Charles Harrison II that she was pregnant when she left his employ. While in New York Nick not only bonds with his four Harrison half-siblings, he falls for Miles’ nurse, Amanda. Amanda enjoyed spending time with Nick, showing him Manhattan, and following up on their attraction. Nick and Amanda are perfect for each other but are not so great at communicating and expressing their feelings. It takes time and a number of missteps before they figure out how to make things work for them. I loved how Ms. Gracen helped them figure out how to make a lasting and loving relationship. I felt that Miles and the Harrison siblings added a great deal to this story as well as helped Nick accept the Harrison family dynamics. Nick’s support from his parents also helped his acceptance.

I really loved reading this book and had trouble putting this book down. Ms. Gracen is a wonderful story teller drawing me into her books, making me forget the world around me and not letting me go until I turned the last page. I highly recommend this book to other readers.

I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

Officer Nick Martell is going about his life working hard, and just got a promotion, when he learns that he has the opportunity to save a young boy's life by donated his bone marrow since he's a match. When he goes to let his mother know his good news before he flies to New York for more testing, and to meet the boy's very rich family, his mother learns their name, and she reveals that he's none other than the brother of the boy's father. Nick is as honest as they come, so as he struggles on how to tell them, it takes one of his new siblings to recognize him as family, which rocks them all. In the midst of all the drama, he meets his new nephew's nurse, Amanda, and he feels the strongest connection to her, which he can't help but want to explore further, even though he's still battling the hurt of his world being completely rocked. It Might Be You was a story that had me completely engrossed cover to cover, as Nick's story had all the elements to keep my attention hijacked. The angst levels were off the charts insane, as he was hurt, angry, confused, and yet, still wanted to do what was right by his nephew even when he was being accused of all kinds of nasty things. Amanda, while I loved her, she drove me crazy a lot, as she was a flight risk because no one was allowed to make a mistake or she took off, which had me wanting to shake her a lot. However, she & Nick's chemistry was flammable, so when it ignited, sexy times lit the sheets up. And the cast of secondaries definitely added to the angst, as their pain seeped out of my kindle, but some of them made me mad quite a bit as well. But see, that shows how talented Jennifer Gracen is, as I could feel that she puts all her heart & soul into her stories, because all of my emotions were drawn out throughout this story. So I cannot wait to read more by this talented author, and HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

4.5 Stars for book 5 in The Harrison’s Series, It Might Be you, I’m late to the party in this series and I have only read the last two books but that hasn’t meant these books are any less enjoyable, it does mean I need to find the time to read the rest of the series and that I need to check out Jennifer Gracen’s other books.
Police Officer Nick Martell learns about a sick little boy and he doesn’t think twice about helping him but once he is in the heart of the wealthy Harrison family he finds out he is none other than a Harrison himself and that is why he was a match for the bone marrow transplant needed to help Myles Harrison. Nick is not interested in the Harrison family apart from Myles and as he spends time with the little boy and one of his nurses Amanda feelings start to come into play not only does he find himself growing attached to his nephew he finds himself falling for Amanda. The problem is she lives in New York and he lives in Miami can they make it work, can Nick accept he has two families at different ends of the East Coast well I guess you need to read the book to get the whole story.
Once again another beautifully written love story, a journey that wasn’t easy there are lots of hurdles to cross for this couple to get their HEA, sickness, a new family Nick knew nothing about as well as Amanda’s phobia of getting involved with a Police Officer. This is a romance with lots of twists and turns, it’s hot, it’s sad and at times it will bring a grin to your face so if you love a good romance I suggest you one click this brilliant series.

An interesting and compassionate tale of sacrifice .

In It Might Be You (The Harrisons #5) written by Jennifer Gracen, published under the Zebra brand. Was one of those books that made think over my personality. Either I am seriously emotional, or this author just has a way with words.

Nick Martell a worthy man with a cause. When he learns that he is a match for a child who needs a transplant. He didn’t realize that his life would change forever. In just one day, he learns that his life was all a lie and there was only one reason he was a close match to a child that he never met. You see, Nick Martell was none other than a Harrison himself. Shocker to say the least of how he felt after finding out this secret. Struggling to come to terms with what he learned, and the knowledge that he learned on the Harrison he still is willing to help the boy that now is family.

It Might Be You, a delightful story with an above average, easy to follow plotline. Well written character and romance that was very suited to the genre of contemporary romance. What I really enjoyed the most was the interaction between Nick and his nephew. Those scenes are the ones that had me reaching for tissues, which I later realized I might need after the first introduction to the character of Myles.

Will I recommend this story: Yes. It Might Be You was well written and most certainly a keeper. And with the mile but settle push, to becoming an Organ Donor. If I could give this book more than 5 stars I would.

The hero in this book is just too wonderful. Nick Martell is a dedicated and honorable policeman who has just gotten word that his bone marrow is a match for a sick young boy with cancer. He willingly agrees to go through the procedure. Then he receives the shocking news from his mother that this family is actually his family and that he is the secret child of a billionaire, but his Puerto Rican mother hid from the family.

Nick Martell is probably the only man who could find that he’s the son of a billionaire and not care at all about the money. What he is interested in his the young patient’s private nurse, Amanda Kozlov. Their relationship grows, but he lives in Miami and she lives on Long Island.

I’ve only read one of the books in this series and I enjoyed that one. I found that the growing relationship between Nick and his half-brothers and half-sister the best part of the book. I’d be getting into that and then the scene would shift and it would become clear that the author had skipped over a key scene and just told us that it happened. That happened a couple of times when I was disappointed not to read that scene such as Nick going out drinking with his half-brother and getting to become friends with him.

I was given a free ARC of this book from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

Nick is a hero. Not because he is a Detective in the police department but because he is willing to donate his marrow to a little boy that he doesn’t even know. Well, maybe he doesn’t know them but there is a very good reason that his marrow is a match to this boy. I love this twist. Sure, I knew it was coming. It wasn’t a surprise but it was perfect. The fact that he ends up related to the boy only endears him to me even more. With all the drama, and oh was there drama, surrounding the fact that he is a long lost Harrison he never lets it get between the real reason that he is in New York.

Then he meets Amanda. Everything he thought he knew about love gets twisted around. She pushes, she pulls, and she retreats in reaction to his tough, alpha exterior. But she is perfect for him. If only they would both open their eyes are realize it. They both need to get over themselves and open their hearts to a love so perfect that it would be so sad to not accept it.

It Might Be You is a love story. There is romance, there is heat, there is love but it is also a family story. A story of finding a piece of yourself that you didn’t know was missing, a story of finding out the truth about yourself, and a story of opening your heart to love.

This is a story that is perfect with a mug of hot cocoa and cuddled under a warm blanket.

This was a fun feel good novel. The book starts with Nick Martell, a cop who finds out he is a bone marrow match for a child who desperately needs a transplant. Nick was in the system since the police station had a drive a few years back. In relaying the news to his parents while visiting them and telling them he'll be in New York for a while during and after the procedure, Nick and his mother got the shock of their lives. After literally fainting, she tells Nick, that she knows the family, worked for the family, and that Nick is part of that family unbeknownst to anyone. And the novel goes from there. There is also a sweet romance that develops as Nick is introduced to the child's home nurse.
I found this to be so gut-wrenching at times but also very heartwarming. This is very much about family, finding yourself and also falling in love.
This isn't a straight forward romance. It has two plots, both of which kept my eyes glued to the pages. I highly recommend this book.

I love this messed up family, The Harrisons. Now to find that there wass a secret baby twenty none years ago, it fit just perfect. Miami police officer, Nick just wants to do good and registers for a National Bone Marrow donation, only to find out he is the perfect match for Miles. Miles is a young Harrison. Now for Nick to learn the truth from his mom and for the rest of the Harrisons to find out. Blue collar worker meet the rich! Loved how Nick did not back down from the Harrison family, loved the special bond between Miles and Nick. Nick meets Amanda, private duty nurse for Miles. Neither looking for anything lasting, but such great chemistry that they can't fight off.

I loved everything about this book, The Harrisons, secret baby, Miles and the romance between Nick and Amanda. The epilogue was perfect. So sad to say goodbye. I highly recommend this book alng with the rest of the books in this series.

The Harrison's are one crazy messed up clan and what a great way this author came up with to introduce a new Harrison to the crazy. All the characters in this series are amazing and Nick and Amanda fit right in.

Miami police officer Nick Martel is a kind soul who finds out his bone marrow is a match for a young boy in New York who is desperately in need of a transplant. Never hesitating Nick agrees to help the and his family. Never could he have imagined how this decision will change his life. Not only does he meet Amanda. She's the home nurse caring for Miles, the young boy Nick is there to help. He also discovers the truth about his biological father and the Harrison clan.

This is a fascinating story and I don't think you should miss it. Put it on the must read, I highly recommend it.
