I love homemade tacos, nail polish, and romance novels--not necessarily in that order. I'm a big fan of country music, a staunch proponent of saving the Oxford comma, and I'm shamefully obsessed with all things Harry Potter.
I believe that God is love. I guess that's why I adore romances.
I have always been intrigued with the Amish culture, their gentle ways and slower-paced lifestyle. (And I love, love, love the fact that they stay married for their lifetime.) But until recently I never thought to blend this interest with my penchant for romance. Okay, okay, I'm a bit old-fashioned and even enjoy the gender roles that are present in this culture. I love to cook and take care of my family. Yes, that's me June Cleaver with a laptop.
I dislike people trying to convince me to read the Twlight series (I'll get to it or I won't, either way I'm good with it), gratuitous violence, and strawberry ice cream. (I know I'm alone on this last one, and again, I'm good with it.)
Favorite movies--(besides HP) French Kiss, Maid of Honor, A Lot Like Love, Just Married, and Sweet Home Alabama. Oh, and Miss Congeniality, Sabrina (both versions) and a 1940's movie called Dear Ruth. If you haven't seen it, you should! A-dorable. Anything with Doris Day and most all of Marilyn's and Audrey's.

I usually enjoy reaching Amish fiction. This was the first one of the series entitled 'Amish of Pontotoc'. They inspire romance, faith, and assurance.

Fifteen years. That’s how long it’s been since Hannah McLean set foot in the Amish community where she was raised. Through it all her heart has never forgotten Pontotoc—or Aaron Zook, her first love. Now widowed, and left with little more than her hurting teenager and her prayers, she returns home, even knowing she and her son may be turned away.
The heroine had hit rock bottom and returned to her Amish family when she had absolutely nowhere else she could turn for help. They readily provided her and her son with shelter, food, and love.
When Aaron learns Hannah has returned, he nearly falls to his knees. He’s a strong man, but lately, the care of his three motherless children and family land have been more than he can handle. Now providence has delivered the first woman he loved, and with her, the rush of feelings they once shared. But will his simple, removed way of life leave Hannah longing for something more, or can they begin anew, finding a new way forward together?
The son was completely blindsided by his mother time and time again, yet he never tried to turn tail and run away. He faced adult problems with more focus than his mother ever did. She acted like the teenager and never even considered talking to him about trying to reach a resolution to their dilemma that she had caused. However, I felt the analogies put forth by the 15-year-old son were way too advanced for his age. Many adults don't even have the comprehension to have some of the inner thoughts this child portrayed.
This tale seemed somewhat diluted by the narrator's delivery.
However, I am going to give the second book a chance and hope that the author learned from some of the mistakes incurred in this installment. The conclusion is based on what he learned about God, faith, and trust throughout their short stay in Amish country that his mother had not been able to grasp even though she grew up there.
It is able to stand on its own and it is clean and wholesome.

I really enjoyed reading Hannah's story. This is such an exciting start to a new series by Amy Lillard, the Amish of Pontotoc. The author really knows how to pull on your heartstrings!
I went through a lot of emotions while reading this! After the death of her husband Hannah's life is a struggle. She left the Amish for 15 years and is now returning with a teenage son. He doesn't want to leave the comforts of his Englisher life, his cellphone,computer,etc. Hannah is torn and walking between two worlds, should she stay Englisher for her son and all he knows or go back to her old way of life and how she grew up and is familiar with. Can you even go back to this way of life or is it too late to make a new start? There also the little matter of her old boyfriend,Aaron who thought he was going to marry Hannah before she took off as a teen without a word to anyone. He is unsure how to take her return. Can he count on her to be in his life again? He has always loved her and will continue to do so! Can his heart take having her in the community and not being able to call her his a second time? When her son finds out a secret through gossip how will Hannah handle this? Hannah was the main character but her son Brandon played a big part in this book as well. I can't wait to see how things go with him in the next book. The author emphasizes forgiveness and letting go, moving forward with life. The author portrays real life situations and I look forward to reading more about these characters in future books. I really enjoyed this book!

Hannah McLean left the Amish community fifteen years ago. Having just lost her husband, her finances and her home uncertain, she returns to Pontotoc, Mississippi with her fourteen-year-old son Brandon. Hannah has desperately missed the community and her life turned out nothing like she had hoped. One glance at Aaron Zook, a widower with three children, and Hannah feels a deep sense of loss.
Things are going to be totally uphill for Hannah. Her husband has died and left her in debt. While she waits for the finances to be settled, she makes a temporary home with her family. There is no doubt that Hannah has questioned her decisions, but how will she ever move forward? Not only does she have to really question her faith and learn about forgiveness, she must also learn about hope. Furthermore, she must consider what is best for Brandon. How can a worldly teen thrive among the Amish?
What about Aaron? What is their past? Their connection? If they could possibly open their hearts again to one another there are the rules of the Amish faith to consider. Hannah is at the most serious crossroad in her life and it will take a lot for that elusive hope to become a reality.
What an incredible book! I was moved - over and over again. Hannah's struggle felt so incredibly real. Also, there was a twist in this story that will have a lasting impact on everyone involved. I love how that was handled. I fell in love with this family. Each of them have stories well worth considering and thus this was a thought-provoking read.
I have read a handful of inspirational romances and this is definitely one of my favorites. This book leaned heavily of the tenets of faith and prayer, as well as powerful family ties. This was a book that was impossible to put down. As a matter of fact, I read all three books in the series, one after another. I love Amy Lillard's style and how she was able to draw on my emotions. I look forward to reading more from her in the future.

I enjoyed Hannah’s story so much. What a great start to a new series! I feel like I can’t wait until the next story is out and I can return to this interesting community and heartfelt characters.
I loved the history that Aaron and Hannah shared and the way that they were drawn together all of these years later. There was great romantic tension between these two! I thought that the author did a very good job of illustrating the feelings that Hannah and Aaron had for each other, both past and present. However, life events kept them apart for so long. And even through this story, the worries of the world and not giving full trust to God could keep them apart again.
This story was really packed with interesting characters, from Hannah’s extended family and her son, to Aaron’s sweet children. They all combined to make this story feel very authentic.

After her husband dies, Hannah McLean leaves Nashville with her 14-year-old son Brandon to return to the home she left 15 years ago just outside Pontotoc, Mississippi in the Amish community. It's a mixed bag of emotions and reception. Her father remains aloof while her mother welcomes her. The most complicated relationship exists between herself and Aaron Zook. When she left Pontotoc, Aaron began dating another woman because of Hannah's brother's suggestion. Hannah never intended to be gone forever, but when she found herself pregnant, she and him dating someone else, she didn't want him to feel obligated to marry her. Instead she found someone who promised to accept the child as his own although he failed to live up to the promise. With Hannah's "Englisch" ways and concern for her son who wants modern conveniences, will she and Aaron find a way to reconcile? With deadlines to make her choice, what will she choose?
I enjoyed this novel set near the area of the country in which I grew up. It is probably a little preachier in one spot than much of today's Amish fiction, but it probably doesn't stay there long enough to offend those who want the romance without the preachiness. The novel frequently mentions the Pontotoc community's connection to the Etheridge community in Tennessee. (3.5 stars)

Lillard is one of my go to authors especially for Amish fiction. I’ve loved her books and A Home for Hannah is right up at the top. It was nice to get to know the Amish of Pontotoc, Mississippi especially Hannah and her family and Aaron Zook and his. They have a past since they were each other’s first loves and even though fifteen years have passed with her living in the Englisch world and married to another when she returns home it’s like they were never apart in their feelings for each other. Since she ran away without telling him or giving him a reason, why can they really pick up where they left off if she does enter the church and becomes Amish again? He was married in the interim as well and has three children but his wife died almost a year ago. . When Hannah returns with her fifteen year old son it’s because her husband has died and left her with lots of debts that his estate has to work through and has nowhere else to go.
Watching Hannah with one foot in the Amish world, or “Amish Land” as her son calls it, and one foot int he Englisch world was heartbreaking.. Watching Hannah reunite with her family and get closer one minute and take two or three steps back the next hurt my heart. She did the same with Aaron. It was nice to see how her son began to understand the Amish world even if he knew he wouldn’t be comfortable living in it forever but could see his mom embracing her upbringing once again. Having his cousin, Joshua, help him navigate some of the pitfalls was helpful and seeing how Brandon was readily accepted was nice and unexpected. Watching Brandon shed some of his surliness as he got to know his relatives he never knew he had was heartwarming. Brandon had questions answered about her past and even his childhood and his feelings often brought a smile to my face. Seeing her family and Aaron learn of most of the events at the same time was touching
There were lots of prayers, getting to know you moments, matchmaking, cooking, chores, the church, love, friendship, laughter, tears and love. There were twists and turns to the story but some expected happenings too. The bishop was more understanding than I expected. There is wonderful closure, not at all what I expected. I can’t wait to return to Pontotoc over and over again to find out what everyone’s up to since there is much more story to tell!
Favorite Quote: …he hadn’t complained since those first few days. Hannah was grateful. She knew he wasn’t happy about being in “Amish Land,” as he liked to call it. She had never expected him to accept it as a way of life, but it was a lot easier to get along when he wasn’t constantly griping about one thing or another.

I loved so many parts of this book: the story of how a woman who left the Amish life adjusted to the English world, how she was received when she came back to the Amish community, how her son reacted to the Amish way of life and how her own faith changed throughout the story. I loved Aaron's story and how the community helped him with his girls after his wife died. I loved how close he was with Hannah's family even after she left.
So now you're wondering if I loved it so much why did I only give it two stars especially when most of the other reviews have it much higher.
I HATED the ending. Hated it to the point where this is the first book in a long time that I actually finished and was pissed off about the ending. As a mother, I can't wrap my head around how Hannah was okay with how the book ended. There was no discussion about it, she just accepted it. I'm sure that an alternative, temporary arrangement could have been made but she didn't even consider that. She only thought of herself and what she would get out of the decision.

Great Amish Story
I read book four first and loved it. So I went back to read the ones I missed. This was as good as number four and I loved every page of this heartwarmimg Amish love story. So sorry the time it took the read it.

Hannah's character seemed a bit whiny thru-out. It seemed to always be (in my opinion) Oh woe is me. Wishy-Washy.

Ah, the perils of second chance romance! Be prepared to have your tummy tied up in knots as you navigate your way through the complicated twists and turns of Hannah's messy life. She's dealt with a lot since she left her Amish community in Pontotoc, Mississippi (love the unusual setting!) Now she's headed home after a fifteen year absence -- virtually penniless and with a sullen teen in tow. Talk about abounding angst!
The conservative Old Order Amish community Hannah wanted to escape as a teen has now become her haven - a place where she can regroup and figure out what's next in her life. And maybe breech the ever widening gap between her son and herself. What she hadn't counted on was her first love, Aaron Zook, being a widower or her family throwing the two together in hopes of urging Hannah back to the fold.
There's such sweet agony as feelings reawaken even though it seems hopeless. There's no way to bridge their Amish and Englisch worlds and meet all their family obligations. I was on tenterhooks trying to figure out how Lillard was going to make this romance work. It isn't a perfect ending...but it's a good one.

Hannah becomes "confused" as to whether she wants to move on from Pontotoc and make a new life for her in Brandon in another town and or stay in Pontotoc and face her feelings towards Aaron and a secret that she has been hiding for fifteen years . How is Brandon adjusting with a life without electricity, his cell phone and other electronics and modern conveniences that he was accustomed to .
A Home for Hannah is a story of romance, trust and having faith. Amy Lillard did a excellent job in developing the characters in A Home for Hannah and I am looking forward to reading the second book in this new series.

When Hannah sees Aaron she realizes that her "feelings" for Aaron are still there; but first she must consider her son, Brandon's well being, before her own.
Hannah becomes "confused" as to whether she wants to move on from Pontotoc and make a new life for her in Brandon in another town and or stay in Pontotoc and face her feelings towards Aaron and a secret that she has been hiding for fifteen years . How is Brandon adjusting with a life without electricity, his cell phone and other electronics and modern conveniences that he was accustomed to .
A Home for Hannah is a story of romance, trust and having faith. Amy Lillard did a excellent job in developing the characters in A Home for Hannah and I am looking forward to reading the second book in this new series.
I highly recommend A Home for Hannah.

Amy Lillard has a way of writing that makes one not want to put the book down. Her Amish of Pontotoc series brings us to Mississippi. We meet Hannah McLean as she and her angry teenager are heading back to her hometown. Not sure if she will be welcomed or shunned, Hannah has no other place to turn. Will her family allow her to return? Will her community accept her? Most importantly will her first love still be there?
This book brings out many feelings. We see love, forgiveness, anger, and acceptance. Hannah is on a long journey back to a life she wanted to leave but longed to be a part of. Her journey is one many take in trying to discover where you actually belong. I highly recommend this book and look forward to the next. I received a copy from Netgalley. A HOME FOR HANNAH by Amy Lillard is a poignant Second Chance Romance which takes widow, Hannah McLean and he teenage son, back to her old order Amish community she left fifteen years before.

Hannah and Aaron and Brandon have stolen my heart and I cannot wait to read book #2 in this New Series by Amy Lillard. As a member of Amy's team I received a copy of this to read in exchange for an HONEST review of the book. I can honestly say that Amy has once again delivered the beginning of this new series with a page turner. I loved every page and every character in this book. Once again she has me yearning for an Amish road trip to the place in the book .. Pontotoc, Mississippi. (And this time it is a REAL location). If you are a fan of Amish Fiction and detail you will not be disappointed. Grab your copy and snuggle up with that cup of tea and enjoy your trip to Mississippi.

This one dragged on a little too long for my liking. I felt like she dragged her feet too long in making a decision and felt like the decision were completely up to her. I don't know why she didn't consult her son sooner ... just dragged on and on.

When Hannah shows back up in Pontotoc those thoughts go in to overdrive but can he risk trusting her again?
I absolutely loved A Home for Hannah! Amy Lillard crafts a story that hooks you from the get go and is full of twists and turns you can't put it down until the very end! I've read my share of Amish stories, and have loved them all, but this one holds a special place in my heart. I feel it's a story we can all relate to, wanting to fit in, no matter where we come from. I love how she weaves bits of humor and sage advice throughout her stories. if you've never read an Amy Lillard novel you are missing out! I truly believe A Home for Hannah is a book that everyone can read and enjoy.

When I started the book I had two thoughts pop in my head. One was the saying, “You can never go home again,” and the other is “There is no place like home.” I know once I left home, I never wanted to return. There was nothing for me and I wandered lost in the world for many years. Hannah has come home to help out and I could feel her stomach as it did somersaults walking into her parents home. She has been gone for a long time and not everyone will be happy to see her. Can she regain the trust of her dat? Will the community welcome her home, or shun her until she asks for forgiveness?
It had to be a culture shock for her son Brandon. He must think he has traveled back in time, as he realizes there are no modern conveniences. His appearance will shock a few but he does have a stubbornness to him which I found to be endearing. Brandon has a lot to deal with and maybe by playing it cool he can hide in the background. The author knows how to write stories that tug on your heart and I wanted to hug Hannah and Brandon.
Aaron is a hard working man who has been in love with Hannah for a long time. He sure was surprised to see Hannah come home. I could feel the tension between the two when they first see each other. How would you feel if you ran into someone from your past? Can Aaron forgive Hannah from leaving him so long ago? Things have really changed in Aaron’s life and Hannah will have to make some hard decisions.
I loved how the story was about second chances and forgiveness. Hannah has walked away from her faith and will have a hard time allowing herself to heal. I was in for a big shock in the story and never saw it coming. The author is a master storyteller with wonderful characters and a theme that whispers of grace and compassion. I am honored that I read a book that captured real problems with answers that came from prayer and family. Can you really go home again? Find out in this first in the series from an author that keeps me coming back for more books from her.

I instantly fell in love with the Amish of Pontotoc series from the very first chapter of A Family for Gracie (Book 3), so I was very excited to read the rest of the series in order.
The story opens with a bang. Even though I already knew the ultimate outcomes for Hannah, Leah, and a bit of Tillie's stories, the details were very different from what I expected.
The only reason A Home for Hannah isn't getting five solid stars—instead of getting a rounded-up 4.5—is because the teenage son with the lip ring had the dialogue of an '80s after-school special.
I'm starting Leah's story at the stroke of midnight!
Recommend to others: Yes. This series is more fun than authentic, and that's okay.

It looks like Tillie's story is happening in the background the entire time. I already read book three, so I know what happens to her, but I didn't know it started this early. Finally, I'm hoping every story does not have a widow/widower plot, cause that's going to get old fast. Other than that stuff, I'm enjoying the story.

I loved this book. Read it in a day, mostly in one sitting. Hannah reminded me a little bit of the prodigal son. Left the Amish life she knew simply because she got caught up in the world. Finding out that she's a widow, you obviously feel sorry for her. But as the story continues, and you find out more about her husband, your sympathy reaches a new level. But here's the thing. Hannah is strong. I loved her interactions with her family upon her return. But the interaction I enjoyed most was with Aaron.
The Amish stories I enjoy most are when Englishers are involved, and technically Hannah is one of them in this book. It's like the forbidden fruit, Aaron knows he shouldn't be drawn to Hannah and yet he is. As a reader, you obviously want them to get together, but it's figuring out how. Should Aaron become an Englisher? Or should Hannah return to her Amish roots? Seeing them interact and figuring it all out was the fun part of the story.
But then, Amy Lillard adds another level to the story and one that I didn't expect. You get to see the POV from Hannah's son, Brandon. Seeing the Amish world through his eyes was like experiencing it myself. It was all new to him, and as he took it all in I couldn't help but connect with him. I would have felt the same way at times, and found this new point of view to be refreshing.
This book is a fast and enjoyable read. Fans of Amy Lillard and Amish fiction fans will enjoy it. I cannot wait to visit Pontotoc again in the next installment! I received a complimentary copy of this book. I was not required to write a favorable review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This was my first book by Amy Lillard. It wasn't terrible. Her writing style was different than what I was used to—it was a bit of a jarring jump from lighthearted to bleak and gloomy. It wasn't bad, just different.
I said in my last review that I appear to have an aversion to Hannahs, and I think that that unfortunately applies to this book as well. A lot of this book consists of Hannah being indecisive. She thinks and she talks and she thinks some more and nothing ever gets solved. If she ever just talked to people, she might have come to a decision a lot sooner.
If you hate yourself, play this game: take a shot every time Hannah refuses to talk about something, deflects a question by saying "It's complicated" and then not explaining anything, or has the same conversation with three different people while not solving a single thing.
I will admit that I was somewhat surprised by the mention of technology in this book. The cover seriously looked like something straight out of the late 2000s, so I was very surprised to see that this book was published as recently as 2018. Brandon's shock at the ancient computers in the library made me smile. I love old computers and actually have a twenty-pound Windows XP laptop in my room that I still use every now and then. If only it actually connected to the Internet...
I think that this book has fried my brain. Hannah thought in circles so much that my review has now come out like that. Frankly, I'd say skip this one. Also, that ending was really rushed.

This was a different type of Amish story from most I've read. Amish do have problems just as non-Amish, it's just usually handled within their community and their church. All Hannah wanted to do was just get a little taste of the "English" world before joining the church. But when she was ready to return things happened that kept her from returning. She waited 15 years before she came back to her Amish home. Her husband passed away and left her with no money. She spent time waffling back and forth about whether to return to her Amish upbringing and join the church or stay as she had lived for fifteen years. Her main concern was her son who had been raised in the English world with electricity, electronics, cars and phones. That's all he had known. And of course there was a man that Hannah had been in love with when she left. How had his life changed over the years?
It's hard to imagine living that long without any contact with parents and siblings other than a handful of letters. Reconnecting with God was difficult too. Hannah felt like God wasn't listening to her when she did try to begin praying once again. Lying had become as natural to her as breathing. How can this tangled web of lies ever get straightened out?
I found myself asking these questions as I read along. At times the situation seemed almost impossible, but with God all things are possible.
Since this is the first in a new series, I hope I hear more about this family and get to invest some time in their lives.

One thing I love about Amy Lillard is her ability to make places come alive. It's one thing to have a good story line, but breathing life into the background it's set in really brings the story to life and adds an extra dimension. After diving in you really felt drawn into Pontotoc. The town lived.
Hannah's son, Brandon, really stood out in the story. His story line was really strong and powerful. I'm hoping he will be in other stories in the series. I also really liked the bishop. He was a pretty smart guy and for a minor character, stole a lot of the scenes.
Hannah's biggest problem is wanting to control all of the situations she is in. She's been hurt so often, trust is hard. You see throughout the story that God is there, gently guiding her. Characters are put in her path throughout the book that light the way.
The book moved at a really good pace until we got to the end. I felt like it was a little rushed and there were still some things that didn't get resolved. I'm hoping they tie together in the second book.

I love the twists, turns this story has to offer.
I love the old saying There's no place like home!!It's so very
true in my case. Ohio is my home. I never wanted to leave it. But that was my dad's decesicion and no one else had a say in it.
I'm somewhat like Brandon. Changes doesn't come easily to me.

hard to get adjusted to new things
For a shy person like me, it's hard to make friends. It's why i love my orchestra group and reading takes me to many different worlds.

In A Home for Hannah, Amy Lillard brings to life the struggle of a single mom who left her Amish faith fifteen years ago for the English world. Hannah McLean has to return home after her unfaithful husband dies without any money and few possessions due to his extravagant spending. Pontotoc, Mississippi is exactly like she remembered and so is lost love, Aaron Zook.
Aaron is not sure how to take the news of Hannah’s return. He has always loved her even though he moved on and married and raised a family with another woman. Now left a widower and taking care of three children, he is unsure what to do.
Hannah and Aaron have many obstacles and decisions ahead of them, but one thing is for sure, they never quit loving each other.
Amy does an amazing job with this story. I felt so much emotion, that I honestly had to put the book down at times. I loved the message in the end that once we let go and let God take control of our life, then everything has a way of working itself out in the end. I hope this wasn’t the end for Hannah and Aaron.
There is so much more I could say about this book, but I do not want to leave any spoilers. Add this book to your must-read list!!!

A Home For Hannah is the first book in a new series by Amy Lillard. Amy Lillard is an exceptional author and writes about the Amish of Pontotoc, Mississippi in this brand new series.
Hannah has been away from the Amish community for fifteen years. Fifteen years ago she wanted a taste of the English world, but had not expected to leave for good. She has a wonderful Amish family, and at the time she also was in love with Aaron Zook. She wanted to see what the outside world had to offer. It was not the life she was expecting. Fifteen years later she is now widowed and returning to Pontotoc with her teenage son. What is revealed in the rest of the story will surprise you. Will Hannah ever truly find a forever home where she feels like she belongs?
I really enjoyed reading about the Amish of Pontotoc, Mississippi. Amy Lillard does a great job bringing the characters to life. They experience circumstances that we can all relate to including guilt, forgiveness, faith, hope and love. Once you start reading this book, you won't be putting it down anytime soon!

A Home For Hannah is such a good family story, a mother and son, a father and three small children. Then there is A Mother and Father and their daughter who left for the Englisch world who has come back and wants to be accepted. Then there is true love. You have first love who was and then wasn't and then they both got married to others and both lost them and now have found each other again - isn't that awesome? Is that love going to rekindle? especially with children involved and with Hannah being in the Englisch world? Will Hannah's family accept her and her son, being that she went to that world? This is such a book of love and a great book of the beginning in the Pontotoc Series and I cannot wait until the second one comes out and I pray for the privilege to be able to read that one as well. I received a copy of this book from the Publisher and Netgalley; all the opinions expressed in this review are all my own.

Choices from the past affect their future...
For several years now Amy Lillard has been one of my main go-to Amish fiction authors so I was pretty excited to find out that she had a new series coming out, A Home For Hannah being the first book. One of the things I like about her books is that she writes about Amish communities in locations that we wouldn't traditionally think of as Amish, this time in Mississippi.
While I am in a much different season of life than Hannah and Aaron, Amy Lillard painted them in such a sympathetic light that I was totally invested in their story, their circumstances, the choices they made. Even when I had to go about other things I found myself thinking, and wondering, about the characters and what might happen next.
It really didn't take me long to read A Home For Hannah, as with most Amy Lillard books, and I definitely enjoyed my time in Pontotoc. If you are an Amish fiction fan this is a series to check out!

Can you imagine not seeing your family for fifteen years? This is what happened to our heroine Hannah, and then to her son, but circumstances upon circumstances thwart any return previously.
The author has emphasized the theme of forgiveness, a part of your faith in God, easy to say, but very hard to truly do. Now our girl appears to have a foot in both worlds, and each are pulling on her, how can she decide, and yet her loves need her.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and we see all of the characters being pulled in different directions, and yet they never waver in their faith in God.
Watch as big secrets unfold, and then see how each of these characters are able to deal with the bombshells, some you will never see coming.
Big tangled web here, and it seems impossible to untangle, is there any possibility?

"A Home for Hannah" by Amy Lillard is the first book in the (Amish of Pontotoc) series.
Amy writes a story that readers will have no trouble liking. The scenes are written so well that readers can pretend that they are watching the story take place and not reading it.
This is a story about a second chance at love.
This story has all the elements that readers of the Amish genre loves, girl leaves and is gone for 15 years but comes back with a son and is a widow.
This story is really Hannah and Aaron's and Brandon story.
How does someone that was raised Amish and then leave, come back and fit in, and how does a teenage boy that knows nothing about the Amish survive forced to go to live with the Amish?
I had to finish the book as soon as possible because I wanted to know how it ended up and I am eagerly awaiting book 2.
