Missing a lot to the story....like half the story. Felt more rushed than the other junior novels but makes sense since the targeted audience is children. The missing second half of the story was the big part of Spider-man’s story in the movie (which is what this book is suppose to be based on.)

This book was pretty much a quick narration of the movie, but I still enjoyed it as a refresher with a few different convos and thoughts Peter had. See how it could be a popular mid-school book.

Spider-man is a great book because it shows a neighborhood kid can be whatever he wants. Because the reason spider-man has a mask and shows no skin is so that every kid big and small can believe he or she is spider-man. Spider-man is about a neighborhood kid who gets powers and becomes a hero and how he learns to be a better hero. The theme is that you have to do everything in your power to make the people around you happy. A dynamic character was spider man because he had to learn and level up or grow. A static character is Ned because he always acted the same even though everything he learned. I rated this book a 5/5 because it was a great read and it helps kids learn and maybe if they have bullies learn to stand up for themselves.

I only picked up this book because I was babysitting and they wanted to listen to a Spider-man story while falling asleep. It's basically a the Spider-Man: Homecoming movie turned into a book.

However, about 60% of the story is missing. Since it's the audiobook, I didn't even realize I was at the end until the credits started playing and I was confused as to where the rest of the story was. It only covers the story up until when Peter rescues the team during the Washington Monument scene. Kind of confused as to why.

Overall, the narration and writing was decent. At times I was convinced Chris Evans was the narrator, especially when voicing Happy Hogan. If your kid likes Spider-man and needs a distraction, be sure to pop this on, but as a grown Marvel fan, it's a bit of a let-down.

i believe this is moreso marketed towards little kids so i won't be extremely annoying, it's enjoyable but it's just missing so many things. it missed almost 45 minutes of the movie including the *big fight*. i wish this was written like the raimi novelization books, and went more into depth about characters along with even new dialouge. other than that it was a pretty good easy to follow along book version of the events that happened in hoco !

I read this book after I watched the movie, but it still is very enjoyable.I extremely like the plot of the story, and I like how it is very relatable to me,since I am a student as well.I always loved Spider-Man movies and novels,so this one is no exception.I also like how Iron Man is always being like a father to Peter, and caring for him a lot,and also helping him when he is in need.

Unfortunately this book was very unsatisfying, if you've seen the movie. A HUGELY important part of the plot is missing, so selling it as the junior companion novel to the movie is fairly misleading...

This was a quick romp through the movie. It hit all the high points and action sequences, but didn’t really focus on the characters. Great for kids that live movies and their parents want to transition them into reading.

Pretty much reenactment of the movie, but I guess that is what it was supposed to be. Spoiler alert-it is missing quite a bit of the movie. It seems to be rushed through like it had a limited amount of space to fit it all in. Overall, a decent read especially if you enjoy the avengers.

It's an audiobook covering the first half of the movie. I wasn't impressed with the movie (played too broadly for laughs) and was even less impressed with this two hour audiobook. Not recommended.

It's not the entire movie. Several scenes are different and just about the second half is not included, but it's an interesting story told primarily from Peter Parker's perspective.

Quick and simple. I guess I should see the movie now. Definitely a book for a younger audience.

The movie was better but it was good for being a junior novel based on the movie

Ending at the Washington Monument makes no sense unless you change the whole structure of the book. No closure with Toombs or Stark even though those stories were prominent early on. Too bad, because I thought it was very well written for a junior novel.
