Elsewhere is a prose poetry project about the push of wanderlust and the pull of homesickness. The ghosts of women from ancient Greek mythology serve as a backdrop for this story. They are wandering women who also have many things to miss.
Emma Shi studied Classics at Victoria University of Wellington. She was the winner of the National Schools Poetry Award 2013 and the Poetry NZ Prize 2017. Her work has also been published in literary journals such as Landfall.
