This was much betterthan Book 1 of the series. Good action and suspense. A mystery that I thought I had figured out, but didn't. Complicated for an MC novella. No endless angst rumination.
Proofreading issues seem to mostly gone in this book, leaving only a couple of sentences that should have been cleaned up.

Austin is not a bashful man, even when he gets caught by his woman's mom, “hey, I’m not ashamed. I have a beautiful woman in front of me and I’m gonna kiss her,” Austin says grinning big. " I loved this book, Austin was sweet, protective, caring amd really sexy.

This is the second book in the Ruthless Rebels MC -- and awesome writing team of Chelsea and Ryan have not let us down. Andrea and Shamus. (By the way you will get first hand knowledge of why Shamus has his nickname which you also learn in the first book but no worries you will hear it again!) Each book can be read as a standalone but I recommend clicking it up as well. Both covers knock you off your feet.
Andrea or Drea found her love in the man she left behind. Giving him not a second look she left. Now finding herself in a war ridden zone following a story that just doesn't sit right has her on edge. Tragedy strikes and Andrea finds herself back home -- the last place she ever thought she would be. Her mom has done all she can to provide but its time for her to get back out there. Thank goodness for the paper and her new found friend Kenderly.
Shamus -- oh man oh man. You talk about a scorned knight riding on a shiny Harley. Austin Fletcher doesn't understand why Drea walked out except for that she felt he was nothing and she was something he couldn't be for her. He lost himself in a woman he thought would be forever. HIs hardened heart wont break this time. Or maybe a second chance is on the horizon. Lurch is a smart man. His words sink in deep. Maybe its time -- and protecting her might be the glue to seal the deal.
This is a very emotionally charged book that gives you a very small look into what those who are affected by war go through. Very small .. let me stress that but it does hit on some key things. I love the family loyalty the Ruthless Rebels have for each other. DJ shows up in this story as well along with a few other characters that I know we will come to love more than we already do. Kenderly and DJ are a million dollar couple in love and happiness. Book One friends -- get it!

First off I love this little series so far. Each book has been action packed and very entertaining. I enjoy both authors and their styles together are amazing. Shamus and Andrea have that whole first love always love thing going and its so damn awesome. Their connection is very intense. Its emotional.
Andrea was once on top of the world until a tragic accident brings it all back down on her. She is one strong woman to have endured what she did and is moving forward in life. I admire her strength so much! Shes tried like hell to move on from Shamus but he will always be her first love. The one that hurts the most. The one that takes your breath when ya see him. Shamus is a cocky man! Freakin sexy as sin. When he decides he wants something... well its gonna happen one way or another. Come hell or high water. Another good MC romance from Chelsea Cameron & Ryan Michelle
A second chance romance, with an Alpha male who won't be letting his woman getting away a second time.
Austin and Andrea were teen loves before Austin who is now Shamus joined the Rebels MC.
This is one of those love story's were a misunderstanding had torn them apart and 10 years later discover the love never died.
Scorned has an interesting plot told in dual pov's an MC read that is based more about the family of the MC and what is going on in the lives of the characters unlike some MC reads that has an element of darkness with bloodshed,angst and danger, although I do love those kind of MC reads too.
Great characters, Andrea is back from being an investigating reporter in a war zone and someone is out to get her and Shamus won't be letting anything happen to his woman, he has lost her once and it won't be happening again.
Contains swoon worthy Alpha male, action,hot moments and is a great series to follow.

This is the 2nd book in the Ruthless Rebels MC series and so far I like the series. They are short but enjoyable reads.
Austin and Andrea were high school sweethearts until a misunderstanding tore them apart. Andrea left town to chase her dreams of being an investigative reporter ripping out Austin's heart in the process. But tragedy strikes while Andrea is out on assignment which forces her to come home. However, trouble follows her. Austin claims her and him and his brothers’ fight to protect what is theirs...her, because now she is family.
I love second chances and the ones who are brave enough to take them.
I’m a woman scorned, scarred, and scared, but I’m not a woman who’s willing to walk away from second chances.

Wow just wow! This book was so great, it had so much heart and romance, drama and mystery. Andrea and Austin aka Shamus, were the real deal second chance romance couple! Separated as young adults over a miscommunication as so happens with being young and dumb and jumping to conclusions before knowing the full story. Andrea searches for her dream only to end up in a web of lies and deceit with crazy a$$ witches! Through everything Austin is Andreas rock he's solid and strong and definitely fits the alpha mc biker persona! This mc family is brilliant and I can't wait to read who finds love next in the Ruthless Rebels MC! I wish these books were longer but luckily character continuation so you get updates on everyone!

This book is about Shamus and Andrea. They were high school sweethearts, but then Andrea left to become a journalist and she just wanted to get out of her town. Or was that really her reason.
Shamus can't believe that Andrea is back in Town, after she left wanting to go on to bigger and brighter things. But Andrea came back to Town after she had a terrible accident, and now it looks like she is being targeted again. And this time he will protect his women and fight for her.
I loved this one, especially Shamus! He didn't even know what happened to her or what is about to happen to her and he just decided that he wants her back and took on all of her problems.
Can't wait to read the rest of this series!

All it takes is one stilted meeting, and Drea finds herself drawn back to Austin, but he's Shamus now and the Ruthless Rebels are all at her back. And he's taking this second chance, she's his woman and nothing is going to hurt her again.
Shamus is a story of guy dealing with a broken heart, when the chance to try again comes alone, he grabs, it with no intention of ever letting go.
A wonderful love story. A super, sexy, alpha male still in love with his teen sweetheart. Classic!

Misunderstandings, jumping to conclusions and stubbornness have kept this couple apart. When Andrea returns to town she has survived a horrible injury and will never be the same. She doesn’t want help from Austin, she doesn’t want anything to do with him, but when she is attacked he is done playing games and gets his woman back. The action and chemistry is not lacking in this book either and the twist we get is one I didn’t see coming just adds to the storyline.
I am really looking forward to more from this series and want books for all the guys. Another one that needs to be on your TBR lists for sure!

Book two in this series is a second chance romance as circumstance brings together high school sweethearts to work out their history. Having left for the bright lights of something better than a small town could offer Andrea finds herself home again after a work related accident has left her with life long battle scars. Struggling to come to terms with her new reality she slowly explores her new smaller world, quickly becoming the best of friends with none than Kenderly, the leading lady of book one. Andrea soon learns of the connection between her first love and the MC and struggles to overcome the pain of the past. Until he finds her on the street dazed and confused...

This is the second book in the Ruthless Rebels MC Series and it's about Andrea and Austin aka Shamus and their path to a second chance for their love story. At first when I finished reading Shamed which is the story between Dixon aka DJ and Kenderly aka Kenie and Andrea made her appearance, I was intrigued by the aggressiveness that Shamus showed towards her and now I know why by reading their following story. I can understand how Shamus felt when the love of his life left him like Andrea did. I felt his pain and the betrayal and what pissed me off the most was that it was all for nothing. She misunderstood what she heard, didn't let him explain and pretended like he meant nothing to her and left him. I can understand that she felt hurt when she heard her Austen talking about her virginity to DJ but she acted on her hurt feelings and hurt him back thinking he didn't care about her. They spent 10 years apart all because of miscommunication and being too young to understand what they should have expressed to one another. During those years, Austen tried everything to fill in the black hole Andrea left him with, with lots of women but that didn't work. He never stopped loving her, even if he tried denying it to himself. She was the one who stole his heart and never gave it back. Understandable that he would react like he did when she came back, especially how she left him with the believe that she left because she wanted more of life than living in their small city. Andrea also didn't have it easy when she left because she thought that Austen had used her only to get her virginity. She lived to make a name for herself in the journalism world which ended to be her curse when a crazy family ordered the ambush that got her friend killed and her in the hospital for several months with surgeries and a diagnose that was like a life sentence (brain injury that would cause her a lot of discomforts as long as she lived, it was sad to read how she felt when she a very,very bad headache) I loved that when Austen (Shamus) found out about what happened to her, his first instincts were to protect her and when danger came to find her again, he stepped up to protect his woman, his kitten and that means annihilate anyone that dared to even harm a hair on her head. I loved that after finding out the truth of what caused their separation, they didn't waste any time making up for lost time (meaning lot of sexy and sweaty times together. I was sad to read at the end, that due to Andrea's injuries she wouldn't be able to get pregnant and give her Austen children, but Austen didn't care about that as long as she was alive and healthy, he only needed his kitten :) Can't wait to continue reading the next book in the series, let's see who's next in claiming his woman and happy ever after :)

Excellent MC read. Shamus and Drea have history but Drea had big dreams and left Shamus broken. Now she's back and he knows he still wants her but now she's broken. He vows to put her back together and keep her forever. I recommend this one.
Excellent MC read. Shamus and Drea have history but Drea had big dreams and left Shamus broken. Now she's back and he knows he still wants her but now she's broken. He vows to put her back together and keep her forever. I recommend this one.

Scorned is the second in the Ruthless Rebels MC series by Chelsea Camaron and Ryan Michele. I loved this book and read it straight through in one sitting.
It was entertaining, well written, well developed and suspenseful. I liked the premise of the story. Mixed into the second chance theme and MC action, Camaron and Michele tackle the difficult world of TBI. Parts of the storyline are troubling, yet it's plausible and presented a nice backdrop to the plot. I loved that the authors didn't gloss over some of the real issues of TBI, yet found a way to live a somewhat normal life.
Austin "Shamus" Fletcher and Andrea Lynn Davies. They were high school sweethearts with the world ahead of them together. And then they weren't. Hard feelings and lost love, Andrea left their small town and didn't look back. Shamus patches into the Ruthless Rebels MC and moves on with his life. Fast forward several years when a tragic accident brings Andrea home and they are forced to live in the same small town again.
I liked the storyline. The authors captivated me from the beginning and kept me intrigued until the end. It had a flare of mystery, wasn't predictable and had a nice twist for the conclusion. I also loved how they addressed the past misunderstanding without jumping over it too soon or dragging it out. It was the perfect goldilock's moment.
There were a few editing errors, such as duplicate words; however, as I got further into the book, those errors seemed isolated to only a few near the beginning.
The authors have done a great job developing the characters of the MC family and setting the stage for future books in the series. The twins, Skinny and Triple Threat, will capture the next two books, Scarred and Schooled, respectively. I can't wait!

A quick read with drama with each page turn.
Love brought them together - misunderstandings tore them apart.
Even with our eyes, sometimes what we think we see isn't really what we saw at all.
Austin aka "Shamus" is part of the Ruthless Rebels MC where he finds friends, loyalty and family.
Andrea pursues her dreams of becoming an investigative reporter. She discovers it's not all that she dreamed it to be.
The cold, hard facts are not easy to find and they scratch and fight their way through all the obstacles along the way to uncover it.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and the insights/awareness it brought for someone with brain injuries. I really liked the fact that Chelsea Camaron and Ryan Michele did not fall into the pitfall of a lovey dovey HEA - the fact remains that not all bad can be forgotten - not all injuries can be fixed, yet EVERYONE deserves to love and be loved in return.

I was a little scared reading Scorned. 1st, I didn't connected with Shamed story's characters. They just plainly annoyed me and I found lots of faults with them, that didn't got taken cared of in my opinion. 2nd, I'm not exactly a fan of second chances stories. But I gave this a chance, because these two authors isn't new to me. I enjoyed theirs work before.
So, the 2nd book did a trick. I liked it more then the 1st one. The story caught me from the first chapter. There is a little mystery going on, that will make you question what the hell is going on. And I'm sure you will be as clueless as I was until the end.
I did connected with Shamus and Andrea. They both were great. Especially Shamus. He was something special. Shamus was your sexy, tattooed and protective biker, that you just want to climb like a tree and chain him to your bed. Lol.
And after some little snippets of some bikers, I so looking forward to get a ride with them.

I’m always a sucker for second chance romance and this one didn’t disappoint. Andrea and Austin were young and in love, but then something happens and Andrea leaves town determined to make it big as an investigative reporter. Tragedy strikes while she's on assignment and brings her back to the hometown she’s spent the last ten years avoiding because of him. Finally seeing each other after years apart still leaves them both breathless and realizing that love still runs deep. This book kept me turning the pages because I just HAD to know who was after Andrea. It’s raw and gritty, full of suspense, and an Alpha male that will make you swoon. Another good read in the Ruthless Rebels MC series by two fantastic authors!

An action and angst packed short book about a damaged (both physically and emotionally) woman who returns to her past and revisits an old love, who has undergone quite a few changes himself. There was a mystery surrounding some unfortunate accidents and deaths and when Shamus (Austin) shows up to help his old (and first) love Andrea out of a jam, it's sparks all over again and a second chance with dangers that neither one could see coming.
I love these two authors separately and together they write biker romance magic. I can't wait to read more from this duo!

Wow, I had been waiting for book two and wasn't disappointed.
I feel in love with Shamus, he is a proper Alpha male and he defends what he loves and doesn't let his past get him down. He built himself up and he fights for what he wants.
I loved Andrea, even though she went through a lot with what happened and is going through her injury she still wants to do the job she loves.
This is such a brilliant love story, I couldn't put it down from page one.
Bring on book three. Chelsea Camaron and Ryan Michele out did themselves.

I can't understand why I have not cared for either of the books in this series since I enjoy reading both of these authors' individual books. Both of the books in this series seem to be written by an author is who new. They feel more YA/NA and the plot and editing leave much to be desired IMO. I see that the books have gotten a lot of good ratings, so it may just be me. With that said I won't be reading anymore in this series.

I loved Shamus. Full of mystery, had me guessing the whole book what would happen. I enjoy these types of books, becaude they are not too long and they keep you hooked til the end of the story. The series keeps getting better!!!! I love Ryan and Chelsea and their writing style, and together, its awesome!!!!

Danger and intrigue are back in the 2nd installment to the Ruthless Rebels series by Chelsea Camaron and Ryan Michelle. I normally do not like the others books in a series as much as the first, but I have to say that while SHAMED set the standard, SCORNED burned the standard and set a new one. There are twists and turns that I did not see as I was reading and I thoroughly enjoyed that. The interactions between the characters are poignant yet sizzling and the characters are very memorable. I can definitely say that I can’t wait for the next installment to come out. SCORNED is a great edition to this amazing new series.

This was my first read from authors Chelsea and Ryan together and it was good. Andrea and Austin where so much in love in High School and thought they could survive anything; after giving Austin her virginity she over hears him saying things she could never forget. Andrea goes off to college to become journalist and see the world and never to come home. Fast forward 10 years later tragedy hits Andrea while she out while getting a story she injured badly. Andrea force to come home because her injuries have left her not the same person she once was and she can no longer be out in the field. Austin knows Andrea home but has not had a run in with her yet, just her being the same town has reminded him that all of his feeling are still the same for her but he so angry how Andrea ended everything without even as to a why and can’t wait to have words with her. Andrea has done her best not to run into the boy she loved with all her heart; one day at lunch with her co-worker/friend Andrea see’s the one person she thought she could avoid and he very much not the boy she left behind Austin or Shamus now all man now. After verbal lashing on Andrea he soon learns that things aren’t what he thought they were with Andrea and why she was now home. When Shamus finds Andrea curled up on the side of the road he starting to see that he she needs him just as much as he needs her and the angry he was feeling towards her is soon gone and instinct to protect her takes over and he won’t take no for answer. Can Shamus protect Andrea from whoever causing her trouble? Can Shamus get Andrea to love him like they was before? Will Andrea let Shamus back in and make a new life with him? This was such a swoon read.

Andrea left home broken hearted in search of a career of investigative reporting. She got her wish and ended with severe injuries and the loss of a good friend and co-worker in a war-torn country. Back home, she is trying to deal with her condition in a job she has come to love. A new friend at work brings her to an encounter with the heartbreaker, Austin/Shamus, member of the Ruthless Rebels.
Austin didn't realize she was back. Was she still judgmental? Was he still not good enough? He'd changed. Had she? He didn't think so until he found her fallen and broken after a mugging. He takes her resisting to the club doctor and picks up her mother for their safety since the attacker has her identity and address information. Is it the beginning of a new chance for them? Could there have been a miscommunication all those years ago when they were so young?
When they finally talk, things are clear. She still doesn't want to make him deal with her physical issues that will be ongoing with no cure. Can he convince her that love is through all?
This is a touching story of misunderstanding and escaping rather than attempting to work through. Love is there forever and through everything. When danger steps in Austin and the club step up to find out who is behind it and to make sure they take care of her and hers as well as making the trouble go away.
Another winner. I'm on the book three. Each book stands alone and is about a separate couple in the club. The other characters show up in each book, however, it is not necessary to read them all. Just very enjoyable.

Her choices ended up her find herself in a war-torn country wondering what she is doing. After an accident, she as to come home and she dreads facing HIM. The boy. Now man, who broke her. Austin, ain’t no shame in his game. He loved Drea and wanted to spend the rest of his life with her. Then she leaves him and he is a mess. No one has ever been a right fit for him. Thanks to the guidance of his MC Brothers, he is going to make this 2nd chance count. He IS going to claim his woman.
I loved this story line. Besides the “will they or wont they get back together” there is the fear of who is trying to hurt Drea. Shamus will do everything in his power to make his woman safe. He will not fail her. When the story is revealed, I was like “Chelsea and Ryan, you beotches are CRAY CRAY to think this stuff up!!” To all you spoiler wanting people “ aint happening” is my reply. You just gotta rea this cray for your own dang self!
