Jesse Bond has his whole life together the night he goes to his high school reunion, but when his former bully, Hank Guest, appears and has the gall to be nice to him, Jesse's life gets thrown into disorder. To make matters worse, it appears the reason Jesse's tormentor from the past gave him such a hard time was because he was gay, a fact Jesse finds very hard to accept. But the two spend some time together, and Jesse comes around, until he finds himself fantasizing about the same person who used to terrify him. The two go on a date and have a wonderful time, but is there any chance for the two of them to have a real connection? Please Note: This book contains Adult Language & Steamy Adult Activities, it is intended for 18+ Adults Only. Novella, approx. 30,000 words in length. HEA (happy ever after ending). Podría haberlo disfrutado más, pero después de un inicio prometedor la cosa decae y además, Jessie es insufrible. :(

This is a lovely story; the high school bully stories are always interesting to find out why they go all Alpha; why they think they are better than anyone else and have that big chip on their shoulder.

Jesse Bond had had some very nasty things done to him by his bully, Hank Guest. The terrible things Hank did back in high school still caused Jesse to be uncomfortable in some situation, but he’s terrified and actually has a panic attack when Hank shows up at their high school reunion.

Jesse practically died when Hank came over to talk with Jesse to make amends for what he had done, but Jesse wanted nothing to do with Hank and brushes him off and to prove Hank had no control of his life he partied hard that night which he would not normally do. So Hank left and Jesse got hammered.

The next morning, with a wick hangover, he awakes wondering if it was worth it and discovers he had slept on his best friend’s couch. Suzy Heyns is Jesse’s best friend and has always help keep him together and to have fun.

As Jesse tries to get his head together Suzy hands him a note Hank had left for him before he left the reunion. Low and behold, Hank invites Jesse to come and see his show, “Drag Me Down” at a drag club named “Drag Extravaganza”. Suzy shows Jesse a video of Hank dressed up as Ginger Vitus and was shocked that Hank was gay, let alone the guy was gorgeous as a woman.

Jesse would have never guessed his tormentor was gay, but maybe that was why he beat on him in high school because Jesse was straight. Curiosity gets the best of Jesse and braves it and goes to the show. What he didn’t expect was that he would enjoy the drag show and to think that Hank was hot as Ginger. Dang if the man was perfect in both drag and a man. What Jesse was unaware of was when Hank “Ginger” calls him up to the stage and gives him a public apology.

Jesse has to tamper down all these emotions and not freak out by being embarrassed by this. Jesse finds out that Hank was now helping other kids to overcome their hostiles’ and bullying and Jesse was who had inspired him to do so. I’ll let you read the why behind his high school actions towards Jesse. The show was a benefit to help raise money for Hank’s work to continue on.

Hank’s honesty was a surprise to Jesse and from that point on, when Jesse forgives Hank, which the two try to start over to develop a friendship. Jesse and Hank had a long ways to go to build the basics of trust between them to have a real relationship and discovering that they both were extremely attracted to the other.

I was surprised how well Jesse accepted Hank being gay, but more so as a drag queen. But it seems Hank was gorgeous either way and Jesse came to love him as who he was. Hudson gives us many scenes with the two once being enemies in high school to becoming friends and friends to lovers. Reading the obstacles in the story that these two MCs had to overcome was both fun and exciting and held tension between them. But it only proves what forgiveness can bring.

I really, really liked the story. It’s another bully to friends’ story, but Max Hudson does an excellent job in writing it. I would think most readers would enjoy the story, so you might want to give it a chance and read it. ***I read a complimentary Advanced Reader Copy of this book & I am voluntarily leaving an honest and unbiased review. ***

*** A heartwarming straight-to-gay novella ! ***
Have you ever been to a class reunion? Jesse goes to his with his best friend Suzy.

Into the party, he looks up to see Hank, the last person he expected. He was the mean high school bully that tormented him for years. Why was Hank smiling?
After that encounter the two men talk and Hank is now a drag queen,
plus he runs a charity and works with youth. Jesse shows up at a show and is amazed at what he sees. Hank is gorgeous and talented.

All of these characters are lively and different. Jesse gets called up to the stage and Hank publically apologizes. His charity is BTC, Break the Cycle to stop bullying. The guys fell hard and fast into bed, which surprised me, because Jesse has never had sex, with anyone, ever. His first time seemed too easy to jump into. He was so willing and their connection wasn't deep yet. But, Hank stayed the night, was wonderful, and made breakfast. There are other bits happening, like Jesse's client that cheated on his wife, and Suzy's issues, plus the selling of Jesse's paintings. Jesse insults Hank and they don't talk for awhile, but time healed the wound.

This is an easy read, low angst and we get a happy ending, because the guys have grown closer and deeply emotional. The drag show, and Jesse's Karaoke were fun !
ENJOY !

This was another good story that this author has brought us. Jesse is a gay man who is not an upfront kind of man. His illustration clients come to him and he paints dark images from his head in his spare time. Going to their high school reunion with his best friend Suzy, He meets the one man he hoped to never see again. Hank is the bully from high school. Living in daily fear of being teased, tormented and sometimes physically abused, he had flashbacks of those times. Trying to avoid Hank, he finds it impossible. Once Jesse lets down his guard and lets Hank in, he finds that Hank"s life is nothing he could have imagined. Having fun together, Jesse tries to get over his old feelings, but it is hard and Hank tries to put Jesse at ease, because he really wants a relationship. Suzy the ever busybody, adds zest to the book. I really enjoyed the book and know that others will enjoy it too. I voluntarily read and reviewed this ARC book.

„Reunited” is a MM romance by Max Hudson.

I had a good feeling about this book after reading the blurb and I wasn’t disappointed. I love bully-to-lover trope - there’s something about giving someone a second chance (if warranted!!!)
This story was short, but well-paced. Main characters were both great - Jessie was a little bit shy, but adorable and Hank was fun and a great guy. I’m glad that Hank changed from a bully to decent human being. I really could see the change, so I was totally on board with Jessie giving him a chance to apologize.
All in all, it was a pleasure to read their story.

Oh, and did I mention that I love the cover! It’s awesome!

This is a short story based around Jesse who was bullied at school by Hank. At a school reunion some time later, Hank comes up to Jesse and apologises for his behaviour. Jesse is shocked to discover that Hank has become a drag artist called Ginger Vitus. Much to Jesse's surprise they soon become very close and Jesse, although he considered himself to be straight, falls hard for Hank. They have a serious falling out when Jesse calls Hank a hypocrite over Hank being in the closet to his colleagues. Will they ever make up?
This is a very good short story although I feel the ending was a bit abrupt.

I loved this story. Jesse and Hank met up again at a high school reunion not having a great relationship. Hank bullied Jesse. Then they meet again at the reunion and the begin a new relationship with each other. It turns into moe. Jesse was my favorite character. I think that he is relatable. I think that this is a sweet story. I think that the author gets better and better.

Good read

Jesse goes to his high school reunion and meets up with Hank who use to bully him in school. They put the past to rest and Jesse realizes he is attracted to Hank who is gay. Jesse has never been attracted to a man before. Everything happens at a believable pace.
The characters are well written and the story flowed smoothly.

I enjoyed the bumbling and stumbling that Jesse went through as he was introduced into the world of the fabulous Miss Ginger Vitus. Also, the overwhelming panic and fear leftover and still so intense from the awful bullying of Hank was so spot-on. All these details and more just really made the difference in making this a terrific read!

Something that should be discussed

Max has hit the nail on the head with this one; bringing to light the fact that labels handicap us all. Nobody should have to live confined to the box we are assigned or assign ourselves. Very sensitive, heart-worming, and positive. Reunited didn't leave me sad or sticky sweet. It left me feeling hopeful.

The Artist and the Drag Queen

I received an ARC from the author.

I liked the plot...it was fresh and innovative.
The main characters were likable, flawed and unforgettable.
Aaron...the jury is still out on him!
There was the possibility of a HEA which is always a good thing.

This story could have been so good, but the editing sucks. It confused me to no end when they would say one thing and then do the other.
