About the author

Erin Hunter is the pseudonym of five people: Kate Cary, Cherith Baldry, Tui T. Sutherland, Gillian Philip, and Inbali Iserles, as well as editor Victoria Holmes. Together, they write the Warriors series as well as the Seekers and Survivors series. Erin Hunter is working on a new series now called Bravelands.

Erin Hunter is inspired by a love of cats and a fascination with the ferocity of the natural world. As well as having a great respect for nature in all its forms, Erin enjoys creating rich mythical explanations for animal behavior, shaped by her interest in astronomy and standing stones.

I seriously need to reread these books again. I haven't read them in a good 10 or so years. These were right up there with Harry Potter.

Scourge is one of my favorites. You can't help but love him, even though he's a bit evil. ;)

Well, this was the wrap up of the first series around the Warrior Cats. Okay, you can say that I'm 'to old' to read them, but I don't care. I mean, there are cats in it! Sure, it's written for children around 10, but as an adult you get carried away in the adventures of Firestart and his Thunderclan. All the books are written with a high pace and adventures that keeps you on your toes, but I was really looking forward to the ultimate confrontation between Firestar and Tigerstar. Well, I'm not going to spoil it, but did that took a turn!
Of course Firestar needs to deal with tough decisions and responsablities regarding his leadership, but he's a tough cookie!
On to the second series!

Oh wow….

I didn’t expect the book to end like that. Tigerstar is a fool and got exactly what was coming to him when it was all said and done. Scourge was a time…..

I’m interested in knowing how his story will play in the future installments in the series. I don’t think this will be the last that we see of his handiwork even if he’s not present. I’m so proud of Firestar and everything he accomplished in this series. Though we follow other characters in future arcs, I’m super excited to see how everything plays out for him the future. We lose A LOT of characters through the course of these 6 books but surprisingly all of the death felt as though it was done with intention and purpose and not shock value.

I’m sad to come to the end of this arc but I’m really excited to see what the future holds for me with the rest of the series.

This book contains lots of action, and some romance. Bluestar has just lost the last of her nine lives and now Firestar is leader of ThunderClan, now that he has a solitary den his relationship with his clan-mate, Sandstorm, can disappear easily. But many more problems are coming to the forest. Now Tigerstar has combined ShadowClan with RiverClan to create TigerClan and is trying to get ThunderClan and WindClan to join TigerClan. Since both of the two clans refused, Tigerstar is forced to get a clan of rouges to help him take over the forest. When the new clan is introduced Firestar tells the leader, Scourge, of Tigerstar's treachery. As furious as any cat could be Scourge killed Tigerstar with a swipe of his claw. Well to much said already...Bye!!!

This book was great to read! It is part of the series WARRIOR Cats. In this book Firestar, starting out as a pampered house cat becomes leader of ThunderClan, and the time has come for him and his clan to fight a life or death battle for the future of the forest.
This Book was written by Erin Hunter. I really enjoy the way she writes, because she makes it seem as if you were in the story yourself, and even though it is all made up fantasy, she makes it seem as if it could actually happen in real life. That

Lo hice! Me armé de valor y terminé esta primera saga. Dios, definitivamente tiene un lugar especial en mi corazón. Es triste pero hermoso. En este último libro el futuro de todos los clanes esta por cambiar y "cuatro se tornará en dos". El ritual del líder es tremendamente emotivo y precioso. Es un libro con mucha acción desde el inicio. Me dejo claro otra vez el magnífico trabajo de investigación de las autoras.

Para ser honesta siempre que alguien me preguntaba que estaba leyendo me daba algo de vergüenza decir "Los gatos guerreros", no es un titulo que prometa tanto y hasta parece algo infantil. Pero eso no podría estar mas alejado de la realidad.

Los gatos guerreros es una saga que en principio da la idea de ser simple y con una trama disfrutable pero nada del otro mundo, pero al leerlo es fácil darse cuenta que no es así. No es solo que los personajes tienen que enfrentarse a problemas como pestes, incendios, traidores, hambruna y peleas entre los clanes constantemente; sino que este libro es capaz de transmitir una emoción tan grande que uno se siente dentro de la historia y sufre con ellos (yo personalmente llore durante casi toda la mitad del segundo libro).

La historia de la saga en general sigue a un gatito pelirrojo mascota que luego de conocer a un par de gatos salvajes decide ir a vivir con ellos, convirtiéndose en aprendiz de el clan del trueno, uno de los cuatro clanes del bosque.
Vivimos junto con este pequeño gatito como va tomando un lugar en el clan, como se relacionas con los miembros de este y los demás clanes. Como siendo un simple aprendiz cuya prioridad es cazar y ayudar a los veteranos, va subiendo de posiciones gracias a su valor, lealtad e inteligencia, donde lo abruman un sin numero de responsabilidades y problemas.

Es en momentos como estos donde la escritura brilla, es capaz de hacernos sentir todo lo que el protagonista siente.Sean momentos de tranquilidad, de estrés o tristeza no cuesta mucho ponerse en la piel de los personajes.

Los personajes también brillan por su excelencia, son reales, con personalidades únicas, y no tan humanizados como uno esperaría. La amistad, el odio y el amor que desarrollan entre ellos jamas se ve forzado, lo cual ayuda a que uno también forme lazos con los personajes.

En fin como cierre digo que es una saga que encanta de principio a fin, altamente recomendable, que no decepciona, tiene aventura, momentos tristes, felices, estresantes, incluso su dosis de romance. Así que si cualquiera esta e duda le digo que lea esta saga, que no va a decepcionarlo y muy seguramente llegue a ser de sus favoritos.

Se que no dije ningún nombre de personaje pero como una de las costumbres de los clanes es que al pasar de ser cachorro, a aprendiz y luego a guerrero, y que se yo, cambian de nombre, y se hubiera vuelto un lió. y se también que no di detalles sobre la trama pero como en mi opinión mas que una saga es un libro gigante, ya que al final de cada libro queda mas o menos abierto en espera de su continuación (aunque ya hayan solucionado algún conflicto especifico de ese libro).

Simplemente, lo, amé
Primera saga de los gatos guerreros, y quedé realmente fascinado. Desde luego que siguiendo por completo esta aventura, y cada que vayan saliendo libros corrreré como un loco a seguirlos, porque están de muerte. más que excelentes. Salvo los desvaríos y locuras de Estrella Azul que creo fue lo úinco que me desagradó, lo demás es simplemente genial. La evolución de cada gatito en su justa medida: traiciones, secretos, vamos... no hace falta más. Saga en la que carecen por competo de humanos, pero que realmente ni se ocupan, solitos hacen la historia. Y la forma de concluir estos primeros 6 estuvo muy buena y fue de una manera sorprendente. Ya no veré de la misma manera a los gatos, creo que ahora siempre que me topo alguno, no puedo evitar pensar en mis gatos guerreros.

An epic finish. Iconic. It’s interesting that technically, Firestar never faces his forever enemy in the end, that someone worse killed him, but Firestar’s victory over Scourge is so satisfying. I loved seeing Firestar gain his nine lives and also experience the loss of one of those lives; they’re epic scenes. The concentration camp scene is horrible and very impactful, and I liked seeing Leopardstar’s growth throughout the series. I will say that Tigerstar’s death is one of the more horrifically violent scenes I’ve read, definitely the most violent of any animal series, even though Wings of Fire and Redwall are more violent overall. As an adult, I also realize that Firestar and the other Clans fought to stay in the forest in this series but… well, if you’ve read the rest of it, that doesn’t exactly last. Technically they only delayed the plot of second series by a bit. Still, I adore this series and I’m so glad to have reread them.

The grand finale to the epic series. Well, at least the first series of books. I was disappointed by the last book, mostly because it revolved around a mystery that the readers knew the answer to from the beginning. This time it was done much better. The prologue has Tigerstar meeting a clan of cats from Twoleg place. This isn't planned as a mystery, and as such it puts us into a position where we know more than the characters. They know something bad is coming, we know a little more, but it still doesn't all fit together. After the events of the last book, Fireheart becomes Firestar, the new leader of Thunderclan. This is the completion of his journey from naive kittypet. He is one of the youngest leaders of a clan, and as such he has a lot to prove. What I really liked about Firestar in this book is his ability to completely take control of any situation, but still listens to those around him. He achieves his 9 lives in a beautifully written chapter. He is reunited with many lost friends in Starclan and it's so clear to visualise. The main plot focuses on the coming battle between Firestar and Tigerstar. Tigerstar is uniting the other clans in an attempt to rule the forest as one. Tigerstar exudes is cruelty in this book. He does some shocking things and starts to clear the forest of half breeds. All big events such as fires, floods, storms etc. have been swept aside, as each fight is filled with intensity and is emotionally stunning. All bets are off, and that's what you really need for a climax. The biggest shock came about 3 quarters of the way through. It was possibly the most shocking twist I have experienced in any medium. Very quickly everything these books have been about changes. It heightens the drama and makes it the most dangerous and engaging story yet. It ends with an emotionally satisfactory moment, which may be a good jumping off point for some, but I can't wait to start the next series of books.

Debo confesar que al empezar a leer esta saga de libros, mis expectativas no eran muy altas, esperaba una historia tierna y entretenida, pero me encontré con algo maravilloso, estructurado, muy bien logrado y que me llevo de un lado a otro; en muchos tramos de la historia, incluyendo este último libro estuve al borde del colapso. Le regalé un par de lágrimas a la historia.

Me enamoré de Carbonilla, Fauces Amarillas, Centella y Estrella de Fuego. Odié con el alma a Centeno y su detestable líder Estrella de Tigre. Recorrí todos y cada uno de los espacios del bosque. Me interné en las batallas y asambleas. Viví al máximo esta aventura. Fui feliz con ella.

Un cierre inesperado, una muerte, que como la mayoría en la historia quisiera borrar, y una lección de vida que llevaré conmigo: la lealtad nos hace grandes.

This is the sixth and last book in the Warriors series. It appears to be the first series of many about wild cats. With more than 300 pages, this is a great book for children to start expanding their reading comprehension abilities and challenging themselves with longer books.

I love books that get our girls excited to read and this series did that for our youngest. She is in love with this series! I like to read whatever they are reading, so we can chat about the stories and discuss the characters and plots.

This was a quick, entertaining and dramatic read. Despite the number of pages, I was still able to finish it in a short time. I find it interesting that this series is cowritten by a group of female authors who go by the pseudonym Erin Hunter. With four writers in the group, it certainly allows them to be prolific. There is more violence, danger, and treachery in this book than I expected, but with the sheer number of books, I suppose the authors have to keep the audience's attention somehow.

I am sure that our youngest will want to read all of the different Warriors series, and I will probably read them right along with her. I am starting to grow attached to the different characters and I'm beginning to care what happens to them. I'm not sure if I'll love the series, but I certainly like it. She's gotten a bit far ahead of me, so I have a lot of reading to do to catch up!

A disappointing ending to an otherwise surprisingly poignant series.

I'm wondering if a new author joined the circle of Erin Hunter when this book came along. It felt disconnected, maybe rushed, and lacked the depth and substance of character that makes the previous five books so captivating. There were also some painfully obvious, heavy-handed christianity themes present in this book that might not have been so distracting had the rest of it been a gratifying experience - but it wasn't. The entire series built up to a final showdown between Firestar and Tigerstar that never even happens. Instead, they introduce Scourge once during the prologue, for maybe a page, and the next time we see him he kills Tigerstar in one fell blow. I thought I could accept this, thinking maybe this was an in for an even deadlier and scarier villain, but instead Scourge dies too just a few chapters later. This useless character served as a deus ex machina to quickly write off Tigerstar's nine lives, as if the author(s) couldn't figure how else to do it.

Anticlimactic and very Hollywood - basically the book can be summed up as "Firestar and his warriors take back the forest and live happily ever after." It's particularly frustrating because the buildup was great - we had this running villain the readers grew to despise, and whom was so manipulative it seemed impossible to defeat him or outwit him at any turn. I can't understand why the arc was wrapped up so easily. Despite a shallow and abrupt ending, the rest of the series was never something I expected out of books about talking cats; fingers crossed that the next generation of books handles its conflicts a little better.

This book was a fabulous ending to the first series involving the lives of these wonderful warrior cats. I was going to buy the paperback copy of the next book in a week or so, but I can't wait so I've bought the ebook.
I was so shocked by the change of events towards the end of the book. I hated the way Stonefur died, he didn't deserve that. It reminded me a little of Harry Potter and how 'half-blood' children are looked down upon. And don't even mention Tigerstar's death. I hated him with everything I had, yet I felt the same sense of morbid grief that Firestar did. It felt like a whole chapter of the story had left. The end of Tigerstar's era. His death was such a shock to me, and I was crying when whitestorm died. Have a good time hunting with starclan, Whitestorm. :'(

Naprawdę spoko zakończenie, ale mam takie wrażenie, że ten tom jest trochę na siłę. Wydarzenia z końcówki ostatniego tomu były w punkt i spokojnie mogłoby się na tym zakończyć. Ogromnie podobała mi się cała ta akcja z Biczem, ale kurde, jakieś takie mega pospieszone to było - od znikąd pojawił się kolejny klan i zrobił rozróbę.

Jednocześnie jestem mega zadowolona, bo jednak siedziałam jak zaczarowana, nie chciałam przestać słuchać i generalnie uwielbiam tą serię. Ale z drugiej strony mam jakiś taki niedosyt i nie dziwię się, że tu jest tyle pobocznych serii, bo materiału jest od groma! Takie mini rozczarowanko też jest przez to tempo wydarzeń.

This was a satisfying and well-written end to an entertaining and thoroughly enjoyable series. I read these books because when they were really popular at my primary school I was too busy reading 'adult books' and I to see what I missed out on. I am happy I made the decision to read these books!
Now, I'm not sure if I am willing to put in the effort to continue reading the gazillion other titles in this universe but I'll think about it. I would recommend these books to anyone who enjoys middle-grade fantasy, cats, and adventure. All in all, a worthwhile time.

Final volume of the first series. Four became two and then two became one to battle the ultimate threat to the forest. The forest (naturally) was triumphant. I still find inconsistencies that appear to be due to so many authors but it's a good read, every time.

I don’t think I’ve ever read a series so fast. I’ve loved re reading this wild saga that I grew up enthralled with. It had everything; adventure, lies, traitors, battles, death, friendship, secrets! Such a fun and exciting escape.

Ever thought that having nine life was possible ? Bluestar has gone to hunt with star clan forever and the fall of one great comes the rise of another. Fireheart now with nine life and the new name of Firestar, has to uncover what Bluestar meant by "Four will become two. and Lion and tiger will meet in battle, and blood will rule the forest" if he is to save the forest form a darker, stronger and bloodthirstier force than any cat has ever seen or imagined. Tigerstar, who has not got his revenge is still hiding in the shadows with the heart of a lion. Firestar fears that Darkstripe will follow in his old friend's foot steps. Firestar was drinking fresh water when a reflection appeared but to his surprise it was a lion.



Fireheart, Graystripe and Ravenpaw watched helplessly as Stonefur was being torn apart as he refused to kill Graystripe's kits, to Graystripe's relief his kits were spared but not for long unless they are saved. Tigerstar the founder of Tigerclan gave Firestar and Tallstar an offer but with they deny and instead made a clan called Lionclan, Firestar thought that a battle was going to happen just like what Bluestar warned him but with a blink of a eye Tigerstar's plan backfired. Unfortunately with the faller of one leads to a ambition of another as Scourge the leader of Blood clan the backbone of Tiger clan intends to drive every clan out of the forest that was ruled by star clan. Firestar knew he had to do something or the all will have to leave the forest that was there by all rights and that's when Bluestar's words all made sense to him, so with the future all the clans of the forest in his paws he gathers all the clans and leads them in battle with Tiger clan. During the battle Firestar fought the Blood clan leader but then Scourge escaped, Firestar who was looking for Scourge found out that Whitestorm was on the brink of being reunited with Bluestar. At first it looked like Lion clan was winning Tiger clan but then in the drop of a hat things changed and Scourge had the upper hand in the battle, then Firestar spotted Scourge and without a warning Scourge bit in to his shoulders and landed a blow to Firestar's head. Will Firestar live on and fight or will Firestar see his plan get torn apart then die? Find out!!!!

This is one of the book where what you expectation is not realty and once you start reading you can never tear your eyes of it. I like this book as it shows that no matter what your roots you still will leave a great legacy behind and it will be remembered till the end of time. The only thing I did not like about the book was how the death was described so in dept, it might make some people feel uneasy but over all this was a great book and I could not drop it till I finished it.This book really had the twist and turns of a marvelous book, the action of a action book, the mystery of a mystery book and the imagination of a fairytale . I really think that this book was the right way to end the season.

Aaaaa kocham!!! Mega mnie boli serce, że to ostatni tom POV Ognistej Gwiazdy 😱 nigdy cię nie zapomnę Ognisty!!!!! To był zaszczyt śledzić twoje losy, od domowego kota Rdzawego, potem ucznia Błękitnej Gwiazdy Ognistą Łapę, po wojownika Ogniste Serce aż do przywódcy Klanu Pioruna, przewodzącego brutalną bitwę z Klanem Krwi 🩸♥️ Zawsze będę Cię wspierać i man nadzieję, że przygody Jeżynka będą trzymały poziom tak samo jak pierwsza seria.

Mimo że naprawdę Cię kocham Ognisty, to mam parę małych zastrzeżeń co do tej książki. Między innymi to, że nie zliczę, ile razy w książce pojawiło się określenie ✨Mysi móżdżek ✨ lub że nagle z dupy pojawił się Klan Krwi i chce wszystkich wymordować. Skoro tak bardzo im zależało na lesie, to czemu nie napadli na Klany już wcześniej? Dopiero, gdy Tygrysia Gwiazda im powiedział, ze mogą się zjednoczyć i zaatakować?

Jednak jestem usatysfakcjonowana, że Tygrysia Gwiazda dostał chyba najbardziej brutalniejszą śmierć z tej serii. W sensie ja tan bym go zabiła już dawno ale co ja mam do gadania ;)) Jedyne co mnie dość zdziwiło, to to, ze Ognisty od zawsze zakładał że Jeżynek (syn Tygrysiej Sraki) zdradzi klan a zrobiła to jego cute niewinna siostra 🤯🤯🤯 Omg
