Writing is never as hard as a writer shows it to be. But, it is not as easy and effortless as others think it is. Writing what you have in your mind is one of the most difficult things to do. The words must flow; the expressions must come the right way; the soul must remain intact over the edit iterations; the edits must contribute to the quality; and, the sequences must fall in place until the conclusion. If only all this was easy! That's why writing about writing makes even more sense.
For most of us, the focus is on the sellability of the content. But, we forget to check whether the content helps relieve the pains of the readers. Does the content bring any value to the readers? I am a certified technical writer. I specialize in content-design interoperability. In 2017, I published 'The Write Stride - A Conversation with Your Writing Self,' which is a self-help book on writing. Some of my articles and poems have appeared in national and international magazines. On Quora, I have over 400 answers. And, on my website, which has been live for the last 11 years, I have over a thousand followers. In my work time, I create videos and documentation. In my non-work time, I like to play with my daughter and read about (and collect) fountain pens—a newfound hobby.

Sure, this isn’t a very popular book but certainly a really helpful one. For a person like me who doesn’t just write for pleasure but uses content for marketing, influencing and making things happen, this book turns out to be very empathic. Although the book is only of 87 pages, each page is heavy with knowledge and experience of a professional technical writer. I am not a technical writer but a content writer for certain. My work not only demands me to write creatively but professionally too and this book is certainly gonna be something I go back to from time to time. I had so much to mark and highlight in this book throughout. Suyog Ketkar being a writer a heart and technical writer by profession, understands the struggle that goes into writing one perfect official letter or one spot-on description of a product. He explains in a very simple yet elaborative manner all the methods, tricks and techniques that can be used to write flawlessly. I genuinely enjoyed reading this one and I am glad I started my “52Weeks52Books” with this one especially at a time when my work demands a lot of (creative and non-creative) content from me and I am trying to grow as a writer. Thank you Suyog Ketkar for writing this one. I hope “The Write Stride: A Conversation With Your Writing Self” turns out to be a useful read for many more writers like me. 📚
After a long time, a book satiated my mind.I am not much into non-fiction, however, this book picked me to be read.I am glad to go through this thin-looking yet holistic view about writing.Even the foreword is impressive wherein author writes that all contents tiles are exclusive of each other.Still if you read conventionally, they are carefully interwoven.
I am into poetry, blogging and quotes but I could immediately connect with the diagrams and words that author has churned through his experience in Technical writing. You can actually practice the tips given in the book in your writing strategy from now.It changed my perspective about role of Technical Communication/Communication in professional and personal life
The best part is you don't have wear author's shoes.Indeed it is a conversation with your writing self.
I recommend it as a must-read for IT professionals.
Expressing yourself is tough but expressing your feelings, emotions with the help of words is the toughest thing. It's never easy to make sure that your message is taken in the same sense as you wish to, for me it's never easy to convey my message smoothly specially the complicated ones.

Exploring books from various genres is truly a treat. I have been stuck only to fictional reads earlier. But coming out of that comfort zone has led me to find so many informative and insightful reads and THE WRITE STRIDE by SUYOG KETKAR is one such read.
As the book title suggests this book is based on the topic 'Writing', more precisely, technical writing. This book lets us understand the basics of technical writing in a more simpler way. The whole content is narrowed down to 10 chapters which can be read as standalone or even together ! In either way, every topic makes sense. Pictorial representations made certain topics more interesting. ''The Story of Nonfiction'' is one chapter I loved the most ! It has so much interesting content about storytelling, the purpose of storytelling, differences between message and stories and the similarities and differences between storytelling and technical writing in a broader sense. This book focuses on various writing methodologies which would mould us to write and convey things more clearly.
