“Forgive the person and their actions, never give in to hate, let it go, set it free and KARMA will take care of what is meant to be” - Unknown To Kim, that was some bullshit. Growing up in the ghettos of the Bronx, life showed her nothing but its nasty side. Starting with her deadbeat dad she could never find it in her heart to forgive coming down to her mother that is hardly even there. Her life seems to take a turn for the better when Calvin comes into her life. She doesn’t care of he’s a criminal, she just wants her good life. Or at least, that’s what it seems she wants. Mysterious calls and demands makes Kim start to walk on a tightrope and she appears to be in a rush to complete an unknown agenda. Calvin might’ve have been giving her the life he thinks she deserves and he thinks Kim is his ride or die. But who is Kim really riding for?

Well this was short, pretty good read. I don't know if I missed something but I didn't get what Kim's plan was. Calvin begged her for years to be with him and she didn't want to because he was spreading himself so thin. She had her rules but the same thing she didn't want, she goes and do to him...but wanting him dead? Why? This is another book I may not bother to follow up on and I wish there were more standalone books.
I thought the book was good. Characters were developed and the book flowed. There are different emotions you will feel while reading this and I enjoyed how it was told from more than one person point of view.
THIS WAS MY FIRST READ BY THIS AUTHOR. IT WAS A GOOD READ.. KIM WAS CRAZY...SHE WAS ALL OVER THE PLACE. SHE WAS NOT A REAL FRIEND TO ALTHEA. I KNEW KIM AND CALVIN WOULDNT MAKE IT TOGETHER. LOOKING FORWARD TO SEE HOW IT ALL ENDS
