Book Blurb:-There is so much that happens in our twenties.Graduation, first job, first salary, staying away from home, dating, being broke, being bored with the job that you worked so hard to get, and relatives and neighbours sneakily trying to find a suitable bride/groom for you when you've no idea about what you want to do next in your life. You are a mess. You thought you'd have everything sorted; you had those dreams in your eyes when you graduated. But when you look at it you've nothing sorted, you don't know which way to turn and you constantly ask yourself "What am I doing?" Those dreams that you once wanted to turn into reality are still dreams.

But then you have those moments of pure bliss! Buying something for your parents with your hard earned money, being appreciated at work, excelling in a skill you never thought you had, realizing that you have friends who are real gems and are always there for you, and maybe finding the love of your life. Twenties may be a mess, but then when you look back they are a beautiful mess!

Alana is a twenty something too and there is a lot happening in her life. Read more about her journey in the book.

I have often been on Reema's blog and there's one thing you would notice when you read her posts and that is the authenticity of emotions. The A to Z challenge had kept me too busy to read all the dear bloggers, but I did made up a list of bloggers in my mind whom I had to read later. Reema was one of them!
Coming to the book, I think it's genuine from her heart, out of her own experiences and those of people around her. It binds you and makes you nostalgic of similar moments in your own life. It's not a book, it's like reading a diary that is very very similar to your own, if you have one. Each title is a song and won't it be great if you had that song playing in your earphones while you are reading that chapter?
The word flew swiftly throughout and were a constant reminder that you are not alone. After all, it's about life and times of a twenty something and we all go through it in some way or other.
I did read the acknowledgments and profile at the end and appreciate her for completing the challenge. Yes, it's too difficult with a full time job, now that I have done it myself and it takes a lot of courage and appreciation from fellow people/readers. Glad she had that support and could complete this lovely book or I would rather say a diary that's personal to every reader in its own beautiful manner.

Reema D'Souza has sketched out the reality of a twenty something lady through these 26 chapters. The struggles, stereo-types, social stigmas, social pressures all nicely stitched togeher making it a nice and easy read. I completed it in one sitting. I would suggest it to anyone who's taking a long flight, a perfect read to pass 2-3 hours.

Some of the things that appealed to me are :-

Staying away from home, the feeling resonates with me when I joined the Engineering college hostel, and suddenly started loving my Mom's cooking skills.
Falling in love with all its subtelty.
Lazing out the sundays without doing anything, a creative skill ofcourse.
Helping out the friends in their break-ups.
Finding out that happiness is being ordinary.

Covers most of twenty something life events which most of us go through and its a pleasant read. Of the stories told from A to Z, "E(X)ES AND OHS" was my favorite read!

Anybody who has lived through their twenties will relate to this book.

Reema covers the highlights and the more subtle experiences that people in their twenties experiences. Whether it is the first step out of their home, or experiencing a more matured love, or the new friendships that you cultivate... Firsts of many things like job/salary and the highs that come with it; break ups/failures and the lows that come with it.

It was a fun and light read that kept me engaged for a couple of hours.
