You are NOT alone! Many women suffer from self-doubt. They believe they are not good enough, bright enough, pretty enough, thin enough to succeed, and this belief is holding them back from realizing their potential, from becoming who they are meant to be.
Finding women to talk about this topic was never a challenge. Over the course of three years, authors Anne Day and Amy Vodarek connected with over 350 women through interviews, focus groups and surveys, and reflected on their own personal experiences. They wanted to learn more, to find out why these feelings exist and more importantly, what to do about them.
Often there is no one cause. But the main culprit? Ourselves. We are own worst critics. We judge ourselves harshly, aim for perfection and as a result, we do too much, strive too hard and wind up in overwhelm.
Through the heartfelt storytelling and real-life examples shared in this book you will learn that overwhelm, judgment, and fear of failure often lead women to believe that they are not good enough.
Embrace who you are. Unleash your Brilliance.
With its reflective questions and strategies to help you move out of the “not good enough” trenches,Good Enough will gently prompt you to step out of your own way so that you can design success and life on your terms.

If, like myself and so many women, you struggle to overcome nagging self-doubt and burn out from trying to meet impossible self-imposed standards, I highly recommend this book! It offers insight and guidance on how to stop the cycle of self-criticism. I was encouraged to find stories of women just like myself. Too often we are paralyzed by our fears, and the authors offer straightforward advice and strategies on how to let go of what is holding us back, identify our strengths, and realize our full potential. This book couldn’t come at a better time in history - when women seem finally ready to embrace their power. Whether you’re a CEO struggling with imposter syndrome, or an overwhelmed new mother trying to keep it together, this inspiring book can help you to recognize your value and stop selling yourself short.
I loved this book. The information gathered and shared in "Good Enough" will assist a large variety of women at various ages and stages in their careers and lives. Anne and Amy show their vulnerability in the personal stories they weave into the fabric of learning how to show your brilliance and Be Good Enough. I often find that in networking groups, when you just share your struggles, all kinds of solutions and ideas are born. Now help is here all in one book. A bonus for me in purchasing this book was knowing that a portion of the proceeds from this endeavour will be going to the young girl's program at the Canadian Women's Foundation.
I absolutely loved reading this book by Anne Day and Amy Vodarek. The authors interviewed over 350 women using a number of platforms, and discovered some common themes that were present, such as not feeling good enough, imposter syndrome, shame and lack of confidence to name a few. The stories the authors shared as well as those of many women confirm that there remains much to do to get women to embrace their gifts and leadership. It was an easy read, well written and contained a ton of insights. Women in community can find support and strength to reach their goals and create a better world. We've got this. Thank you for this book ladies!
