The Playboy's Secret Virgin

Rate this book
A hot shot billionaire playboy can be quite intimidating, especially for a plain Jane virgin like me. When the elevator doors open to my new boss glaring down at my disastrous coffee mishap on my first day at James Enterprises, the look of disgust on his handsomely chiseled face is menacing, knocking any hope for leaving him impressed right out the window. Or so I thought… Later that night when I’m coerced by my newfound office friend to have a few drinks at the local jazz club, I catch Anthony James’ attention from across the room and sparks fly. I try to resist the temptation—why would he possibly be attracted to a simple girl like me—but Anthony James always gets what he wants… is he deserving enough of my virginity?

I’m originally from a small southern town where everyone knew everyone and their business. I was so happy to leave and move to California for college where I was originally going to be a veterinarian. Well, I met a guy (yeah it’s that kind of story) and dropped out of school to have my oldest daughter. We soon divorced, and as therapy, I started to write.

I never did go back to college, and have been writing ever since. I love to write about sex. Lots of sex. Taboo sex, kinky sex, anything but missionary sex (unless the heroine is tied up tight 🙂 ) It’s probably something to do with my southern upbringing.

I hope you enjoy my stories and if you have any kinky stories, I’d love to hear about them.

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

I've read another series by M.S. Parker and really enjoyed it, but this standalone with Tasha Fawkes seemed a bit lacking.

There were some interesting aspects of the story that drew me in and kept me reading (which I won't spoil), but they weren't very powerful.

The character development was pretty well thought out, and the meet cute was quite funny. The heroine's background was quite unique as well. These were things that kept me intrigued.

Overall, I'd give it 3.25 stars.

The Playboy's Secret Virgin by Tasha Fawkes and M.S. Parker

The Playboy's Secret Virgin scandalizes with the innocent virgin and the lustful boss, but I expected more.  Was mildly intrigued, not hopelessly blown away.

The Playboy's Secret Virgin has the familiar theme-lazy, irresponsible playboy and the younger naïve, innocent virgin heroine and can you imagine what happens next?
Tasha Fawkes and MS Parker write a great story and bring much more to the genre than what is out there now and give it life. This story is about so much more than just Anthony & Jane . Its about how relationships start out, how they change and about how people view one another when the first outtake is not accurate. Both come from very different worlds to form a unique and special bond with one another that will last the test of time …or does it? There are twists and turns in this story that will have you wanting to find out if their love is true and if they do get their HEA.

My Rating: 4.5 stars *****

💋 👍💞

Anthony's father and cousin never was there to support him. It seems like they were looking for him to fail. Once he met Jane things changed in his life. He had a true supporter unlike his family. But that Trinity needed to grow up. I never did like attention grabbing divas, Trinity fits the bill. I love the ending. Jane and Anthony deserves it and more.

The Playboy's Secret Virgin has a familiar trope: the lazy, irresponsible playboy and the younger, inexperienced (read virgin) heroine meet and fall in love. But Tasha and MS do a really good job with this trope. Jane is the virgin in question. She may be younger and inexperienced, but she's not so naive. She's had a tough life, growing up in foster care. She doesn't want to conquer the world, she just wants a steady, stable job with a paycheck large enough to cover her expenses and allow her to live. When she lands a job with an ad agency, as an assistant to the big boss's son, she's full of nervous hope. But, when she meets her boss, he's not impressed, in fact he looks at her with disgust, thanks to a huge coffee stain obviously displayed on her blouse.

Thanks to her new friend at the office, she's at a bar where said friend, Chloe, is trying to round up a guy so Jane can get laid. Yep...Chloe is a firecracker and determined that a gorgeous woman like Jane have some pleasure in her life. But when Jane and Anthony meet again at that bar that night, Jane's (and Anthony's) lives will be changed permanently. Suddenly, Anthony is seeing Jane in a whole new light. In fact, he doesn't even recognize Jane as his new assistant. He sees her for the beautiful young woman she really is, and he wants her. And he sets out to get her. And get her, he does, that is until she freaks out for a reason only she knows, and takes off on him.

Will Anthony get her back? Will she explain to him why she ran off and dumped him? Will Anthony go back to his playboy ways? How will their working relationship handle this setback? I really enjoyed seeing Anthony fall in love and grow up. I felt for Jane, she had had a rough life and it had left damage on her poor heart. Thank God they got their shit together, though, because they're too cute of a couple to be apart.

If you like that good ol' trope where the virgin brings the playboy to his knees, you'll like The Playboy's Secret Virgin. It's sexy, well written and Jane and Anthony are a great couple. Can't wait for more from Tasha and MS!

On the face of it, “Playboy’s Secret Virgin” looks like the typical trope: spoiled rich guy drinks too much, parties too much, is an embarrassment to his straight-laced father, meets sweet, virginal younger woman in the Big City. But the great thing about MS Parker and Tasha Fawkes is that they don’t write typical stories in typical ways.

Yes, Anthony is a spoiled rich guy. Yes, he’s been running around partying too much and his Dad’s had it with him. The old man wants to run for public office and his hard-partying son is an embarrassment. He’s tried to force Anthony into the kind of man he wants him to be him entire life, and there’s really never been any other choice for him. Deep down, Anthony’s kind of lost. You realize Anthony’s actually not a bad guy. He’s a good friend, and he’s never messed around with the women in his dad’s company. He has a moral compass, unlike a lot of the rich playboys in current popular novels.

Jane is a sweet girl, and a strong person who’s been through a lot. She’s the “Secret Virgin” in the story, but the secret might not be exactly what you think. I’m not going to give it away, but it’s a bit more complicated than you think, which is a nice change. She’s certainly not naïve and Anthony doesn’t take advantage of her in any way. This isn’t one of those so-called “office romance” novels where the boss offers the stunningly gorgeous, barely legal young assistant (who doesn’t even know she’s gorgeous of course) lessons in sex in exchange for something – whatever the exchange is doesn’t matter because let’s face it, the whole thing is sexual harassment anyway – Anthony realizes quickly that Jane is smart. They honestly work together, and he respects her. I loved that.

I loved how things wrapped up, which I won’t give away of course, because spoilers are so rude. What I will say though, is that Anthony is an honest guy, and Jane is a strong, realistic woman. I love their relationship. It was a pleasure to review “The Playboy’s Secret Virgin” in exchange for an ARC.

I read this a few weeks ago and I must admit I forgot to put my thoughts down when I had finished it so I did a reread and I had to say that on the whole I thought that the story was a decent read and although it wasn’t a totally unique scenario it was enjoyable.
Meeting Anthony her new boss should have been a momentous day for Jane and in a way it was, just not for the right reasons, first of all she manages to coat herself in coffee before she even lays eyes on him and then ends up in an unfortunately situation where no matter what she said, the guy she was talking to just didn’t seem to be getting the message…obviously No wasn’t a word he was familiar with but it was new boss Anthony who stepped in to help her out and it was as clear as the nose on her face that there was a spark between the two of them…but I don’t know that they had any idea just that spark would grow!
I liked Anthony. Under the cosh by his father, not only for his womanising ways but also for the fact that he had been set a business ultimatum….make the target that had been set or he would be kicked out of the company. Now, that wasn’t something he was willing to face up to, so with Jane’s assistance he reaches the goal that his dad set. You would think that, that would have been good enough…not a chance, his father didn’t take kindly to the fact that his success had been a team effort and fired him anyway.
I liked the fact that the two of them didn’t just take the situation lying down, they struck out on their own and started their own business.
Jane wasn’t his normal type but she was the one woman that he knew meant more to him than any other women that he had been with previously…with Jane he was ready to play for keeps.
I read this is one sitting and I have to say it was perfect escapism.

Imagine the horror of meeting your new billionaire boss as you step off the elevator after a major coffee spill on your clothes. First day on the job, what a nightmare. Later that night Anthony rescued Jane from a guy who wouldn't take no for an answer. Sparks fly and chemistry abounds. Anthony has been at odds with his Dad because of his playboy ways and has given him a sales goal to meet or he's gone from the family company. With Jane's help he meets it and all is good until his dad finds out that a lot of the ideas came from Jane. After being fired he and Jane start a company and the chemistry continues. She's a virgin and he has no clue, he just knows that she is different from his one night stands. A fun emotional read that will have you page turning. A great read. I voluntarily reviewed this book.

MS Parker just seems to be pumping out some amazing stories lately and team that with Tasha Fawkes and you have a down right fantastical book.

This is Jane and Anthony's story, Jane is going to work for Anthony as his assistant, and Anthony has other ideas about working and that is that he doesn't want to work and would rather spend his time out partying and being with women.

Little do Jane and Anthony realize that their paths will cross later that night when Anthony rescues Jane from a slimy creep who wont take no for an answer, and when they have their first fake kiss the sparks fly, and a relationship starts, but will the secret Jane has send Anthony running to the hills and back to his playboy ways???

This was a hot, fast read that I literally could not put down.

The playboys secret virgin by Tasha Fawkes and M.S Parker is a must read. We meet Jane and Anthony in this book. Jane is a country girl that moved to the big city. Her childhood left us with much to be desired. She grew up in foster care always dreaming of something better while she was still stuck in her little bubble. Anthony is the son of the rich exec. He always had anything he needed at his fingertips. He led the typical playboy lifestyle. Jane becomes his assistant at work. Even though they had a less than memorable introduction they end up working great together. That business relationship evolves to a romantic relationship. But will Anthony's past come back to and destroy what they are building? This was a great 5 star read.

A Review of The Playboy's Secret Virgin by M.S. Parker

Jane and Anthony - 4 stars

I loved the cover on this one, which is one of the first things that drew me to it. This is a different storyline that what I thought it was going in. Andrew is basically a screw-up in his father's eyes and has demanded that he get this s&*t together and prove that he is worth the job he has been given. He has been assigned an assistant, regardless of the fact that he has dug in his heels saying he doesn't need one. The fact that she inspires him to give a decent pitch on an ad compaign should be a good sign, but his father does nothing but put him down for putting his political aspirations at risk. Very interesting storyline overall.

I enjoyed the story of millionaires son who is finally called to pull his weight (actually look like the son of a politician should) in the family business. Playboy was the job he preferred. His dad wasn't kidding this time. Someone assigned him an intern to be his assistant on a major client's account. He didn't even look at her at work which is why later in a bar he saved her from a strong-arm jerk who didn't like the word no.
She didn't like people to know she grew up in the system. That wasn't her biggest secret. That secret had kept her from involvement with men, especially like Anthony.
Can they work together? Will he decide to really work? How about a personal relationship? Can she get by her past? What about his past so different from hers.

Jane and Anthony's story was full of humor, sass and definitely some of steamy love scenes. I did find that about half way through the story, Jane's humor and sass just dropped off. Not sure if that's where the two author collaboration kicked in, but I missed the true Jane that started the book off. Enjoyed the way these two worked together on the Chambersmith account. Anthony's father was a complete jerk, and loved Chloe. Would have liked more clarification on Antony and Jane's relationship at the end, the reader is left with assuming things that I for one would have liked more upfront. Overall a pretty good book.

You would think this was another book about a rich player, but this book really is so much more then that. While he works for his dad, he now has to prove himself. And things get out of control. Jane is the innocent one in this entire thing. I loved Anthony's response to finding out her name is Jane...how she is nowhere near as plain as her name. Too bad Jane doesn't think that way. She gets a new job, it is Anthony's assistant. He doesn't even remember her from work, but they run into each other at the bar.

Without giving anything away I will say that this book is light-hearted and nothing like a typical billionaire/virgin story. You definitely want to check this one out.

Playboy billionaire meets smart, virgin intern and sparks started flying. Anthony didn't expect to like Jane but once he got to know her, he could not get her out of his mind. Same thing goes with Jane, never had any interest with any man because of what happened when she was younger but felt something as soon as she met Anthony. After having trust issues and secrets, being disowned by his own father, and her not taking the job that she wants, they finally accepted the fact that they can't live without the other. At the end, they got their own happily ever after with a company that they started om their own.

Down and dirty rotten hott!!

Tasha Fawkes and M.S. Parker outshine themselves once again in, The Playboy's Secret Virgin. The story of a badass playboy billionaire Anthony James, and a sweet little virgin Jane Ward reels you in from the very beginning. Both coming from way different worlds come together to form a special bond with one another that will last the test of times as long as they have each others love.

You get lost in stories as good as this one. I only hope to read many many more by these two incredible authors.

Not just a typical playboy/billionaire romance. I liked that this didn't just focus on the physical attraction between Anthony and Jane. They were both clearly complex characters, with their own flaws and attributes, and these were a great addition to the storyline.

Jane is intelligent, and a little naive. Anthony is trying to find his own identity out from under his father' thumb. A great mix of romance, sexual chemistry and trying to find your way in this crazy world.

Not quite like the rest!
Fell in love with Anthony - he is the perfect spoiled rich kid -he is actually and adult but I think he was late getting the memo.
Jane - I liked her there were a couple times I wanted her to pull up her big girl panties which she eventually does and damn is Anthony in for a treat
This was a quick read but Fawkes and Parker did an excellent job of bringing me in and keeping me engaged
Don't pass this one up - it is a refreshing second chance read

Jane is the new assistant to Anthony James. She goes into work on her first day, only for her new boss to leave the building and her in the lurch. What she doesn't expect is to be rescued by him in a bar later that night. From there things change for both of them. Jane has ideas for the agency, and Anthony puts them into use. What happens when Anthony's dad finds out whose ideas for used in the campaign? Find out in this awesome read!!!

I really enjoyed this sweet and funny love story. The characters are very likable with good chemistry. Jane is great but I loved Anthony, the playboy boss who falls like a ton of bricks for his Jane, his assistant. He is actually kind of a sweetheart. The story is engaging and flows really well thanks to the great writing of these two authors. This cute and sexy little romance is a great way to spend a couple of hours. 4.5 stars.

I really enjoyed this story. It is beautifully written and has a great plot to it. I loved the characters development in the story. It is fabulous to see how well Anthony changes thought the book. Poor Jane has such a rough start but blossoms famously throughout the book. It is another hit for such great authors. You won't want to put it down until you reach the end just to know how it ends. Another good read by MS Parker and Tasha Fawkes

This is the type of book that draws you in quick and you can't put down.
Anthony is a rich playboy who doesn't like to work. Jane is a poor girl with a secret past who needs a job. Anthony hires Jane and together they put together an awesome ad campaign while falling in live.
This story made me smile and cry in some parts. It is a very fast read that you won't want to put down. Recommend you read it.

It's a great match when you put together 2 people that are just looking for a chance at showing how good they can be. And of course is also hot as hell because Jane are Anthony are like fire together. These 2 have stamina! They saw in each other what no one else discovered and when they decided to run with it, they made each other even better and worked as a team.

Anthony is a playboy and his father is running for politics. He is supposed to grow up or be disowned.

Jane has a new job in the big city working as an assistant for the CEO's son. Her first day starts off terrible and gets worse into the evening.

After a run in with a creep at a bar she opens up an idea to Anthony for a client.

He wants her but she has hidden secrets.

Poor Jane starts her new job with one mishap after another, but she doesn't let it get her down. She is so resilient in everything she does and it finally rubs off on Anthony. He has the knowledge to be a great ad guy, but lacks the self confidence since his father is constantly telling him that he's worthless. So glad to see Jane and Anthony stand up the his bully father!

It was cute enough. Not much to the story but, I liked reading it still. I was worried towards the beginning because Jane was starting to be one of those martyrs "it's ALL my fault" because the guy chose to punch someone that was harassing you? How does that make sense? Overall it was worth the time but, wasn't anything to write home about.
