As a stand alone, I didn't find this issue quite as engaging as the others so far, perhaps because the only real major battle felt unresolved, whereas the others have all had some kind of finish. Additionally, many of the other plot elements regarding the family felt more like set-up than stand alone events. That being said, were I reading this in a volume, I'm sure I would have felt differently, as it clearly builds towards future events and conflicts, and since in a larger work, it would have felt right to slow things down a little after the charging pace of the first three. I am especially intrigued by the developing family dynamics, pretty much in all directions, the new couple, and as ever, Shiloh. Though not my favorite issue so far, I'm still really excited to see where the story goes from here, and would no doubt increase my rating were this in a larger collection. As ever the art and coloring is beautiful, and the characters well done in their subtlety and development. I really enjoyed the sense of foreboding with some of the family elements and can't wait to see where it goes!
A bit more of the plot moving forward in this one rather than big battles - though there was a battle. Though I'm wondering did Jerome actually kill Dag?!? Once Dag's wife appeared they never went back to him. I can't imagine Jerome leaving him so what exactly happened there? 😧
