(Kalem Suresi, 4/68)
I've the seerah (biography of the prophet) over half a dozen authors. I found this one was easy to follow and is a good first introduction to the life of the prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). I felt that this was a good overview of events that lacked proper depth of events. For example how can we gloss over the battle of the ditch (khandaq) without any reference to Salman Al Farsi? How can we refer to Khalid ibn walid as the sword of Allah without any reference to his achievements? Why was he deserving of such a title? There were many opportunities to share good context that were not taken. The print I had looked like a big book but the text was presented in an extremely wide margin. It felt like a waste of space.
