Eliza Nolan was born and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She lived in Charleston, South Carolina for a few years, after which she returned to icy Minnesota—where she now lives with her unruly cat in a house smaller than your closet.

I feel like I should start this review with a “burp” as I quite frankly gobbled Eliza Nolan’s Fire Within (The Phoenix Book 3) at scarily record speeds. It was just that too deliciously addictive. I’ve loved this entire series, and following Julia (a perfect leading character if ever there was one) and friends along this time around was pure reading pleasure. Read the publisher’s blurb for a perfectly good non-spoiler summary. Just be warned that when you start this it’s gonna be very hard to put down. Oh yes: you can kinda sorta read this stand alone but why would you? This is too good a series not to start with book 1 and reading them in order enhances the whole thing. Both the series and this book are highly recommended.

An adventure awaits you in this amazing read. Julia and her friends have to find the Ankatala (Book of the Phoenix). It will help her perform the final ritual for immortality. She is vulnerable to attacks if she does not complete the final ritual. Her enemies will try anything to prevent her from reaching her goal. I was captivated from the start.

Fire Within, by author Eliza Nolan, is the third and final installment in the authors The Phoenix trilogy. Protagonist Julia Long has accepted her fate as the Phoenix and all that comes with it. Super powers and immortality. For months, Julia and her gang have been trying to locate the Ankatala (Book of the Phoenix) which is said to hold the answer to performing the final ritual. But, until she completes the final ritual, she is vulnerable to attack which means that her enemies will try anything to prevent her from ascending.

What an intense and yet satisfying finale to the journey Julia takes to solidify her powers. Wow! The danger she faces and the unexpected allies along the way, it was just all so incredible! I truly loved this story.
