Having though up a plan of attack in the previous volume, it is now time to risk life, limb and more to execute it. Shido has to befriend Mukuro as with all spirits, but her powers offer some rather unexpected complications that are very troublesome to deal with. What follows is an entertaining addition to the series that fitted expectations both the good and to a lesser extent the bad. The characters are funny and entertaining (enjoyed Tohka especially much this volume), even if there are too many of them meaning we get to see too little of most. We get a trickle on the overarching plot and nature of spirits, but it is not much. The action is decent, and doesn't dominate the pages too much. Surprisingly few eyeroll moments this time. All in all, a solid addition to the series and enjoyable read even if a bit short as usual.
