Book 4 of the Irish Mob Chronicles...

I’d never leave a mark on her. Not intentionally. But the past has marked us both…

She’s the only woman I’ve ever wanted.

Grace. Sweet curves that I long to touch, a soft, gentle spirit that soothes my soul.

Of course, it’s not that simple.

She’s my brother’s best friend—and I was raised by a man who thinks every problem can be solved with his fists.

I’ve sworn not to follow his example, but does that matter? Grace deserves better than that. Better than me. Especially after the hell she’s been through.

I try to stay away, but all the good intentions in the world aren’t enough. She calls to me like a song in my blood, one I can’t resist.

Surrendering is better than I dreamed…until I blow it. And then the past rears its ugly head, and I have one shot to save Grace from her demons—and conquer my own.

The mystery continues even after all the brothers stories are told. So who is it coming for them? Whoever it is has some major connection and is someone the close brothers and mean father knows. IMO "Mark' felt like a cliffhangers with strong possibilities of more than vengeance coming from the enemy. The brothers have all found their "one" but hell is coming for all of them as a unit!

4.5 COMPELLING Stars ****

Note: I need to go back an reread all the Murphy brothers' stories... I'm missing something!

3.5 to 4

Good read but the beginning was bogged down to me with too much inner dialogue. I like him/her but they don’t care about me...got tired. Trying to figure out who the him guy is. Guess I am going to find out in the next book.

It's gonna blow up

I enjoyed the book. They both deserve a HEA. I feel like I must reread the first two books. I thought she an interest in Sean. So now the questions..who's coming? Why is Jade throwing Grace shade( acting really disrespectful). Is she jealous? Did she want Declan? Hmmm I don't even remember them having interaction in any other book. I'm guessing it will come out in the next book. Can't wait.

I rushed through this one. Just because it really didn’t keep my attention. I was also frustrated with the heroine. Her hang ups didn’t make any sense. However, I absolutely loooove Declan. I just wished he received a better love interest. Heck I wished he received a better story. I think this story was the most obvious out of all of them that it was filler for the final story of the series. Also, Moira’s story was stilted, disjointed...shoot I don’t know how to describe it, but after four books it still isn’t fleshed out. I understand that Aengus is a terrible human being but what did he actually do to her to make her do something so drastic that would take her away from her children!??!! Incomprehensible to me.

Meh

This was a fairly decent book but there was so much internal dialogue. So much boring internal dialogue that it became tedious. I had to skip over some stuff to get through the book. Also I noticed in several of this authors book the women are described as "not traditionally pretty" or "not much to look at." What? These men are supposed to be crazy in love with these women but refer to them in that way? Seems really backwards to me.

I don’t know what to think. This book was a five stars. This might’ve been one of my favorite books out of this series. I absolutely love them. Declan and Grace were absolutely so cute, the trials that they went through it was upsetting at times but I recommend this book to everybody. You should read this.

Good

Good series read. Can't wait to find out who this new twisted Murphy is in Wrath. The first 4 books were good lead ups. Love Grace n Declan 2gthr. Wished it had been more violent to show just how their clan runs the town.

This is Grace and Declan's story. I enjoyed this couple's story because the usual dynamics in their relationship. There was a little more dialogue than usual between this couple which I appreciated.

Too much brooding

Having both of the main characters as brooders was not a good story. Not enough words were spoken and too much internalizing. I'm betting that Fisher is a brother that was left behind in Ireland.

Whew!

Sooo Declan and Grace seem to dance around dragging out the story by several chapters longer than needed to bring it to the explosive end. Don’t doubt that the last ten chapters make this book!

NF. Probably should have started at the beginning of the series. This book started off with too much something so I couldn't connect with the characters. I don't think I really like Kaye Blue's writing.

Good read, but a little quieter than I expected for some reason. Not sure why I expected more action. We do learn a little more about the brother's business and the Mom, which was good. Declan is kind of the mysterious brother, so I had hoped we'd learn a little more about him.

Looking forward to finding out who the mystery Murphy is. The finale is shaping up to be a good one.

This was a total miss, just like Sean's story. I'm pretty disappointed in the complete lack of a story line or character development. The first thing that irked the crap out of me? NO. ONE. TALKED. The entire romance novel was pretty much Declan and Grace thinking things in their head but failing to actually... TALK TO EACH OTHER. How do you have plot advancement and a story when both the lead characters speak in one-word responses? And that's IF they even talk. The amount of "she turned on her heel and walked away," "he didn't respond" and "we stood there in silence" made this seem like this was a romance of two weird mute people. The characters don't even have a physical interaction until 40% through the novel and again, they barely had a conversation leading up to it. But by the half-way mark of the story, the characters are somehow deep in their feelings are for each other. HOW, SWAY?

Also, nothing happens until the last quarter of the book. Grace goes to the bar. Declan stares at her. Grace closes the bar. Declan cleans up and follows her home. Grace and Declan do the horizontal polka. Grace avoids Declan. Rinse. Repeat.

What kind of Irish Mob is this by the way? Ain't nobody 'mobbin' at all!! Declan is way too stoically sappy for me to believe that he's part of anybody's mob. And the rest of the brothers are too busy recreating the Brady bunch. Just call this "Irish American Dudes Chronicles" and leave the mob out of it.

Grace has obviously suffered some type of trauma and abuse but... there's no mention of it until the last quarter of the book. Same with Declan, he's harboring a secret that we don't figure out until towards the end. There was no character development at all. It was just a magical transition from not speaking to each other FOR FIVE YEARS to oh geez, let's be together forever. For $5 this was a waste of money and time and I'm disappointed since Patrick and Michael had really good stories.
