Getting ready for a vacation? Don’t forget to grab a copy of A Woman Scorned A Morgan/ Morales Murder Mystery by Christine Smith. I was hooked from the first page as the writing is impeccably unique and intriguing.

The author was so busy building up the first few chapters to reveal the characters of the story. I would be much happier if she incorporated more pages for that as it was filled with delightful dating scenes and delicious meals where I entangled to the story and devoured each scene slowly and peacefully. The story revolves around two UK families (the Taylors and Seagers) who moved to Spain. Life in Spain gradually changed their lives to a thunderstorm.

Clare is a dedicated investigative journalist who loved her husband Taylor and her kids Peter and Amy. She never disclosed her professional matters to Taylor and was usually stuck to her duties.

Guy Seager is a lead drug smuggler in the UK and moved to Spain to expand his business. He married Marylin, a beautiful wife. She had plenty of money but never was able to enjoy her life as Seager was arrogant and abusive.

Taylors and Seagers became family friends when they were in Spain. Taylor attracted to Marylin as his marriage with Clare is not satisfying his needs. Clare and Taylor were apart even they were under one roof.

Seager’s business is going well in Spain and Clare is spying on him. Morgan and Morales investigate the murder of Clare and reveal the Seager’s hidden personality as an illicit drug smuggler.

After plenty of plot twists, the author made a remarkable ending that is calm and serene. This is a highly original, live, incredible thriller book. I enjoyed each page and eagerly waiting to read the next book of Morgan/ Morales Murder Mystery.

Last but not least, I would like to extract my favourite quote from the book.

“Heav'n hath no Rage, like Love to Hatred turn'd,
Nor Hell a Fury, like a Woman scorn'd.”

Happy reading!

A really good read.

I purchased the Kindle version yesterday and finished it today. Christine has created a very good story and the fact it's set in Spain makes it even more enjoyable.
Hopefully there will be a second Morales/Morgan book. There is definitely a series here and I will be looking out for book 2. Well done Christine. You've a future and your fans are waiting.....
