About the author

Jacqui M. Rankin is the author of Darkness Forbidden, her first novel published by Scorpius Books in December 2012.
Her second novel, Retribution Darkened, and the third novel, Dark Child, completed the trilogy.
Her passion for writing began as a child, when she would create stories based around her pets. Her love of the supernatural and paranormal evolved, and she wrote her first full length novel at the age of 15. Now she works as a freelance copy-editor and publisher.
Residing in rural Essex, England, she lives with her husband, daughter and Pumpkin, the cat.

I enjoyed this sequel. It was still dark which I liked. I felt like I was missing part of the story for the beginning half of the book & honestly was getting quite frustrated but then the history was finally revealed. I won't go into too much detail but I will say that I felt bad for both Alex & Nadia & I'm not sure if either really is fully to blame. So much happened to do any of it justice here, so I'll leave you with saying that I would definitely recommend this book & series to anyone who enjoys a good darker vampire book.

Fantstic

This is a vampire tale like no other I have ever read. Truly a unique spin that will love you begging for more.
