Benny loves having a job. He is able to get out from under his parents overprotective thumb and meet some really nice people. But his freedom doesn't last long...not when Wade Rising enters the bar. This was.... very busy. Got a between shifters mating this time. Learned what to expect with interspecies babies. Bunnies, or was it just Benny, are like super horny energizer bunnies who make their mate think their equipment finally conked out from overuse. The wolves are treading territory for unknown reasons. Humans are starting to turn up unannounced, unwelcome, and causing chaos.
Hmm.. busy...
So for the last bit... my take. In keeping with previous this is probably going to be a little mean. How do any humans manage to get to the bear houses without being noticed by said bears. Bears who a) have great hearing, b) have a great sense of smell, c) don't have anyone on guard duty (were they? if so they sucked) when they know there's trouble.
Annndd, the sheriff, who IS human, seemed to be able to keep up with the bear/wolf/bunny chase. Human. Older. Past his Prime. Carrying a weapon.... eh, see where I'm going with this?
Now, Benny chasing his mate out the door... So Bobby Ray doesn't stop the pregnant mate chasing after his mate out the door? And once Wade is aware of Benny, there should have been no argument about going back. First priority would be to get said mate into safety, not let them wander around outside with questionable surroundings towards home without making damn sure.
Oh, and all these humans that had to be killed.. how are they going to explain that away? If they got 'lost' more will come to try to find them. They can't just disappear without something to cover it up...
AND, one last thing.. for the grand scheme of things.. I just Duh realized that this is called Grizzly Ridge. That is actually the town I believe. Either way that could encompass all the residents living there, including different shifter groups... without having to make a new sub 'series'. I will most likely get to the last bear brother and then after that.... I don't know..

Wade
I have never laughed so hard or been so moved by Wade and Benny's story. Bear and a Bunny--too funny. What I also loved was the feeling of family. The brothers teased Benny but knew he was family. Good job Lynn! Can't wait for Duane's story.

Lynn Hagen knows how to write a book full of intrigue, kidnapping, greed, fear, teasing, machismo, and a posse in the woods. This is a humorous story full of prey shifters - Bunnies that are recklessly fearless, as well as some of the Bear shifters. The third book involves another sudden bite, but also a very public "kidnapping" in a crowded bar in Grizzly Ridge. Causing a bartender / owner, a mean sheriff and the kidnapped mates parents a great deal of consternation.
Consternation and a posse that became aimed at the Bears on the mountain. But even worse than the posse was the invasion of the Bunny's parents. In laws coming to rescue their youngest son. Tough no nonsense Bunnies.
Benny the Bunny had wanted to get away from under his over protective parents thumbs, but not into the mess his parents had always warned him about and where he found himself. Well not all of it. Some of it wasn't too bad. Actually it was downright screamingly delightful. So much so the other Bears prayed he'd hurry and get pregnant.
The Bears kept teasing & sniffing him as being Prey to the point that the Bunnies never knew if they were playing or not. Then there were the other shifters on the mountains. But far worse was the posse rounded up by the corrupt sheriff, who was using the chance to hunt and shoot the Bears, as well as for other nefarious purposes.
One Forest Ranger tries to protect the Bears and their mates, but ends up in the wrong place at the wrong time. I wonder - I hope he will be someone's mate?
It was a fun adventure with the Bunny shifter, Benny as a loud mate! For you mpreg fans, Bobby Ray & Noel experience their delivery and Wade's mate becomes pregnant. Bunny lovers will enjoy this book as much as mpreg fans.

Pas baca bukunya Clint, ku merasa Wade yg paling menderita di antara para Rising bros. Luka di punggungnya itu bukti kekerasan yg diperbuat sm Ayahnya yg psycho.
Anyway, si Wade ketemu sm Benny pas Wade sm saudaranya Duane ke bar di Grizzly Ridge. Mereka berdua mau nyari one-night stand. Di situ Wade tertarik sm seorang new server dengan rambut platinum blond dan hazel eyes, bernama Benny dan kebetulan bahwa Benny itu rabbit shifter. What an odd couple, a bear and a bunny. hahaha
Benny dibawa kabur Wade sm Duane ke rumah mereka, di gunung. Benny merasa takut karena dia berada di tengah-tengah predator dan lebih parahnya lagi dan lucu menurut ku itu adalah Duane. Tatapan Duane ke Benny itu tatapan predator ke mangsa empuk dan Duane ga sungkan-sungkan ngomong kalau Benny itu santapan enak yg pastinya membuat Wade kesal. Setelah Wade nge-claim Benny sebagai his mate dan Benny-nya hamil, Wade berjanji kalau dia dan Rising bros lainnya ga akan makan kelinci lagi karena Wade takut kalau kelinci yg dia makan itu mungkin merupakan keluarganya Benny. Hilang deh kesempatan Duane untuk makan kelinci XD
Wade and Benny are fucking like a rabbit, literally. Staminanya Benny itu luar biasa dan untungnya Wade bisa ngimbangin tp Benny merasa insecure karena Wade ga pernah ngobrol bagaimana perasaannya dia nanti sbg Ayah.
Makin ke sini, intensitas kekerasannya makin meninggi tp masih bisa ditolerir dan ancaman semakin banyak.
Di buku ini komplit isinya, sisi romantisnya ada, humornya ada, kekerasannya juga ada, 4 bintang.

September 27, 2020This was pretty interesting, and cute, with Wade and his little bunny shifter. I did like that both of the main characters were shifters so time didn't have to be wasted explaining the meaning of what being a mate entails, or letting them know that shifters even exist, which, to me, can become tedious after a while. Benny and his family were adorable bunnies who were bold and sometimes hilarious. It would have been nice to have seen more interaction between the bear brothers and Benny's parents. There were some riveting moments with a human hunting posse (which lasted just a bit too long, but that's just me) who were determined to end the shifters. I do wish that there was much less discord among the other shifters on the mountain (especially the wolves) since they all share a common goal. The writing was as exquisite as usual, with an engrossing plot.

Definitely my favorite in the series so far. At first, I didn’t think I was going to like Wade. He was a bit too like his brothers, but he grew on me as the story progressed. I loved Benny the bunny and his crazy over the top parents. All in all, this story was just the mindless entertainment I needed.
