A great, short shifter story

I've been in the shifter story mood and this hit the spot. Short, sexy and sweet.

-no cheating
-no pushing away
-instalove
-no om drama
-ow drama- the female alpha of the pack tries to challenge the heroine. The hero had never slept with her in the past
-very short but cute epilogue

I loved the first half.. it was on its way to be a solid 4 star read (at least!) for me. Then it all fell apart at the end. A little disappointed.

Worst week of my book life! One trash after another.
I'm not looking for Shakespeare here, but please, is it really too much to ask for "half a decent book"!
I mean who agrees to stay with an unknown person, not even a man, but any unknown person in a brand new town for 30 days under VERY questionable circumstances?
I mean Hunan trafficking, organ harvesting, drug lord, serial killer....I can go on with the list!!!!!
And her ability to make decisions like find out the lawyer and realtors just vanishes in thin air because well sex????
Then the hero, not only did he manipulate every decision the heroine made, which was bad enough, he springs on the heroine to be with him (for which she had not much choice, he manipulated her into mating and pursued her relentlessly) she has to fight another woman and kill her? When did SHE sign up for THAT? She was NOT ok with killing someone, it is NOT ok to manipulate someone to murder! Also what if she DIDN'T win????? The OW would have killed her and he had NO fucking backup plan except for having faith on heroine's strength.
I had a distinct feeling that he would have killed the OW if she won but how is that honourable or act of a true alpha?? He failed to protect the OW who WAS part of his team and the worst part is he was so nonchalant and remorseless about the whole thing!!
The heroine was SEETHING for being manipulated for about TWO lines and remorseful for killing the OW for about ONE and all her backbone melted because of well once again sex???!! Really? It's THAT easy to get over murdering a fellow human whose only fault was she wanted your man who's not really a keeper to begin with?
How is guy an alpha? And how can this heroine sleep at night?
There was BAREST MINIMUM apology(really a #sorrynotsorry situation) and ZERO grovel.

'The Alpha's Arrangement' by Ryan Michele is the story of Carter and Izzy.
This book is about 115 pages...so it a nice quick read!
Izzy has just moved to the mountains of Montana after being in the City most of her life. Izzy is trying to fit in when she goes to the local grocery store to stock her new house. The people there look at her and know she is a new person and Izzy tries to smile and be friendly. But when she hits the meat department there are two huge men there that when they sense her they both turn around. Carter stops the other guy from making a move toward her but Carter starts asking her if she is moved in and demands to help her. That is just the start of Carter and his Alpha ways. Carter knows when Izzy hits the town that she is his life mate and nothing will keep him from her.
I just love this Hot, Instant Alpha Love...and this story didn't disappoint.

Quite ridiculous, really. She's damn near sucking his fingers into her mouth the first time they meet. Pretty much all of the dude's behavior would have been filed under "Crossing the Line". The bare bones of the plot would have worked as a full-length novel, though.

The Alpha’s Arrangement is part of the Howl’s Romance series. This can be read as a standalone. If you love paranormal romance than this is the book for you!
Alpha’s Arrangement is Izzy and Carter’s story. Izzy decides she needs a change from the big city living and moves to a small town. Of course, the first person she runs into is Carter. Carter is the alpha of his clan and is used to getting what he wants. There is an instant connection and attraction. Izzy does not understand what is happening, but Carter knows he has found his mate. Now he must convince Izzy this is fate and was meant to be. There is no denying the connection they feel, but will they be able to get pass him being a wolf. Will she be able to understand and agree to being with Carter what that will entail?
I love Ryan Michelle and her writing and this was no exception! It was a hot, fun read and you will not be disappointed with it.

This book was short and sweet and just full of goodness, lol

Carter is a possessive alpha male shifter who knew that Izzy was his mate the moment he saw her in the grocery store
Izzy decides to settle down in the mountains of Montana, but what she didn't count on was a alpha male wolf shifter who was being so nice to her even thought he didn't know her

Meeting Carter Izzy didn't know what hit her she doesn't understand why she is so attracted to Carter and to this black wolf who shows up one night on her patio.

This is short story about an alpha finding his mate and taking the time to date her and make her fall in love with him.

t has been a long time since I’ve read a Paranormal novel and most pnr that I read dealt with Vampires. I never read a novel about a wolf shifter!

I flipping loved Carter and his Alpha ways! and yes I'm using the Alpha term in the true sense. Carter is the Alpha of his pack. He's the top dog and he's found his mate in a human named Izzy...only she doesn't know it yet!

Izzy moves to the mountains in Montana to not only get a change of scenery but also a new life. She didn't expect to run into a Carter and his friends. Nor did she ever imagine the clause she happened to look over when she signed the deed to her new house. The clause that states the house comes along with Carter....for eternity. She's soon to learn things about Carter that she never in her wildest dreams would have imagined.

I loved the hell out of The Alpha’s Arrangement! The alpha vibe shines bright in this novel!

Carter and his pack are epic. I loved the little humorous moments here and there. This novel is the perfect novel if you're just getting into Wolf Shifter novels.

The alpha's Arrangement is a great fast paced read! I highly recommend!

Heartwarming and sexy…

This was such a great paranormal read filled with humour and super hot shapeshifters…Carter is the Alpha of his pack and he is nothing if not persistent when he sets his sights on Izzy…..boy is he determined….of course there is also the small matter of him being a magical being and her complete ignorance of the fact but this just makes the story all the more enjoyable…

Izzy recounts the story from her perspective which provides a personal narrative of her gradual awakening to the supernatural world she encounters……There are a number of memorable moments in the book but my favourite is the initial meeting between Izzy and Carter at the local supermarket…Carter is so alpha and protective and Izzy is a perfect match and the heat and sexual chemistry that builds between them is super hot…. the secondary characters are also wonderfully described; I became infatuated by Carter and his band of shapeshifting brothers…..their interactions are full of camaraderie and brotherly affection… Owen in particular is one character I would like to know more about….

The storyline is light and romantic however there is a scene towards the end involving Izzy which seemed to develop very quickly and although disturbing is also swiftly dismissed by Carter I did not think that the event itself or the reactions of Izzy and Carter reflected the overall feel of the book…

That said this is an engaging short read with plenty of pace; and is in the main heartwarming, a sexy paranormal romance with a great cast…. This book was reviewed for Summer's Eve Reads...

Ok. I tried to finish this book, honestly I really did, but I just couldn't. I think it's fair to say I'm not looking for reality (as I'm reading a shifter romance novel) but this was just ridiculous....

SPOILERS: how ANY person could move to a new town and randomly let themselves live with some strange dude for 30 days was just beyond me... like is he taking me to a human trafficking ring??? Is he going to harvest my organs??? Is he keeping me there as a slave of some sorts???? I just could NEVER believe this story line because it was just SO against anything that any rational (or even slightly rational) person would ever do. As I said, I'm not looking for reality, but some believable thread of a storyline would be nice, (and I'm saying that while reading a WAREWOLF novel......)

I have to say that I am a big fan of Ryan Michele's books so I love reading everything and anything by her so I am glad to come across her latest release.

This was a light fun quick read filled with passion,humor and hotness.We loved it !

Carter realizes that Izzy is his mate after meeting her in the grocery store and sets out to make her his immediately .

I loved both these characters they were fun love-able,had a sense of humor and they had tons of chemistry between them.I loved how Carter went about courting Izzy without her even knowing what he was up to.He defiantly had a few tricks up his sleeve for sure.

Overall it was just a quick read that gave me more than a few chuckles and smiles throughout the entire story.Its the kind of story that makes you feel good and has you smiling at the exchanges between the characters as they were alot of fun to read about.


My favorite scene and part would have to be Izzy giving birth as she had me cracking up !
Omg to funny!

Looking for something light and fun with love-able character's this ones for you.

I'm such a huge fan of Ryan Michele and I love this series it's written by some of my favorite authors and authors that I'm getting to know on my to be read list . I adored everything about Izzy and Carters relationship they have such a strong connection and when it reaches it boiling point it became really intense . So if you are looking for a short steamy read with a alpha male that will craving more and a heroine that is just awesome and understanding then The Alphas arrangement is just what you are looking for .

I love reading about shifters. And this storyline was pretty good. It's insta and quick. I would loved more bitch drama, but I can live with just a short moment of it. Lol

Our hero Carter is sneaky and possessive wolf. I liked that about him. And I know 'safe read' lovers will adore him.

With Izzy is a little different. I was a little frustrated with her. I'm not a fan of h, who losses her all marbles and just drools on sight of H. I like for h to have some wit about her, to have coherent thoughts and not to give every time to H just because he smiled or gave her 'that' look. I don't say that Izzy was completely like this, but it was too close for my liking. I would liked if Izzy was more aware so to speak, instead of rolling with questionable things since she moved. But on the other hand, maybe that acceptance was wolf thing. She may have been just plain human, but Izzy still felt connection even before forming mating bond with Carter. I guess, it's depends how you look at things.

Izzy, needing a new start moves to a small town, tired of the big city. She has already dealt with finding a place and signed all the paperwork. What she doesn't realize is that the house also comes with Carter. Carter knows at first sniff that Izzy is his mate, now he just has to get her used to the idea, even if that means bending the rules a bit. Will Izzy be willing to give Carter a chance when she finds out that he is a bit different? Or will she run for the hills when things get furry?

So this was a cute short story, the kind that you can read over your lunch break. With some drama, an alpha that knows what he wants, this was a really fast paced story that took me 30 min to read. I give this 4 stars.

An intriguing sexy paranormal novella that will satisfy your Shifter fix! Who wouldn't want a Hot Possessive Alpha to connive his way into your life and make you fall deeply in love with him. That is exactly what Carter does to Izzy. Their friendship to lovers comes quick and it is Sensual and HOT! Their romance has some bumps one being she is human and Carter is a Wolf Shifter (an Alpha Wolf Shifer) but they are Mates and meant to be. Owen (Carter's friend) had me laughing when his antics and harmless flirting would drive Carter crazy. He is one character I hope we get more of in future books. Although there were some scenes that I wish was more in depth I really enjoyed The Alpha's Arrangement.

I was pulled right into this story. The story has laughs, steam, wolf shifter, and heartbreak.

This is Izzy and Carter’s story. When Izzy moved to the mountains she was looking for a fresh start. What she got was a super-hot man that is always around. Carter knew just when his mate walked into town. He will stop at nothing to have her. Only issues is she knows nothing about shifters and he does not know if or when she finds out if she will be okay with it and him. He is totally alpha and not used to waiting but he might be able to make a small exception for his mate. Will she accept him or will she run from him?

I felt I could connect with the characters and the story was a great read.

I highly recommend this book.

I have really enjoyed other novella's from the Howls Romance line. So I was really looking forward to this book, especially since I have enjoyed Mrs. Michele's other shifter books. But this one just kind of fell flat for me.

I felt like we didn't get to know the character's at all in this book. This book was all in Izzy's POV, so yes we got to know her a little bit better. But at the same time I felt like we didn't get to know her at all.

I didn't think we got to know Carter at all. He didn't even really start speaking until chapter six. Than that was just a few words at a time. He didn't really start talking till the end of the book. So I can't say if I liked or disliked him at all.

Look I really wanted to enjoy this novella. But as I said at the top it just fell flat for me. I need more interaction between the characters and that means talking. Not at chapter six or seven when the book is almost over. Especially since this was a short little read.

I'm giving this book 3.5 Stars out of 5!!!

I fell for the writing style of this author when I read her MC books. Not so much a fan of the less than snarky and gritty shifter book. This one started out with something different than the typical but it lost it after the mated and finished much too rushed. This just wasn't up to my expectations for this author. Having said that, it wasn't a bad read and some may enjoy it .

It was ok...not good but ok. Reason being it was just too easy. She made it too easy on the guy. She kinda just layed down and accepted everything. I even understand insta-love and this wasn't even that. It was slow going for the most part. Not every woman would willingly live with a strange man the 1st day she met him contract dwelling or not! She had no backbone. Just sayin it was a little unbelievable to me. I did like the first half of the book better than the last half. It was just too easy and I know this writer is a good writer, but this just wasnt up to par in my opinion. Also, this ends at 67% and we all know I hate when they do that. I dont care about putting teasers into books to make them longer. I stop reading when its done. So, sorry your not getting the credit for the full length from me.
