I think you did a great job of explaining the concepts to a layperson. I particularly found both the Thought Stream and also the Thoughts Storm as a snow globe metaphors extremely effective! It's very easy to relate to and very eye-opening. Hopefully I can find a way to start practicing some of this thought work into my own life! The idea that our normal state is peace - so simple, but so difficult to realize without it being pointed out!" - Ashley R. "I love your book. It's so wise and clear. I'm very grateful that you sent me a copy!" - Ingrid M. "I found the thought processes you speak of very enlightening and it does seem to make the complex reasons for anxiety simpler to understand." - Cyndy F. "It's great! Well written and flows well. I like that you began with your story and laid things out really nicely. The separate sections are super helpful and make logical sense to anyone who is new (or old) to the concept. Overall this book is VERY needed and useful and just has a really nice feeling to it as well. I think it would also be a reference for someone who has anxiety. A book they go back to when they get caught up in their thoughts." - Lana B.

Very helpful and eye opening contents. I am greatful to have stumble upon this marvelous book. Would recommend to everyone who want control of their life and specially with good intends.
So many aha moments while reading this book. I now know where I stand at. I’m living with constant anxiety for a while and now that I feel like it’s getting out of control. Reading this book, accidentally, is at the right time and at the very moment I most need it. So much peace during and after reading it. Will read it again and again. Otherwise, I’ll forget about it as the author did suggest.
Jill has written a simple to understand book that explains clearly how thoughts and minds work and how to simply observe them and not react It's a bit like if people bully you and you react in whatever way it gets worse for you as they do it more but then if you didn't react and just observed the bullies they would stop bothering you Simple!
Down to earth, funny, and so easy to read! I read the intro and was quickly drawn in by Jill’s real life story describing her amazing discovery, and immediately downloaded the book. I loved so much about Jill’s writing, she keeps this profound understanding simple and pure.
Straight forward and simple. Not patronising or overly intellectual. I think the advise is totally worth following. Read it in a few hours and will keep referring to it.
This is a fantastic, short read that I knocked out in one sitting. Jill Whalen did a phenomenal job by packing a ton of information, tools, and her personal experience within this book. The book starts with Whalen’s personal experience struggling with anxiety and how she used alcohol to cope, which I could definitely relate to. She then discusses her “aha” moment and teaches the reader about how our thoughts cause our anxiety, and thoughts aren’t facts, and they also don’t last forever. As someone who is a fan of meditation and Buddhist practices, it was great seeing how accessible she made these philosophies to the average person, and I think anyone who struggles with anxiety will gain a ton of value from this book.
My eyes have been well and truly opened. Had this not been an ebook I would of probably had to replace my ran out highlighter. So many pieces of advice that I highlighted and completely related to. I hope I can condition myself to this books way of dealing with anxiety. I've done as the author has for many years. Numbed it with unhealthy addictive behaviours. I'm feeling hopeful and at peace right now. Thank you Jill.
