Mondays

Birdie—
Two men.
Two promises to stay with me, love me.
Forever.
I'd only ended up hurt, destroyed actually.
Moving forward was all I could do, so that's what I'd done, leaving the past behind.

Beck—
Two women.
One who’d broken promises to me.
The other who felt I’d done the same to her.
I was going to make things right even though I knew someone would get hurt in the process.
Myself included.

When Bernadette—Birdie—Chapman and Beck Griffin met in grief counseling, neither was prepared when they fell in love. Nor were they ready for the heartache that soon followed.

It’s been two years since they last talked.

But has the pain of wanting someone they know they can't have subsided?

The Wait series—a love story of two broken hearts that find each other…and try to become a whole…

I was so looking forward to this book after reading the first one. I can't wait to find out what's next for Birdie and Beck.

And then this came out...

And it was sooo disappointing. All those buildup was all for nothing.

I commend Beck, even admire him, for sticking it out with his wife and try to repair their relationship. But then when he finally had his chance with Birdie, he fucked it all up again. He acts childish at times that I'm wondering why I even liked him in the first place. The girl just told him that she just wanted her alone time because for two fucking years, she hadn't have to answer to anyone. Birdie has a hard time acclimating always having him by his side and really, that alone time was mostly due to her work that she was needed in a different state.

So what did Beck do? He stormed out and hanged out with his player friend and let someone straddle him and let him see her boobs. Only then did he remembered that he shouldn't fuck things up with Birdie.

And when she didn't want to go with him to another state because he was promoted, he thought that by marrying her he could convince her. And so propose he did. Only to find out that Birdie is pregnant, but that didn't deter him. So in the end, when she still refused to uproot hwr life, leave her family, friends and work just to appease him, the bastard walked away.

So yeah. I'm done with this book. No more book 3 for me.

You are freakin' kidding me! No sign of a cliffy in sight and BAM -- I am so not happy with this situation. We just came through a huge heartbreak with the last one.

I am loving the WAIT Series -- and I guess it truly fits its title. Because here we are in a "waiting" pattern -- until 2018! When in 2018? This hurts!

And can I just say that I really don't like that little Birdie right now! She has flown the coop too easily. And the coop is in a state of a big change that needs all its chicks in a row.

This is definitely one of those times where I'm literally screaming at the screen and HATING STUPID CLIFFHANGERS!!!

Mondays by Harper Bentley is the second book in The Wait Series. Mondays can be read as a standalone, but I recommend to read the books in order. Book one in the series, Thursdays tells the story of Birdie and Beck and their partners.
Now, more than 2 years later, Birdie and Beck´s story continues.
Birdie Chapman puts her life back together, slowly. She has a great job and good friends.
Beck is unhappy in his loveless marriage. He tries and tries to make a happy life with his wife.
What neither knows, fate has their decisions already made .
I can´t say how much I love this book. It is raw, it is gritty and I could feel the characters emotions in the words. I read this book in one sitting, I couldn´t put it down. I loved reading how Birdie channelled her inner goddess. I love that she stands up for herself and that she makes decisions based on her needs.
The writing is brilliant and I love the story, I love the words and I love the characters, their flaws and their love for each other.
Favorite Quote: " You don´t get to chose who you love. "
I recommend the book, give 5 stars and hopethere will be a next installment. Thank you Harper Bentley!

I binged this book on Release Day as I have been impatiently waiting for more Birdie and Beck since book one, Thursdays. I needed to know if they ever got their HEA. Harper Bentley delivers again. I loved it!! Plenty of emotions, action and seriously hot chemistry. Plus a cliffhanger that left me trying to turn more pages on my IPad while shouting Noooooo!!! Harper you're killing me with where this one lets off.... Cannot wait for the next book in this series. Definitely recommend

What?!?!?! Are you freaking serious?!?!?! I swear if I didn't need my phone I would throw it against the wall right about know. (Sigh)
My heart is freaking Broken. I am devastated!!!! I swear I want to throw something. I couldn't wait to read this after I read Thursday's the excitement I felt was utterly ridiculous and even though I knew Beck went back where I didn't want him I had to admire him for sticking it out but then fate steps in again and I was on cloud nine only to find the rug not yanked or jerked but completely obliterated out from under me. I'm sick to my stomach and so upset. Why you ask....because it is a f along cliffhanger. Yes a epic proportions cliffhanger and get this the next book isn't gonna be released until 2018. OMG!!!! I can not take it. That is so wrong. I just was not prepared for that like at all.
Now with that rant I loved the book but now I hate it too( not really but I'm a tad emotional right now). I just can't take it. Please release early!!' I'm so sorry Beck!!!!

Oh, Harper Bentley… You really know how to leave us hanging! Mondays, Book II in the Wait Series is an emotional ride. As always from Harper Bentley, this story is beautifully written, and the draw between Birdie and Beck is undeniable.

And now, we have to wait for the next installment! I love a good cliffhanger and this one will break your heart.

5 big stars. Go. Run. Download.

Since losing her husband, AND the man she met and fell in love with while dealing with the loss of her husband, Bernadette (Birdie) Chapman has slowly rebuilt her life. Working a job she loves, moving to a new apartment and just starting over… she has finally started to be happy again…

Beck Griffin has dedicated the last two years to taking care of his sick wife. Letting the woman he loved go so he could take care of the woman he made a vow to was not an easy decision. But now, life has thrown him another curve… and she keeps popping up in the most convenient of places…

This was a good… incredibly slow burn, read. Birdie is a strong, successful woman, who has done so much with her life after experiencing so much loss in it already. Beck gave up everything he ever wanted to take care of a woman who betrayed him. I will confess, I have not read the first in the series, but I never once felt lost within this book as it was written to cover any story we may have missed/forgotten. I absolutely love when an author is able to achieve this level of storytelling!

I liked the plot, and how the romance between Birdie and Beck eventually progresses. Be warned, that this book is not the last you will be seeing of Birdie and Beck… their story takes another turn and the wait must continue…

I received a complimentary copy of this book for my honest and unbiased review.
